Definitions
- the invention relates to a receiving device for the desiccant Refrigerant in an air conditioning system for motor vehicles, the inclusion of which perforated wall and in one with the one collector of the Condenser of the air conditioning connected collector and arranged with a End is attached to a cover of the collector and being the collector is connected to the collecting pipe via inlet and outlet openings.
- the described recording device is known from EP 1 147 930 B1 and from a number of other publications.
- the patent holder of the EP is identical to the applicant of this patent application.
- the drying agent is usually accommodated in a flow-through container.
- the receiving device usually consists of a suitable plastic with openings in the entire wall, so that it represents a closed, cage-like container in which the container with the drying agent that can be flowed through is located.
- This known design has few functional disadvantages, but it has been found that the use of such receiving devices is a not inconsiderable cost factor.
- the manufacturers and the users are different companies, the manufacturers offering the receiving device with the enclosed drying agent as one product.
- a notable functional disadvantage of the known pick-up device is, however, that the granular drying agent is ground in a relatively short time due to the abrasion, as a result of which its effect wears off.
- the abrasion must be filtered out of the refrigerant.
- the present invention is based on the object of proposing a receiving device which delays or reduces the abrasion of the drying agent.
- the first solution according to the invention is based on the characteristic of Claim 1 in that the side of the inflow opening closest Receiving device through the wall at least in the area of the inflow opening / s is essentially closed for the purpose of flow deflection and that between the side of the Wall and the wall of the collector's receiving space for the desiccant is trained.
- the wall towards the inflow opening is essentially closed, the result is that the refrigerant cannot flow directly onto the drying agent, which has proven to be the cause of the rapid abrasion of the drying agent.
- the closed design of the wall represents a flow deflection.
- the refrigerant can be deflected laterally and / or upwards and downwards and thus wets the drying agent more evenly. This keeps the desiccant usable for a long time.
- the flow deflection promotes the separation of the gaseous components of the refrigerant from the liquid components.
- the drying agent and the receiving device can be procured or provided as individual parts and, in addition, much cheaper, when the condenser is completed, together in the Collectors are used.
- the cross section of the wall of the receiving device is preferably one-sided open profile and has an approximately arcuate shape. This makes it possible Use desiccant lightly. However, the wall can also be unprofiled, i.e. H. just be trained without having to accept significant disadvantages.
- the two edges of the profile or the wall preferably lie against the wall of the collector.
- the wall is provided with openings above the inflow opening, which limits the flow resistance for the refrigerant. This training is necessary for adjacent edges so that the refrigerant can flow.
- the effects of the second inventive solution according to claim 8 are limited to the delay in the abrasion of the drying agent by the Providing a wall closed in the area of the inflow opening. Furthermore the wall can remain as described in EP 1 147 930 B1, which is said to be on this wall Place expressly disclosed should apply.
- the wall has a circular one Cross-section and is perforated in the other areas.
- a filter basket is preferably releasably attached to the wall of the Collector a seal and a filter is located below the seal.
- the filter basket is preferably cylindrical in cross section.
- the section AA in FIG. 1 goes through the inflow and outflow openings 8 , 9 and in fact lies on the center 51 of the collector 4 , an upper inflow opening 8 and a lower outflow opening 9 being provided in this exemplary embodiment.
- a holder 20 is arranged in the upper region of the collector 4 .
- the collector 4 is fastened to the header pipe 2 with this holder 20 and with the socket 21 at the inflow opening 8 and with the socket 22 at the outflow opening 9 .
- the manifold 2 was only drawn using dashed lines.
- the condenser 3 also consists of flat tubes 23 and corrugated fins 24 through which cooling air flows, some of which are indicated in FIG. 2.
- the flat tubes 2 also open at the opposite end, not shown, in a collecting tube.
- the manifold 2 shown has at least one partition 25 , just below the inflow opening 8 , so that the refrigerant can flow from the flat tubes 23 into the manifold 2 and through the inflow opening 8 into the collector 4 according to the arrows shown in FIG. 2 and thereby comes into contact with the drying agent.
