Definitions
- the present invention relates to a socket outlet which comprises a hubcap provided with a front wall having two holes intended to receive two contact pins of a plug, and a body, placed at the rear of the hubcap, which houses female type contact elements located opposite the said front wall and a flap, interposed between said contact elements and said front wall, movable between different positions, and comprising, on a face, inclined surfaces capable of being positioned opposite said holes when said flap is in one of its positions.
- the shutter is movable in translation between a first and a second position under the action a ground pin or a keyed actuation pin inserted in the insulating housing housing the flap via an additional orifice provided in the front wall of the hubcap.
- this is the earth pin carried by the plug inserted in the socket outlet, and, according to the document ES 1 046 309, it is an actuating pin secured to an adapter coding reported on the plug before its insertion into the socket current concerned.
- the shutter is rotatable between a first and a second position under the action of a ground pin inserted in the insulating housing housing the shutter via a additional hole provided in the front wall of the hubcap.
- this earth pin is carried by the plug inserted in the base outlet in question.
- the component comprises three branches extending radially from a central part by which it is rotatably mounted, two of the three branches covering the two contact elements phase and neutral female type, the third covering the contact element earthen.
- the two branches of the shutter covering the phase contact elements and neutral female type each bear on one side, on the one hand, a side plane which, in a first position of the flap, is able to position itself opposite said holes for closing it, and, on the other hand, an inclined cam surface which, in a second position of the flap, is capable of being positioned opposite said hole for allow the subsequent introduction of a phase or neutral pin into one of the female type contact elements by the complete erasure of the branches of the shutter.
- the third branch of the flap has, on its face facing the orifice for inserting the earth pin carried by the plug, an inclined cam surface allowing said earth spindle to rotate said flap from its first towards its second position.
- the flap has only two branches in the extension of one another, on either side of a central part, which cover the female type phase and neutral contact elements, and which are each provided, on one side, with a flat surface and an inclined surface coming opposite said holes of the front wall of the base, in a first and a second position of the flap. So here, the rotational movement of the flap between its first and second positions is achieved, via an actuating lever, by the earth pin carried by the plug inserted in the base.
- the aforementioned socket outlets have as main disadvantage that they are insecure.
- socket outlets have a single piece, the shutter, to close the holes or cells for access to the contact elements.
- a user can then always, using a tool, such as a screwdriver, bring the shutter to its second service position then tilt it to access the contact elements of the base in question.
- a tool such as a screwdriver
- socket outlets are so-called sockets coding in which it is necessary to intervene, at first, on the shutter to bring functional slopes of the latter opposite the holes in the front wall of the hubcap and allow, in a second step, inserting the active pins of the plug inside the electrical contacts of female type via the holes provided in the front wall of the hubcap.
- the invention proposes a socket outlet, as defined in the introduction, characterized in that it comprises a shutter element interposed between the face rear of said front wall and said flap and provided with windows giving to contact pins of the plug access to said inclined surfaces of the shutter, this shutter element, movable between a first and a second position, comprising cooperation means able to cooperate with a spindle actuator inserted into said insulating housing to pass said element shutter from its first position, in which it closes said holes of said front wall of the hubcap, in its second position, in which said windows are placed in line with said holes in the front wall of the hubcap.
- the level of security of the socket outlet according to the invention is increased.
- the invention proposes a range of socket outlets including a first base without polarization with a cover and a second base in which the hubcap is provided with an additional hole for the introduction inside said body of an actuating pin of a adapter attached to a plug to be inserted into said second base, said means of cooperation of the shutter element being placed opposite said hole additional to cooperate with said actuating pin introduced at inside the body in order to pass said obturator element from its first position at its second position.
