Description

A detachable gun is known from US-A-5,630,406.

It is known to use a clamping screw for immobilize the removable barrel of a rifle against the case of this rifle. The head of this screw is retracted into the case when the latter and the barrel are tight together. It is so shaped that we can not maneuver with a suitable tool. It means that the assembly and disassembly of the barrel require such a tool, which is a disadvantage because sometimes necessary to intervene on an outdoor rifle.

A solution to this drawback could be consist of using a screw with a radial arm rigidly associated with the head of this screw and that can be Maneuvered manually to screw or unscrew this last. This arm should then continually exceed the housing to be able to be operated. Because of this, he could cause injury to the user, especially of a shot, because of the retreat that occasion such a shot. Of more, he would be exposed and could therefore receive shocks likely to lead to unintentional loosening and this dangerous fact of the cannon. Therefore, this solution can not be retained.

The invention, which intends in particular to remedy the aforementioned drawback, therefore at least aims to provide a rifle whose barrel can be mounted and disassembled manually, that is to say without tools.
For this purpose, it relates to a rifle comprising a removable barrel, a housing on which is mounted this barrel, a clamping screw of the barrel against the housing, the screw having a head, passing through a through hole in the housing and being designed to be screwed into a tapped hole carried by the barrel, characterized in that it comprises elastic means placed to be compressed between the head of the screw and the housing when the screw clamps the barrel and housing one against the other, and in that an actuator, adapted to be taken in hand to operate the screw, equips the head of the screw, the operating member being movable relative to the screw, between a first position, wherein this actuator is retracted into a housing, and a second position, wherein the actuator can be manually operated to operate the screw.

  • l'organe de manoeuvre est un bras monté à basculement sur la vis ;
  • lorsque l'organe de manoeuvre se trouve dans la première position, cet organe de manoeuvre ne peut être déplacé que vers la deuxième position ;
  • dans le boítier sont ménagés le logement permettant d'escamoter l'organe de manoeuvre de la vis et un autre logement pour ladite tête et lesdits moyens élastiques, l'un et l'autre logements communiquant entre eux ;
    • un creux ménagé dans l'organe de manoeuvre,
    • un élément de retenue mobile entre une première position, dans laquelle cet élément de retenue est escamoté dans le boítier, et une deuxième position, dans laquelle l'élément de retenue est apte à s'engager dans le creux et à retenir l'organe de manoeuvre en position escamotée dans le boítier et
    • un organe élastique de rappel de l'élément mobile vers la deuxième position ;
  • les moyens élastiques comprennent plusieurs rondelles Belleville enfilées sur la tige de la vis ;
  • la tige de la vis comporte un épaulement tourné vers la tête de cette vis, un élément de retenue fixé dans le boítier faisant saillie dans ledit trou traversant de manière à être apte à retenir la vis par ledit épaulement ;
According to other advantageous characteristics of this rifle:
  • the operating member is an arm mounted to tilt on the screw;
  • when the operating member is in the first position, this operating member can be moved only to the second position;
  • in the housing are formed housing for retracting the actuator member of the screw and another housing for said head and said resilient means, one and the other housing communicating with each other;
  • the rifle comprises means for retaining the actuating member in the first position. Advantageously, the retaining means comprise:
    • a hollow formed in the actuator,
    • a movable retaining element between a first position, in which this retaining element is retracted into the housing, and a second position, in which the retaining element is able to engage in the recess and to retain the maneuver in retracted position in the housing and
    • an elastic member for returning the movable element to the second position;
  • the resilient means comprise a plurality of Belleville washers threaded on the shank of the screw;
  • the screw shank has a shoulder turned towards the head of this screw, a retaining element fixed in the housing projecting into said through hole so as to be able to retain the screw by said shoulder;
  • the housing is made of polymer or polymer matrix composite material.

  • la figure 1 est une vue latérale et partiellement éclatée d'une carabine conforme à l'invention ;
  • la figure 2 est une vue en coupe partielle et longitudinale d'une portion de la carabine de la figure 1, dont le canon est ôté ;
The invention will be better understood on reading the description which follows, given solely by way of example and with reference to the appended drawings, in which:
  • Figure 1 is a side view and partially exploded of a rifle according to the invention;
  • Figure 2 is a partial and longitudinal sectional view of a portion of the rifle of Figure 1, the barrel is removed;
  • Figure 3 is a view similar to that of Figure 2 and further represents a portion of the barrel which is mounted on the housing of the rifle; and
  • Figures 4 to 6 are three views from below of a portion of the rifle of Figures 1 to 3 and respectively represent three positions taken successively by a screw at the end of assembly of the barrel.