- the refrigerant should preferably only wet the drying agent 34 . Therefore, the main flow of the refrigerant goes down through the window-like openings 36 into the filter basket 14 and through the filter 17 . The refrigerant then flows through the lower flow opening 9 back into the condenser 3 in order to leave it at a point not shown in an at least predominantly liquid and supercooled state.
- the type of flow only serves to describe the functioning of the exemplary embodiment shown, but is otherwise of secondary importance in the present context.
- Several inflow and outflow openings 8 ; 9 are provided.
- the receptacle 1 which is arranged in the collector 4 , is of greater importance.
- the receptacle 1 is detachably attached to the closure cover 6 at the upper end 5 .
- a dovetail-shaped connection 30 can be used, which is provided in the same way at the lower end 13 for connection to the filter basket 14 and is provided with the reference number 31 there .
- the filter basket 14 is approximately cylindrical.
- a seal 15 is provided around its circumference, which ensures that the refrigerant does not remain unfiltered, since it must flow through the wall 17 of the filter basket 14 designed as a filter 16 .
- the filtered-out residues collect in the cylindrical interior of the filter basket 14 and can be removed.
- the residues essentially consist of the abrasion of the drying agent 34 , which is in the form of granules in the drying bag 33 .
- the dryer bag 33 was shown in FIGS. 4, 5 and 6. FIG.
- the dryer bag 33 shows a cross section through the dryer bag 33 , which can be described as approximately oval and thus corresponds approximately to the cross section that is present between the wall 7 (in this exemplary embodiment), which is designed as a profile open on one side, and the wall 12 of the collector 4 ,
- the length 35 (FIG. 6) of the dryer bag 33 corresponds approximately to the length 35 of the receiving device 1 , so that the space in the collector 4 within the receiving device 1 is approximately filled with the dryer bag 33 . (Not shown). Since the shape of the dryer bag 33 approximately fills the space inside the receiving device 1 , it does not have to be additionally fastened therein, because it is held by the wall 7 of the receiving device 1 and the wall 12 of the collector 4 .
- the receiving device 1 has a lid 41 at the top and a bottom 40 at the bottom, so that it is prevented that the dryer bag 33 can make significant movements during operation which could be regarded as undesirable.
- the cross-section of the receptacle 1, which is not shown but can be seen by looking at FIGS. 2 and 3, is, in this embodiment, as has already been explained, similar to a profile open on one side, the open side being the side 10 of the inlet 10 which is remote from the inflow opening 8 Wall 7 is.
- the open side is also to be understood as meaning such a side 10 that is predominantly open, so that one can still speak of the open side 10 if this side 10 is crossed by a few connecting struts (not shown) around the receiving device 1 train more stable.
- the wall 7 is not profiled, ie it is flat.
- the distance of the wall 7 from the inflow opening 8 that can be seen in FIG. 2 is selected such that the space in the collector 4 is predominantly available as a receiving space for the dryer bag 33 .
- the distance shown here lies approximately in the middle between the central plane 50 of the collector 4 and the wall 12 of the collector 4 or the mouth of the inflow opening 8 . As a result, the pressure drop in the refrigerant will remain within reasonable limits.
- the wall 7 of the receiving device 1 closest to the inflow opening 8 which, in contrast to the distant side 10 , can be regarded as the closest side, is essentially closed where the inflow opening 8 lies and forms a flow deflection 27 for what enters the collector 4 refrigerant.
- the flow of the refrigerant can therefore not directly hit the dryer granules in the dryer bag 33 and grind the same with its kinetic energy after a short time, but is first directed up and down around the wall 7 .
- the wall 7 has a multiplicity of openings 11 through which the refrigerant flows in order to come into contact with the drying agent 34 .
- the openings 11 have a larger surface area than the wall 7 remaining there in order not to create unnecessary flow resistances for the refrigerant.
