Definitions
- the present invention relates to dredging systems intended as part of the underwater mining to blow up these at a safe distance from the towing vessel of the dredge to rid the underwater seabed of dangerous mines for boats circulating in the area. It allows more particularly to obtain a lighter system that is easily transportable, easily deployable and recoverable, and can be easily towed.
- Multi-dredging systems known to date include a set of fish towed behind the boat dredger and which are equipped with various devices to obtain a variable magnetic field to simulate the magnetic signature of a building of high tonnage and thus to lure the mines to make them explode.
- Older systems include a set of magnets permanent adjustable with more or less ease.
- a newer system patented by the plaintiff and known in the trade as "STERNE” allows to obtain a magnetic signature closer to the reality by using a system of electromagnets.
- fish forming this system are relatively heavy and they must also be used in large numbers. We then obtain a bulky system, difficult to deploy and maneuverable.
- the invention proposes a system of multi-influence dredging, of the type using at least two towed fish one behind the other, and having at least one horizontal solenoid, mainly characterized in that it comprises a conductive cable connecting fish to form at least a horizontal loop around them.
- said loop is maintained open with a set of paravanes.
- the system comprises at most three fish and two loops surrounding respectively the first set and second fish and all second and third fish.
- At least two of the fish include a ventral electrode for circulating a current electric in the marine environment in which is dredged.
- it comprises means for apply between these electrodes a potential difference comprising a DC component and a low frequency modulated component.
- it comprises three fish each having an electrode and the means for applying a difference of potential make it possible to apply a difference of potential continuous between two of these electrodes and a modulated potential difference at very low frequency between one of these two electrodes and the third.
- the means for applying a potential difference are constituted by a current generator.
- the means for applying a potential difference are constituted by a galvanic torque resulting from the different constitution of the electrodes between them.
- the very low modulation frequency is achieved by inserting into the galvanic pair a modular resistance.
- the system according to the invention comprises, as shown in Figure 1, a set of two, or at most 3, fish 101,102,103 towed in a known manner by a towing boat, using a cable of towing electrotractor not shown in the figure and known in itself.
- These fish are interconnected by electrical cables 104 which allow to define around them a horizontal current loop. These cables are held apart in the width direction by diverging or paravanes, 105 known in themselves that exert a horizontal force under the effect of the hydrodynamic drag that is exerted on them, allowing to obtain a horizontal loop having a large surface.
- the fish are also equipped with electrodes 106 which generate electrical currents in the marine environment continuous and / or low frequency with which an electric field is associated very low frequency electromagnetic, which improves the simulation phenomena.
- FIG. 2 shows a view in transparency of one of these fish. It has a known structure, with a hollow body elongated 107, horizontal wings 112, a stabilizing fin 108 located at the rear and a stabilizing keel 109 located below this body.
- This fish comprises, in known manner, a solenoid 110 with a core ferromagnetic longitudinal axis located in the body 107, and a projector acoustic 111 located in the keel 109.
- this projector acoustics will preferably be high frequency for the first and the second fish, and low frequency for the third. When there is only two fish, the first will be high frequency and the second low frequency.
- the fish further comprises an electrode 106 hydrodynamic form located under the ventral wall of the body 107 and preferentially in front of it.
- an electrode 106 hydrodynamic form located under the ventral wall of the body 107 and preferentially in front of it.
- each of the three fish will have such an electrode, but, according to a variant embodiment, only the two extreme fish (in the case of three fish) will include this electrode.
- the entire drag thus constituted operates in emulation to simulate the electrical, electromagnetic and of a boat of sufficient size to trigger the explosion of mines above which the dredge passes.
- the acoustic signature is delivered by acoustic projectors 111 and horizontal magnetizations come from the current flowing in the core solenoid ferromagnetic 110.
- the cables 104 spaced apart by the paravanes 105, take the form of substantially ovoid loops, shown in a view from above in FIG. 3.
- these cables are fixed to the ends of the wings 112 of the fish 101 which make it possible to maintain the immersion of these and which have, in this embodiment, a span substantially equal to three meters.
- the fish still in this example, are themselves distant from each other of a length substantially equal to thirty meters and are connected by a towing cable 113.
- the parameters of the paravanes are then chosen so that the maximum opening of the loops formed by the cables 104 is substantially equal to 10 meters.
- These horizontal cables are of the multicore type, for example with 20 conductors which are put in series to form horizontal loops of 20 turns.
- an electric current is passed through the marine environment in which is dredged, according to current lines represented for example in FIG. 4.
- These electric currents are continuous or at very low frequencies, depending on potential differences applied electrodes 106. They thus make it possible to simulate the phenomena of corrosion of the building emulated by the dredge, as well as their modulation by the rotation of the propellers of this building. They also make it possible to obtain magnetic field that is transverse under the keel of the drag and which complete in this way the modulations generated by the solenoids 110, as well as current loops 104.
- a fixed potential difference can be established between the electrodes carried by the first and second fish, which then makes it possible to obtain the direct current lines 114 which can thus well represent the corrosion phenomena on the half front part of the emulated boat.
- an alternative potential difference low frequency, and even very low frequency, between the electrodes carried by the second and third fish the phenomena will be emulated electrochemicals such as those produced by the cathodic protection of propellers of the boat on the half aft part of the emulated boat, as well as the modulation of currents associated with these electrochemical phenomena by the rotation of the propeller.
- This difference in potential will come preferably of a current generator, which makes it possible to obtain an impedance determined solely by the surface of the electrodes 106, independently distances between them.
- a modulated resistor inserted in series between these two electrodes, for represent the alternative phenomena associated with the rotation of the helix.
- the current flowing through these electrodes will have an intensity of 5 amperes, the equivalent resistance of the marine current set being then substantially equal to four ohms for a distance between fish equal to 30m. Under these conditions, the transverse magnetic field will have a value of about 100 nT and the horizontal component of the field electric a value of the order of 3 mV / m.
