Claims (6)

  1. A tool for the mechanical connection of plates (3) or the like, for their interconnection or for the connection of components to plates by rivets, by continuous joining or the like, with a stamp (1) and a die (2), each of which are supported at their ends facing away from the plates (3) in a tool holder of a machine tool, wherein a pin (4) is provided for each stamp (1) facing the plates (3), and a recess (5) is arranged in the die (2) formed of several parts, characterised in that
    - the recess in the die (2) is designed as a bag opening with inflexible lateral walls;
    - the die (2) is designed in two parts, in which an insert part (13) is arranged in a receiving part (12) as the bottom of the bag opening, which part consists of harder material than the receiving part (12), and
    - this insert part (13) is clamped in the bag opening (5) on the side facing away from the plates.
  2.   4. The tool according to any one of the preceding claims, characterised in that the positive connection between the insert part (8, 13) and the holder (7, 12) is designed as a press connection.
  5. The tool according to any one of the preceding claims, characterised in that the connection between the holder (7, 12) and the insert part (8, 13) is torsion resistant.
  6.
