Description

Domaine technique de l'inventionTechnical field of the invention

The invention relates to an ice-cream crampon for mountaineering, comprising a connecting bar between anterior and posterior frames, the connecting bar having first and second parallel rows of holes staggered at regular intervals, and locking means, so as to adjust the length of the crampon.

État de la techniqueState of the art

Known ice spikes generally have a connecting bar to holes for length adjustment by means of a screw passing through one of the holes, and intended to be screwed using a screwdriver or a wrench into the posterior frame of the metal frame. It is also known to replace the screw by a locking tab. In these crampons known to only one row of holes, the precision of the adjustment defined by the distance between two holes adjacent is sometimes insufficient.

Document DE9312977 describes an ice spike for mountaineering for which the connecting bar arranged between the front and rear frames comprises two rows of holes staggered regularly. In a particular mode of embodiment, the document DE9312977U describes a means of obtaining an adjustment precise of the length of the crampon, blocking the adjustment bar with two pairs of adjacent pins respectively attached to the front frame and posterior. The link bar has two sets of pairs of holes, the spacing between two pairs of holes in the first series being greater than the spacing between two pairs of holes from the second series. Each of the two pairs of pins cooperates with a pair of holes in a series, so that make two different adjustments to the front and rear frames with respect to the link bar. This type of adjustment requiring several operations is, however, impractical to implement.

Objet de l'inventionSubject of the invention

The object of the invention is to obtain a more precise adjustment of the length of the crampon, simple and quick to make.

According to the invention, this object is achieved by the appended claims and more particularly, by the fact that the holes of the second row are offset longitudinally with respect to those of the first row, the means of blocking fitting into one of the holes in one of the two rows of the bar link.

  • Description de modes particuliers de réalisation.Description of particular embodiments.

As shown in Figure 1, a front frame 1 and a rear frame 2 of a metal frame 3 of an ice spike for mountaineering are connected by a longitudinal connecting bar 4. The connecting bar 4 comprises two rows of holes 5 staggered at regular intervals along the strip, the holes of the second row of holes being offset longitudinally by compared to those in the first row. The two rows of holes allow thus a more precise adjustment in length of the crampon, according to the size shoe.

A hole in the second row is preferably placed at an equal distance from two adjacent holes of the first row, this allows to adjust the length of the stud at half a size.

The rear frame 2 comprises a horizontal cross member 8, provided in its part center of a fixed guide bracket 10 into which the bar is inserted link 4. This can move longitudinally through the stirrup guidage10. The blocking of the fixing bar 4, defining the length of the crampon, is ensured by the insertion of a stud 6 in one of the holes 5. The stud is carried by a flexible tongue 7. One of the ends of the tongue 7 is rotatably mounted on an axis integral with the rear frame 2, the stud being able to thus fit indifferently into one of the holes of one of the two rows.

The horizontal crosspiece 8 is disposed between the tongue 7 and the bar of link 4, and includes a guide light 9, allowing the stud to pass through 6 when inserted into one of the holes 5. The guide light 9 has preferably an oblong shape and a length at least equal to the width total of the two rows of holes. The guide light can also be present in the form of two separate orifices, respectively arranged in look at one of the two rows of holes.

As shown in FIG. 2, the stud 6, guided by the tongue 7 and the guide light 9, can be inserted into a hole 5 in either two rows. The tongue 7 is shown in solid lines when the stud is inserted in the first row and dotted when inserted in the second. The rotation of the tongue 7 must be sufficient to allow the stud to reach the two rows of holes.

As shown in Figures 3 and 4, the tongue 7 can be lifted by its free end to extract the stud 6 from the hole 5 of the connection bar 4 and unlock the link bar. The free end of the tongue has preferably an enlarged and hollowed out portion 11, making it easy to lift the tongue 7. The tongue is made of a sufficiently flexible and elastic material to allow this lifting, while normally maintaining the position corresponding to the insertion of the stud in one of the holes.

The stud 6 preferably comprises a rod and a flattened head, intended to fix it with the tongue 7. The rod, of substantially cylindrical shape, is inserted by its free end in the hole 5 via the light 9. For a better insertion, the free end of the stud can be rounded.

It is clear that the stud 6 can be replaced by a screw or a bolt.

The locking means and the two rows of holes not only allow to obtain good adjustment precision but also a length adjustment easy and without tools.