Sur la figure 1, une carabine conforme à l'invention comporte un boítier 1 réalisé en polymère ou en matériau composite à matrice polymère, un canon amovible 2 et un élément également amovible d'habillage 3.In FIG. 1, a rifle according to the invention comprises a housing 1 made of polymer or material polymer matrix composite, a removable barrel 2 and a also removable element of dressing 3.

A rear end portion 4 of the barrel 2 defines a clamping surface 5, intended to be clamped against a complementary surface of tightening 6, that carries the housing 1.

Parallelepiped blocks 7 for positioning the barrel 2 succeed each other along the surface 5 which they exceed.

As can be seen in Figure 3, a hole 8 is formed in one of the blocks 7, for screwing a screw 9 for tightening the barrel 2 on the housing 1.

On se réfère maintenant plus particulièrement aux figures 2 et 3.We now refer more particularly to Figures 2 and 3.

The housing 1 delimits three dwellings 10, whose respective forms are complementary to those of the blocks 7. It is pierced with a through hole and vertical 11, by which passes the screw 9 and which opens into a housing 10. Opposite this housing 10, the hole 11 opens into a housing 12 for the head 13 of the screw 9 and for several Belleville washers 14.

These Belleville washers 14, stacked on each others and threaded on the rod 15 of the screw 9, form resilient means to be compressed between the head 13 of this screw and the housing 1.

The rod 15 of the screw 9 has a shoulder 16 turned towards the head 13 of this screw 9. A pin of retainer 17 protrudes into the hole 11 transversely to the longitudinal direction of the latter so as to to be able to hold the screw 9 by its shoulder 16, as can see it in Figure 2.

Une encoche 19 est prévue dans le bras 18, à l'écart de la tête 13.The head 13 is provided with an operating arm 18, which is tilt-mounted and can be taken in hand to screw or manually unscrew the screw 9. A notch 19 is provided in the arm 18, away from the head 13.

A housing 20 for the operating arm 18 is provided in the housing 1. It is open laterally and communicates with the housing 12. Arm restraint means 18 in this housing 20 comprise the notch 19, a movable rod 22, a helical spring 23 for returning the this rod 22 towards the notch 19, and a 24 screw for closing a through hole 25. The screw 22 slides in a portion of this hole 25, this portion opening into the housing 20. This rod 22 has two shoulder 26 facing and ends, towards the housing 20, by a hemispherical head 27 which is adapted to enter the notch 19 in order to hold the arm of 18 in the retracted position, in the housing 20. The shoulders 26 are intended to abut against a retaining pin 28, so that the latter retains the rod 22 in the hole 25.

Dans un but de compacité, le ressort 23 est en partie logé dans la tige de la vis 24.At the opposite of the rod 22, the screw 24 is screwed into a tapped end portion of the hole 25. In this last, the spring 23 is compressed between the rod 22 and the 24. For the sake of compactness, the spring 23 is in part housed in the stem of the screw 24.

To mount the barrel 2 on the housing 1, we begin by fitting the blocks 7 into the housings 10. Then, manually screw the screw 9 using the arm 18, until Belleville washers 14 are completely flattened and can no longer be compressed. Screw 9 is located then in the position shown in Figure 4 and has a any angular orientation.

We then unscrew the screw 9 so that it reaches the position it occupies in Figure 5 and in which the operating arm 18 is aligned with a longitudinal axis A housing 1 and can be tilted directly into the 20. The angle  of which the screw 9 is turned when this operation is in any case less than 360 °.

Then, flip (arrow F 1 in Figure 3) the operating arm 18 towards the housing 1, in the housing 20, which is accompanied by a round trip of the rod 22: this rod 22 is pushed back by the arm 18, after which the hemispherical head 27 is placed in the notch 19, due to the bias exerted by the spring 23.

The assembly of the barrel 2 is then completed and the arm of maneuver 18 occupies the position illustrated in Figure 6 and in solid lines in Figure 3. This arm 18 is completely retracted inside the case 1. In addition, it is blocked laterally between the side walls of the housing 20, if although the screw 9 is immobilized angularly. The Belleville washers 14, compressed between the housing 1 and head 13, exert on the latter a force which has as effect the sufficient tightening of the surface 5 of the barrel 2 against the surface 6 of the housing 1, even if the angle  of partial unscrewing of the screw 9 at the end of the tightening is no no.

The dismantling of the barrel 2 is easily deduced from what above.
