bottom wear 2 are used as a two-piece wear without any connection, for example, a waist adjustment mechanism W has a normal specification. - Namely, a
strip 3 is inserted into astrip retainer 4 and drawn and fastened to thereby adjust the looseness of anextendable portion 7 in the waist position of thebottom wear 2 to thereby make it possible to adjust the fastening degree of the waist. - For instance, the
strip 3 is inserted into thestrip retainer 4 provided in the waist position through a strip (mounting piece) and is drawn and fastened like a normal fastening retainer of a waist belt and retained by means of a retainer mechanism or an engagement mechanism. The degree of fastening is increased to thereby make it possible to enhance the fit feeling of the waist. - Also, for instance, the
strip 3 may be inserted into thestrip retainer 4 and folded back, drawn and fastened and overlapped and retained at a predetermined fastening degree by means of a retainer means 6 such as a surface fastener provided on thestrip 3 to thereby make it possible to readily adjust the waist fitness. - On the other hand, in the case where the
bottom wear 2 is to be coupled with thetop wear 1, the waist adjustment mechanism W is used for coupling (using the waist adjustment mechanism without any change), the wear may be used as a one-piece wear. - Namely, the
strip 3 of the waist adjustment mechanism W of thebottom wear 2 is passed through acoupling hole 5 provided in thetop wear 1 and arranged on a top surface side of thetop wear 1. Thestrip 3 inserted to the top side of thetop wear 1 is inserted into astrip retainer 4 provided discretely from thestrip retainer 4 of the above-described waist adjustment mechanism W or in thestrip retainer 4 of the waist adjustment mechanism W of thebottom wear 2 provided on the top surface side of thetop wear 1 through acoupling hole 5 and is drawn and fastened in the waist position of thetop wear 1 in the same manner so that the bottom wear 2 and thetop wear 1 are coupled together by using the waist adjustment mechanism W. - Accordingly, the waist adjustment mechanism W is provided in the
bottom wear 2 so that the waist adjustment of the bottom wear may be performed, and the waist adjustment may be performed in the normal manner in the case where thebottom wear 2 is not coupled with thetop wear 1. Also, in case of one-piece wear, in the same manner in this waist adjustment, thebottom wear 2 and thetop wear 1 may be coupled together by using the waist adjustment mechanism W without any special coupling structure, without any increase of costs in the case where the waist adjustment mechanism W is to be provided originally and without deteriorating the aesthetic design. - In addition, in the case where the top and bottom wears are to be coupled together, as described above, the
strip 3 of the above-described waist adjustment mechanism W or thestrip retainer 4 is simply inserted into thepredetermined hole 5 of thetop wear 1 to effect the insertion and retention in the same manner as in the waist adjustment of thebottom wear 2 to thereby make it possible to perform the coupling. Accordingly, this mechanism is a mechanism for performing also the waist adjustment of thebottom wear 2 through thetop wear 1 to thereby detachably couple thetop wear 1 and thebottom wear 2 with a simple operation. - Namely, in the case where the
bottom wear 2 is coupled with thetop wear 1 by using the waist adjustment mechanism W, the mechanism is located in the waist position of thetop wear 1 as the waist adjustment mechanism W. Accordingly, as described above, the waist adjustment mechanism W serves also as the waist adjustment function and the coupling function. In other words, if thestrip 3 is inserted into thestrip retainer 4, drawn and fastened for adjustment, thetop wear 1 and thebottom wear 2 may be firmly coupled together and the looseness of theextendible portion 7 is fastened to thereby make it possible to perform the waist mechanism. Also, since the coupling functioning mechanism is located in the waist position of thetop wear 1 as the waist adjustment mechanism W, there is no fear of deterioration of the aesthetic design, which is considerably superior in practical application. - Also, the
coupling hole 5 is simply formed in thetop wear 1 so that the present invention will work. With the setup of the position of thecoupling hole 5, in the case where the top wear 1 and thebottom wear 2 are coupled together or are not coupled with each other, there is no difference in outer appearance. - Also, it is possible to accept the slight displacement of the position of the
coupling hole 5 and it is not necessary to provide any other special coupling means in thetop wear 1. Also, since the waist adjustment mechanism W may be provided normally in thebottom wear 2 without any change, it is possible to couple and combine the wears that are different in size or pattern between the top and bottom wears. For instance, even if thebottom wear 2 has an M size and the top wear has an L size, it is possible to couple the top and bottom wears. Also, even if the top and bottom wears are not coordinated with a one-to-one relation, it is possible to perform the coupling function. - As described above, according to the present invention, there is provided a system in which the waist adjustment function and the coupling function are performed by the same mechanism. The waist adjuster may have the function as the jacket coupling. The waist adjuster may be used as the coupling device without any change. This function no longer has a function to obstruct. This no longer causes the cost increase. The top and bottom wears may be coupled together firmly while effectuating the shearing effect of the waist. There is no fear that the coupling is released even upon active sports. Thus, there is provided a novel set of cloth wearable in one piece and two pieces, which is considerably superior in practical application such that suspenders may be used without any change.
- Also, it is possible to take the following reverse arrangement to the above-described arrangement. According to the present invention, there is provided a set of cloth wearable in one piece or two pieces in which a top wear such as a jacket or a vest and a bottom wear such as pants or a skirt are coupled detachably with each other at a waist portion, characterized in that a waist adjustment strip is provided at the waist position of the top wear, a strip retainer passing through the strip is provided, a waist adjustment mechanism passing the strip through the strip retainer for fastening and retaining the strip and for adjusting looseness of the waist position is provided in the top wear, the strip of the waist adjustment mechanism is inserted between a top side and a bottom surface side into a coupling hole provided in the waist position of the bottom wear and arranged on the top surface side of the waist position of the bottom wear, the strip retainer provided on the bottom wear or the strip retainer provided on the top wear is passed between the back side and the top surface side in the coupling hole provided in the waist position of the bottom wear and the strip is inserted into and retained at the strip retainer arranged on the top surface side of the waist position of the bottom wear and the top wear and the bottom wear are coupled detachably with each other by using the waist adjustment mechanism of the bottom wear at the waist portion.
- A specific embodiment of the present invention will now be described with reference to the accompanying drawings.
- In this embodiment, a
waist adjustment strip 3 is provided in a circumferential direction of the waist at the waist position of abottom wear 2 that may be extended by shearing. At the same time, astrip retainer 4 passing through thestrip 3 is provided through a strip (retainer piece) provided at the waist position. A waist adjustment mechanism W is provided on thebottom wear 2 for passing the above-describedstrip 3 through the above-describedstrip retainer 4 for fastening and retaining it and for fastening and adjusting the looseness of the waist position. - More specifically, the above-described
