Definitions
- the invention relates to an industrial furnace with a furnace space for receiving firing tables, which have several Besatzebenen for kiln.
- furnaces are both continuous and discontinuous furnaces, for example in the form of tunnel ovens (roller kilns), shuttle kilns or chamber furnaces, state of the art (Brunklaus "Industrieöfen” ISBN 3-8027-2906-4).
- CH-352 272 describes an oven equipped with impulse burners firing in a kiln of a kiln serving as kiln furniture and having additional burners arranged in vertical rows and injecting into spaces between stock stacks of successive kilns. This should reduce the peak times.
- US 4,480,992 A discloses a method for heating a furnace, wherein burners in different assignments can be activated.
- the aforementioned furnaces are used, for example, for firing ceramic products or for heat treating steel. Since ceramic products can have completely different properties (for example, ferrites on the one hand and porcelain on the other hand), the furnaces must meet very different requirements.
- a common criterion is the setting of a defined furnace atmosphere, for example to be able to burn certain glazes on a ceramic piece of glass at all.
- the invention relates to an industrial furnace according to claim 1.
- Some kiln burners operate in an area that is outside the firing level of the kiln.
- direct burners such as gas burners, oil / kerosene burners or so-called low-gas burners are used due to the high performance targeted, but their flame in a space below the lowest level of occupation to be led.
- this space communicates fluidically with the rest of the furnace space, so that the heat can then flow into the remaining furnace space through convection.
- the burners will usually be aligned horizontally and accordingly their direction of action is horizontal in the space below the lowest level of occupation.
- the burners can be arranged on opposite walls of the furnace chamber.
- burners can also be provided in the area of the other kiln walls.
- the burners can be placed offset in a horizontal plane or different horizontal planes.
- An offset of the burners in the area of opposite wall surfaces means that the hot combustion air can "flow through” immediately below the corresponding filling level and rise in the area of the opposite wall.
- auxiliary burners are provided above the lowest level of the firing tables but, as the name implies, merely have an "auxiliary function". By this is meant that the energy output of the auxiliary burners (within the furnace or furnace segment) is at most 30% of the total energy output of the burners, with a maximum auxiliary burner performance of 20% or 10%, even less.
- the auxiliary burners can be arranged at different distances from the bottom of the furnace chamber.
- auxiliary burner are arranged so that they fire in open spaces (lanes) between adjacent firing tables, so like the main burner, the firing material does not apply directly.
- the firing tables are arranged symmetrically next to each other and one behind the other, resulting directly through gaps between opposite walls (open spaces), in the area of the auxiliary burner can be arranged.
- the main burners may be taxable individually or in groups.
- a batch furnace such as a hearth kiln, in which prevail at a given time in the entire furnace chamber more or less constant temperature and atmospheric conditions (should), it is advisable to always drive the burner or auxiliary burner in synchrony over the Furnace space as constant as possible to obtain conditions.
- the main burners can be grouped into two control groups, for example such burners on one side and burners on the opposite side of the furnace.
- the control can be done via thermocouples.
- auxiliary burners are (analogously) grouped into control groups. Each auxiliary burner is assigned its own thermocouple. Any deviations from the setpoint temperature can be readjusted very precisely locally.
- the other features of the furnace such as the transport of the firing tables (kiln cars) into the kiln and out of the kiln, the insulation of the kiln or other features, may be well known in the art.
- the single FIGURE shows - in a schematic representation - provided for burning sanitary porcelain shuttle kiln in vertical longitudinal section.
- the formed with a rectangular base furnace comprises a bottom 10, a ceiling 12 and three, bottom 10 and ceiling 12 respectively connecting walls, of which two walls, namely the walls 14 and 16 are visible in the figure.
- an oven door 18 is arranged schematically, which can be guided from the illustrated open position into a closed position in order to complete the furnace chamber 20 on the circumference.
- exhaust passages 22 are provided which open into a common flue gas duct 24, from which flue gas is discharged via a chimney 26.
- kiln cars 30 are arranged one behind the other, the kiln cars are guided on rollers or balls.
- a firing table assembly 32 with (here) four landing levels 32.1, 32.2, 32.3 and 32.4, the spacing of the landing levels being determined by the height of the sanitary objects 34 to be fired.
- each lowermost coating level 32.1 which, like the other loading levels 32.2, 32.3 and 32.4, is formed by a refractory plate (a kiln furniture).
- the free space 36 is bounded on the underside by a chassis 30 c of the associated kiln car 30.
- recuperator gas burner 38, 40 In this free space 36 fire here a total of 16 recuperator gas burner 38, 40, wherein the burner 40 in the region of the wall 14 and the burner 38 in the (not shown) wall opposite the wall 14 are arranged.
- the burners 38 are combined in separate control group. The same applies to the burners 40.
- Temperature monitoring is carried out for each control group via a central temperature sensor.
- a burner pair 38, 40 is associated with a combustion trolley 30 and a free space 36, the burner 38 fires in the direction of the wall 14 and the burner 40 in the direction of the (not shown) opposite wall.
- the burners 38, 40 are each arranged at a distance from one another.
- the power of the burners 38, 40 is about 90% of the total burning power of the furnace.
- the remaining 10% energy is provided by so-called auxiliary torches 42 which are arranged on the wall side above the lowermost covering level 32.1 of the firing tables 32, and at different heights, as shown in the figure.
- auxiliary burners 42 do not fire directly on the kiln 34, but only in lanes 44 between adjacent kiln cars 30.
- the burner 42 are individually regulated / controlled.
- a defined temperature and atmospheric profile can be set in the furnace, and also time-dependent.
- recuperator gas burner instead of the mentioned recuperator gas burner other burner forms, such as tunnel burners, conventional gas burners or oil burners, impulse burners, high-speed burners or the like can find application.
