  1. Device (1) for fastening a length of waterproof roof sheeting (5), with a holding element (13), having a central section (17) of considerably greater thickness, and a fastening element (21) which can penetrate the length of waterproof sheeting (5) located under the holding element (13) and fasten it and the holding element to the roof substructure (3, 11), the fastening element (21) being a fastening screw (23) which has on its lower end region (25) a threaded section (29) for interlocking engagement in the roof substructure (11) and on its upper end region (33) a threaded section (35) for interlocking engagement with the holding element (13), the holding element (13) having a central through orifice (19) for interlocking accommodation of the upper end region (33) of the fastening screw (23) and the fastening screw (23) having on its upper end region (33) an actuating device (37) which is actuatable by means of a suitable tool, the inner diameter of the through orifice (19) of the holding element (13) being smaller than the outer diameter of the upper threaded section (35) of the fastening screw (33) and the upper threaded section (35) having a self-cutting thread, characterised in that the holding element (13) is substantially flat at the bottom (15) and the length of the upper threaded section (35) is shorter than the length of the central through orifice (19).
  2. Device according to claim 1, characterised in that the actuating device (37) is constructed in the form of an outer hexagon (39) and an annular contact flange (41) is provided between the outer hexagon (39) and the upper threaded section (35) of the fastening screw (23).
  3. Device according to claim 1, characterised in that the actuating device (37) is constructed in the form of a countersunk screw head (57), which can be screwed into a complementary section (55) in the holding element (13).
  4. Device according to claim 3, characterised in that the countersunk screw head (57) has a slit (61) or an inner recess (59), so that the countersunk screw head can be screwed in and unscrewed by an appropriate tool.
  5. Device according to claim 1, characterised in that the actuating device (37) is constructed in the form of a head which has a substantially flat surface and a ring provided with notches between the screw shank (31) and the flat surface.
  6. Device according to one of claims 1 to 5, characterised in that the top (14) of the central section (17) of the holding element (13) is flattened.
  7. Device according to one of claims 1 to 4, characterised in that the through orifice (19) of the holding element (13) is widened from the top (14) to accommodate the actuating device (37) of the fastening screw (23).
  8. Device according to claim 7, characterised in that the widened area (47) is filled with liquid film or adhesive or jointing compound (49) after the fastening screw (23) has been inserted.
  9. Device according to claim 7, characterised in that the fastening screw has a sealing cap which is clamped or screwed into the widened area (47).
  10. Method for fastening a length of waterproof roof sheeting (5) on a roof substructure (3), with the following steps:
    - applying a dot, ring or partial ring of liquid film or adhesive (45) to the length of waterproof roof sheeting (5) round the predetermined fixing point,
    - placing on a holding element (13), which is substantially flat at the bottom (15) and has a central section (17) of considerably greater thickness, in which there is a through orifice (19),
    - inserting a fastening screw (23) into the through orifice (19) and screwing in the fastening screw (23) in such a way that first a lower end region (25) of the fastening screw (23), having a threaded section (29), penetrates through the length of waterproof roof sheeting (5) into the roof substructure (3), in order to be screwed into the roof element (11) provided, and then an upper end region (33), having a self-cutting threaded section (35), is screwed into the through orifice (19) of the holding element (13), until a sufficiently great contact pressure of the holding element (13) against the roof substructure (3) has ensued, owing to application of the head section (37, 39, 57) of the fastening screw (23), the outer diameter of which is larger than the inner diameter of the through orifice (19) of the holding element (13).
  11. Method according to claim 10, characterised in that the holding element (13) is also rotated by the engagement of the upper end region (33) of the fastening screw (23) and by touching the liquid film or the adhesive (45) distributes this at least annularly substantially evenly.
  12. Method according to claim 10 or 11, characterised in that, in particular in the case of roof insulation (7) made of polystyrene, a rubber or silicon washer is inserted between the holding element (13) and the length of waterproof roof sheeting (5).
