Nachteilig hierbei ist jedoch, daß aufgrund der Eigensteifigkeit und der Rückstellkräfte des Packungsmaterials das Verkleben zur Herstellung der Zigarettenpackung nicht unproblematisch ist. Dieses erfolgt üblicherweise an überlappenden Bereichen des Zuschnittbogens, die die Seitenwände der Schachtel bilden. Durch die abgerundeten oder abgeschrägten Kanten sind diese überlappenden Bereiche deutlich reduziert gegenüber einer normalen Hinge-Lid-Schachtel, so daß nur eine begrenzte Menge Klebstoff aufgetragen werden kann. Die Folge ist daher, daß die maschinelle Produktion verlangsamt wird, da länger abgewartet werden muß, bis die relativ geringe Menge des Klebstoffs gut abgetrocknet ist, da die Schachtel ansonsten durch die Rückstellkräfte des Materials sich wieder öffnen würde.The disadvantage here, however, is that due to the inherent rigidity and the restoring forces of the packing material, the bonding for the production of the cigarette pack is not without problems. Je nachdem, ob der Zuschnittbogen später längs oder quer aus der fertigen Materialbahn geschnitten wird, sind die langen Fasern in dem Zuschnittbogen quer zur Längsachse des Zuschnittbogens (Breitbahn) oder längs zur Längsachse des Zuschnittbogens (Schmalbahn) angeordnet. Die Orientierung der Fasern quer zur Längsrichtung des Breitbahn-Zuschnittbogens bewirkt eine gute Biegbarkeit um die Querachse, jedoch eine schlechte Biegbarkeit um die Längsachse.
