Description

The invention relates to a method for detecting the machine state of elements or assemblies of an oscillating device in continuous casting for liquid metals, especially for liquid steel, with a mounted on a lift table continuous casting mold, the lifting table periodically via one or more oscillating in a resilient guide and up is moved.

Mechanical or hydraulic oscillation devices for molds are used in continuous casters for billet, block, pre-profile, slab and thin-strand cross-sectional shapes. The lift table with the continuous casting mold can be equipped with spring systems as a guide or as a load compensation device. The drive of the system consists of mechanical eccentric gears or hydraulic oscillating drives, ie piston-cylinder units which are controlled or controlled by electronic control systems, the control systems essentially providing a dynamic position setpoint adjustment for the generation of a required periodic Provide movement sequence of Kokillenoszillation in the casting operation.

A lifting table with oscillation drive for a continuous casting machine is from the DE 100 33 656 A1 known. The pressure in the hydraulic fluid is measured here continuously and the pressure values over the working surfaces of several piston-cylinder units are converted into a filling level in the mold.

Letztere können durch eine Leerlaufmessung separat ermittelt werden.WO 02/070172 discloses a method for determining characteristic data of an oscillation system of an oscillating continuous casting mold. A hysteresis curve of the stroke is determined as a function of the drive force over a stroke cycle, in order to determine the loss work of the oscillation system from the area of the hysteresis curve. The loss work basically includes the friction losses between the mold and the strand as well as mechanical losses in the suspension and drive train. The latter can be determined separately by an idle measurement.

From the EP 0 992 302 A1 A method is known for the continuous control of the basic setting and the oscillation parameters of a continuous casting mold. The mold is arranged on a lifting table, which is supported by four angular hydraulic cylinders and vibrated. The oscillatory forces of all four hydraulic cylinders are recorded and evaluated at the same time together with the respective positions of the hydraulic cylinders, for example in a casting gap; this is a balancing aid for the basic setting of the oscillation. An evaluation of the relationship of force and position allows the detection of irregularities, such as the break of a leadership role.

The invention has for its object to provide an alternative and compared to the prior art simplified method for checking whether the expiration of the periodic movements of the lift table with the continuous casting mold due to normal working elements or assemblies of the oscillating takes place or if individual elements or assemblies not functional work and thereby falsify the course of the movements:

The stated object is achieved by the method claimed in claim 1.

Thereby, a recognition of the state of the entire oscillating device take place. The recorded characteristic is generated in the idle state of the system and thus in new condition. When comparing this good state with the characteristic in the operating state deviations are immediately visible, the operator understands easily and, if necessary, can take immediate action. This diagnosis can be made without a local inspection or even the removal of components. The diagnosis can also be carried out with changed oscillation values. In the first recording, substantially the given operating window is traversed (with respect to the oscillatory strokes driven in production), e.g. + / - 8 mm, based on a given starting situation.

The deviations that may have been detected in the comparison of the two characteristic curves may be in a gradient or level change. Thus, in addition to the finding of a modified spring stiffness and unwanted collisions, such as cast residues in the oscillation, which cause an additional load or changes in the drive system, can be determined.

In an embodiment of the invention, it is provided that the characteristic is recorded in each case as a function of the distance covered and the momentary force of the oscillation drive. This record can then be stored in the control and diagnosis system of the oscillation drive.

It is also advantageous that the characteristic curve is formed from the respective chamber pressures in the cylinder of one or more hydraulic piston-cylinder drives as oscillation drive. As a result, average values can be formed for the totality of the drives. The designs can be adapted to the respective drive concept according to the number of piston-cylinder units.

According to other features it is provided that the data recording and a graphic or numerical representation in the control and diagnosis system of the oscillation drive is made. The further processing of the recorded values can be used directly as control values for pressure regulation.

It is also advantageous that the characteristic curve is generated cyclically. As a result, a historical change in characteristics can be easily determined. In addition, the archiving can take place at the same time.

Another possibility of monitoring is that when detected spring break the resilient guide or when exceeding a maximum force or below a minimum force of the oscillation drive is automatically switched off. The required limits can be determined according to the given oscillation system.

