Definitions
- the present invention relates to a support arm or wrist rest for a user a work area, in particular a table or work table carrying or equipped a keyboard or associated with a computer mouse.
- All of these known devices do not include a cylinder opposing at least one pivoting of the element around the substantially horizontal axis when said element is in a substantially horizontal position.
- the invention provides a support able to present a pivoting part, so that it is not necessary to disconnect the support from the table when you are no longer using the table.
- An objective of this invention is to provide a retractable arm support (by 180 ° example) and removable with a clip system that can be very easily used.
- the invention therefore relates to a support arm and / or wrist rest for a user of a work area, in particular a work table carrying a keyboard and / or a computer mouse
- said support comprises means link to attach at least part of the support to the working area and an element adapted to serve as support for part of an arm or wrist of a user
- said support being characterized in that it comprises at least one means adapted to allow pivoting of said element around a substantially horizontal axis when said support is attached to the work area by said connecting means.
- the support is associated with at least one means opposing at least one pivoting of the element around the substantially horizontal axis when said element is in a substantially horizontal position.
- the support is associated with at least one elastic or return means, such as a spring and / or a jack, opposing at least one pivoting of the element around the substantially horizontal axis when said element is in a substantially horizontal position.
- the elastic or return means, the spring or the jack has a first end pivotally connected to the element, and a second end connected to pivoting to a means of connection to the working area.
- the support comprises at least one means adapted to allow a pivoting of said element by at least 90 °, advantageously by at least 120 °, by preferably about 180 °, around a substantially horizontal axis when said support is attached to the work area by said connecting means.
- the connecting means is adapted to ensure the removability of the support by relation to the working area, or more particularly at least of the element.
- connection means is a clip system, for example a mechanism with elastic blade.
- the means adapted to allow pivoting of said element around a substantially horizontal axis comprises at least one pivot or at least one shaft connecting the element to said fixing means.
- the support comprises a means for holding the element in its second position.
- the fixing means comprises a spring blade (5) curved in the shape of an "S" allowing it to be clipped or positioned on a work plate of different thicknesses without mechanical fixing by screw or nut.
- the fixing means is a clip clamping system, while said element (1) and the fixing means are provided with stiffness reinforcements.
- the fixing means is a clip clamping system and the support comprises a flexible mat, advantageously made of rubber, covering said clamping system and serving as support for the user's hand and / or support for the mouse.
- the support comprises a step-by-step control device pivoting of the element.
- the invention also relates to a work table associated with at least one support. according to the invention, and a work table comprising at least one member suitable for be connected to a support according to the invention, via its connecting means.
- Figure 1 shows a 180 ° retractable armrest removable with a clip system for various worktops of different thicknesses, this for users of a computer mouse and keyboard.
- the arm support can also be used for other professional uses and domestic than IT.
- the armrest of FIG. 1 includes a part for resting the hand and the arm (1) fixed with a hinge or shaft (4) on a fixed clip clamp (3) covered with a small soft rubber mat (2) serving as support for the hand and the mouse.
- the assembly is assisted by a jack (6) which allows the assembly of the invention to either open or close (Fig 2).
- a first end of the cylinder (for example the end of the rod) is pivotally mounted (axis 20) to the element (1), while the other end of the jack is pivotally mounted (axis 21) to reinforcement tabs (11,12) integral with the clamp (3).
- the armrest of Figure 1 is removable (it can easily be detached from table 22 by pulling) and retractable by 180 ° (element 1 can be folded down under the underside of table 22).
- the Y / Y axis of the shaft (4) is parallel to the axes (20,20) of pivoting of the ends of the jack (6).
- the whole of the invention can be placed or removed very easily on various trays of work.
- the whole of the invention can be carried out in different types of materials (non-exhaustive list).
- FIG. 1 The assembly of FIG. 1 is a new device which is an arm rest support retractable 180 ° removable with a clip system adaptable to various thicknesses office or work trays.
- the arm When using a mouse to control a cursor on a monitor or keyboard computer, the arm hangs in the air.
- the muscles of both the hand and the arms, as well as the nerves and joints linked are constantly put under tension. The muscles tire very quickly when using a mouse and / or keyboard computer.
- This new device ensures the user a position of well-being and allows him to work with maximum comfort and well-being.
- the whole of the invention can be produced in different types of materials (list not limiting).
- the removable 180 ° retractable armrest support with a clip-on system Figure 1 has a fixed clamp (3) provided with a spring blade (5) curved in the shape of "S" allowing to be fixed on a work plate of variable thickness, by example a thickness between 12 mm to 38 mm (non-limiting measurement in function of the clamp (3)).
- the armrest (1) is articulated at 180 ° thanks to a hinge (4) along the Y / Y axis.
- the armrest (1) and the fixed clamp (3) are provided with stiffness flanges or plates (9,10,11,12).
- the arm rest (1) / hinge (4) / clamp (3) assembly is advantageously machined in rigid plastic, but can be made of different materials (not limiting).
- a small soft rubber mat (2) serving as a support for the hand and the mouse is glued to the fixed clamp (3).
- Figures 2 to 8 are views of the armrest in the open position (position for support part of the arm) and in the closed position (folded position under the table).
- the removable 180 ° retractable armrest support with a clip system illustrated in Figure 1 schematically includes an armrest (1) connected to the fixed clamp (3) by a hinge or shaft (4).
- the assembly is provided with a jack (6) fixed to the clamp (3) by a shaft (8) (axis 21) and to the armrest (1) by the shaft (7) (axis 20) which helps the good support and operation of the arm rest support.
- the fixed clamp (3) is provided with a spring blade (5) allowing it to be clipped without a system mechanical on worktops of different thicknesses.
- a small flexible rubber mat is attached to the fixed clamp (3) for the hand as well as for the mouse.
- the removable 180 ° retractable armrest support with a clip-on system figure 1 works as follows: the person who wants to use the armrest clip everything on its work surface. After use, either remove it too easily that she clipped it, or she retracts it below her worktop (Fig 4,5,8 and 9) so as not to be disturbed by the armrest (1).
- the user can once again retract the armrest by working position (Fig 2,6 and 7) and use it.
- the cylinder (6) serves as a means for hold the element (1) in the folded position.
- the removable 180 ° retractable arm support with a clip system described in the above may be used as well by people who use their left hand only by people who use their right hand. It is very easy to place the invention where it is most useful.
- the cylinder (6) acts as a return means or elastic opposing a pivoting of the armrest (1) relative to its position work (horizontal position).
- the return or elastic means or jack is chosen to oppose any pivoting relative to the working position for a lower effort at a predetermined force, and to allow pivoting of the armrest (1) for a effort greater than a predetermined force.
- This ensures pivoting of the armrest (1) in the event of improper use thereof.
- weight of more than 10 kg advantageously more than 5 kg, in particular more than 3 kg
- the arm rest (1) pivots against the action of the jack (6).
- the jack (6) opposes any pivoting of the armrest (1) relative to its position of work.
- the armrest pivots slightly relative to its position work, so that when this effort is no longer exerted or reduced, the armrest (1) returns to its working position under the action of the jack (6).
- a magnet system (13,14) (i.e. two magnets opposite poles, i.e. a magnet and a part suitable for being attached to said magnet, etc.) is used to hold the armrest in the folded position (armrest position 1 under table 22).
- actuators (6 and 4), as well as the support (1,2 and 3) can allow stepwise advances, and can be achieved many other ways known in the art without departing from the scope of the invention.