- the lateral flow around the wall 7 has been substantially prevented because, as shown in FIG. 3, the wall 7 with its two edges 32 abuts the wall 12 of the collector 4 approximately at the central plane 50 . This contact of the wall 7 with the wall 12 improves the positional stability of the receptacle 1 in the collector 4 .
- the edges 32 have not been applied on both sides, as a result of which the lateral flow around the wall 7 is possible.
- the openings 11 in the wall 7 could then optionally be dispensed with.
- FIG. 7 shows the alternative solution from claim 8 in a section, similar to FIG. 2, with the illustration of one header pipe 2 being omitted here.
- the receiving device 1 consists of a cage-like container in which the drying agent 34 is located in the dryer bag 33 , which, however, was not shown in FIG. 7.
- the container 1 and the collector 4 have a round cross section, as the sketched section is intended to show just above the inflow opening 8 .
- the wall 7 has a large number of openings 11 in a freely selectable manner. However, in the area in front of the inflow opening 8 , the wall 7 was designed without openings 11 , ie as a closed wall 27 , in order to prevent the flow (arrows) from directly touching the drying agent. Therefore, the drying agent remains effective for a longer period.
Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a receiving device for the desiccant Refrigerant in an air conditioning system for motor vehicles, the inclusion of which perforated wall and in one with the one collector of the Condenser of the air conditioning connected collector and arranged with a End is attached to a cover of the collector and being the collector is connected to the collecting pipe via inlet and outlet openings.
The described recording device is known from
In the receiving device, the drying agent is usually accommodated in a flow-through container. The receiving device usually consists of a suitable plastic with openings in the entire wall, so that it represents a closed, cage-like container in which the container with the drying agent that can be flowed through is located. This known design has few functional disadvantages, but it has been found that the use of such receiving devices is a not inconsiderable cost factor. The manufacturers and the users are different companies, the manufacturers offering the receiving device with the enclosed drying agent as one product.
A notable functional disadvantage of the known pick-up device is, however, that the granular drying agent is ground in a relatively short time due to the abrasion, as a result of which its effect wears off. The abrasion must be filtered out of the refrigerant.
The present invention is based on the object of proposing a receiving device which delays or reduces the abrasion of the drying agent.
The first solution according to the invention is based on the characteristic of
Because the wall towards the inflow opening is essentially closed, the result is that the refrigerant cannot flow directly onto the drying agent, which has proven to be the cause of the rapid abrasion of the drying agent. The closed design of the wall represents a flow deflection. The refrigerant can be deflected laterally and / or upwards and downwards and thus wets the drying agent more evenly. This keeps the desiccant usable for a long time. In addition, it was found that the flow deflection promotes the separation of the gaseous components of the refrigerant from the liquid components.
Because the receiving space for the drying agent is formed between the side of the wall away from the inflow opening and the wall of the collector, the drying agent and the receiving device can be procured or provided as individual parts and, in addition, much cheaper, when the condenser is completed, together in the Collectors are used.
The cross section of the wall of the receiving device is preferably one-sided open profile and has an approximately arcuate shape. This makes it possible Use desiccant lightly. However, the wall can also be unprofiled, i.e. H. just be trained without having to accept significant disadvantages.
The two edges of the profile or the wall preferably lie against the wall of the collector.
The wall is provided with openings above the inflow opening, which limits the flow resistance for the refrigerant. This training is necessary for adjacent edges so that the refrigerant can flow.
The effects of the second inventive solution according to
At the end of the receptacle opposite the cover a filter basket is preferably releasably attached to the wall of the Collector a seal and a filter is located below the seal.
Der Filterkorb ist im Querschnitt vorzugsweise zylinderförmig. The filter basket is preferably cylindrical in cross section.
Filtered out residues from the Collect refrigerant by loosening the cap and removing the Can be removed together with the filter basket.
The section AA in FIG. 1 goes through the inflow and
The
In diesem Ausführungsbeispiel, könnte dann
In the exemplary embodiment, the lateral flow around the
Trocknungsmittel trifft. Deshalb bleibt das Trocknungsmittel für einen längeren
Zeitraum wirksam.FIG. 7 shows the alternative solution from