The invention allows the operator an optimal basic setting or utilization of the oscillating device. For this purpose, it is provided that a good state of the oscillation characteristic curve is adjusted on the basis of the position of a visualized characteristic curve and thus on the basis of the utilization of the load compensation performed by the resilient guide. In comparison to the theoretically determined data (spring constants and weight forces), the optimal basic setting can be determined. In particular, in multi-cylinder arrangements corresponding basic settings that have an equal load distribution as an objective (distribution of forces on all connected cylinders) can be simplified.

In the drawings, embodiments of the invention are shown, which are explained in more detail below.

Die Oszillationsantriebe 4 bestehen im Ausführungsbeispiel aus hydraulischen Kolben-Zylinder-Antrieben 4a mit Kolben 4b.According to Fig. 1 an oscillating device 1 is provided in a continuous casting plant for liquid steel, with a mounted on a lifting table 2 continuous casting mold 3. The lifting table 2 is periodically moved up and down about one, two or four oscillating drives 4 in an existing of leaf spring assemblies resilient guide 5 to the solidifying casting strand from the continuous casting mold 3 to solve. The resilient guide 5 can also be used for load compensation. In the exemplary embodiment, the oscillating drives 4 consist of hydraulic piston-cylinder drives 4a with pistons 4b.

The regulation or control of the oscillation drives 4 via electronic control systems, which essentially cause a dynamic position setpoint setting for the generation of a desired periodic movement of Kokillenoszillation for the casting operation.

These movements are exploited to record a characteristic curve 8 for the good state via incremental changes in position 6 of the oscillation drive 4, and to compare this with a characteristic curve 9 (deviating) corresponding to the respective state during operation. The recording takes place in the idling state (casting break) of the continuous casting plant.

The characteristic curve 8 can be recorded in each case as a function of the distance traveled 10 and the instantaneous force 11 of the oscillation drive 4.

The characteristic curve 8 is formed from the respective pressure 12a and 12b in the cylinder 13 of one or more hydraulic piston-cylinder drives 4a.

This data-log 14 ( Fig. 2 ), as well as a graphical or numerical representation 15 is stored in a control and diagnostic system 16 of the oscillation drive 4. Since the characteristics 8; 9 are generated cyclically, a permanent monitoring of the machine state takes place.

Between a change in the spring characteristic 18 within the resilient guide 5 as a changed spring stiffness (deviation from the characteristic curve 8 or as a spring break) can also occur undesirable phenomena such. Cast residues in the oscillation apparatus 1 causing an increase in the base load 21 or changes in the drive system).

When detected spring break the resilient guide 5 or when exceeding a maximum force or below a minimum force of the oscillation drive 4 is automatically switched off.

Based on the position of a visualized characteristic 8 or 9 in the image representation 25 and thus based on the utilization of the force caused by the resilient guide 5 load compensation a good state of the oscillation characteristic 8 can be adjusted.

The characteristic curve 8 for the good state is recorded via a hydraulic pressure measurement 22 by means of pressure sensors 23 respectively at the cylinder chambers in front of and behind the piston 4b of the oscillation drive 4 or in the pressure lines 24. With gradual change 29 of position 6 of the piston 4b in the cylinder 13, the formation of the characteristic curves 8; 9 automatically pass through the rule and diagnostic system 16 (see "Setpoints for the diagnosis 27" in Fig. 2 ). The for the creation of the curves 8; 9 recorded data 14 are each shown as image 25 and can be stored in parallel. When archiving the data 14 for the characteristic curves 8; 9, the control and diagnostic system 16 used in the continuous casting plant can be used.

For archiving the data 14 with respect to the characteristic curves 8; 9, an external data logging system can also be used.

The control and diagnostic system 16 is connected to the cylinder 13 for transmitting a valve control value 26 via a hydraulic valve 22a (two-way valve) and the pressure lines 24. The setpoint values 27 for the control and diagnostic system 16 can be generated as a continuous specification 28 or as a stepwise specification 29.
