Definitions
- the invention relates to an electrical device, in particular for control a drive of a work machine according to the preamble of the claim 1 and a method for transmitting data between a electrical device and an external reader.
- Control devices for control of drives of work machines, e.g. Pumps
- Display elements for displaying an operating state. These display elements are usually lamps or light-emitting diodes, their lighting up or an operator goes out of a corresponding operating state of the associated device.
- Tax or Control devices are provided for data transmission. So is for example, an infrared interface is provided for circulation pumps, via which operating data of the pump can be read out and Settings of the control electronics are made to adapt the pump to certain system conditions.
- both indicator lights or diodes as well as an infrared diode or infrared interface intended for data transmission.
- housing openings can be provided into which the lamps or diodes or Light guides are used to observe the indicator lights as well enable data to be read from outside.
- openings are problematic in the housing or in the housing of the terminal box, as these need to be sealed to prevent moisture ingress to prevent. This requires many individual parts and additional assembly steps.
- the electrical device according to the invention is used in particular for control a drive of work machines such as pumps.
- the electrical device has a light source for emitting visible Light to indicate an operating status.
- the light source by lighting up indicate that the electrical device is in operation is. If the light source does not emit light, this indicates that the electrical device is out of operation. Furthermore, by lighting up the light source, for example, a fault can also be displayed.
- the light emitted by the light source is in addition to Transfer of machine-readable data to an appropriate reader used.
- the reader can be any suitable one Act device to which data is transmitted from the electrical device should be.
- the reader can use a remote control, be a maintenance device or a control device.
- Infrared interfaces that is, infrared diodes used, which the Send data in the invisible spectrum so that it is from readers can be received.
- the data transmission takes place now accordingly by visible light.
- the reader is like this adapted that it can capture the data in the visible light spectrum.
- an additional element such as an infrared interface can be used
- Data transmission can be saved because the data transmission through a anyway existing light source for displaying an operating state.
- the light source thus performs two functions, on the one hand to display an operating state visible to a user and secondly, to transmit machine-readable data to a reader, which are preferably not recognizable to the user.
- the emitted light is preferably pulsed for data transmission.
- there data can be encoded in digital form as corresponding light pulses, which can be detected by a reader.
- the light pulsed so quickly that the pulses from the human eye not be noticed.
- An operator therefore only takes one constantly shining light source true which you a certain operating condition the electrical device indicates, for example, that the electrical Facility is in proper operation.
- a correspondingly set up reader is, however, capable of providing fast light pulses for human perception is too sluggish to grasp and open read data transmitted in this way.
- the pulses can thereby be generated that the light source is switched on and off in quick succession.
- Modulation also makes it possible to machine-read using a light signal Transfer information.
- the light source preferably shines constantly, which is what the information is achieved through modulations, pulses or fluctuations in intensity are transferred, which due to their insignificance or speed imperceptible to the human eye are.
- the light source is preferably a light emitting diode. LEDs are Often used as display elements because of their low energy consumption and have great durability. One for display anyway an operating state on the electrical device LED can now be used simultaneously for data transmission so that additional data transmission devices are dispensed with can.
- the electrical device is preferably part of a pump unit.
- the electrical device preferably forms the control or regulating device the pump and is e.g. in a terminal box directly on the Pump or its drive arranged.
- an indicator light provided in the form of a light emitting diode, which indicates whether the Pump is in operation.
- This indicator light can now be used simultaneously certain operating data of the pump, which are used go beyond the mere display of a certain operating state to transmit outside without additional data transmission elements, how infrared diodes must be provided on the pump. To this In this way, the number of components required can be reduced, which makes the pump less expensive to manufacture. Furthermore, the number of openings in the pump housing, in which display and controls can be used, reducing the seal of the pump housing can be improved.
- the invention further relates to a method for transmitting data between an electrical device and an associated reading device.
- the data are made visible Light emitted by one of the electrical devices for displaying a Operating state existing indicator light is emitted on the reader transfer.
- one and the same element thus serves both for the visual display of an operating state for an operating person as well as for the output of machine-readable data, which only be detected by a special reader and preferably by one Operator can not be noticed. Even if the operator data transmission, for example in the form of a slight flickering the indicator light can recognize, but it will not be able to be to grasp the meaning of the information.
- a special Reader which is the data transmitted by the visible light receives and converts the information accordingly, for example in transfers to a computer, in which the information is then evaluated can be. Larger data records can also be transmitted in this way, that go beyond the mere visual display of an operating state.
- a photosensor for receiving the data is preferably on the reader intended.
- Such a photosensor can pulse, fluctuations in intensity or detect modulations of visible light, which are from human Eye due to its inertia are not detectable.
- the one from the photosensor Output signals are then sent to a corresponding evaluation unit for example passed on in the form of a microcomputer, which then processes the received data accordingly and edited.
- the data are preferably transmitted in digital form.
- the transfer and processing of digital data is common today. So can digital data from one provided in the electrical device CPU or a microcomputer are output to the light source, which sends them to the outside, where they are read by appropriate readers and electronic devices are recorded and evaluated can.
- the digital data transmission is preferably carried out by pulsing the visible Light for data transmission.
- the light source is used for pulsing Fast turn on and off to get data in digital coding transfer. If the pulses are sufficiently short or fast, they can cannot be detected by the human eye due to its sluggishness, so that the light source acts on an operator as if it were constant shines. However, the light can also be pulsed such that the Luminous intensity is varied. In this way, data or information in transmitted in digital or analog form in the form of intensity fluctuations become.
- the data to be transmitted are preferred by the indicator light continuously and preferably cyclically repeated.
- the means that the data are continuously transferred serially without a Request signal to start data transfer is required.
- To the Reading the data is simply the associated reader in view or Transmission range brought to the indicator light.
- the reader is preferred set up to recognize it from the transferred data can, when a data cycle begins, and then with the acquisition and evaluation the data can start.
- an initial signal can be in the data be included, which marks the beginning of a data record or cycle.
- the electrical device Output module or an output device on which the control or control electronics of the electrical device is controlled has the electrical device Output module or an output device on which the control or control electronics of the electrical device is controlled.
- the output device activates the light source in order to provide an operator with a display certain operating status. For example, the light source switched on to indicate that the electrical device with connected to a power source, that is turned on. Should now additionally certain data, such as operating data of the electrical device transferred to the outside for evaluation, overlays the Output device for the visible light emitted by the light source the corresponding data or information in coded form. For example the light source is pulsed by the output unit or the light intensity is varied accordingly. This pulsing or this modulation takes place according to the data or information to be transmitted.
- Switching on and off is preferably done so quickly that it is imperceptible to the human eye is. Due to brightness or intensity fluctuations, which of the output unit are generated when the light source is activated, it is also possible to transmit analog signals.
- the data or information from the light source is continuous or sent constantly, regardless of whether they are currently being read by a reader to be received or not. It is then to receive the data only necessary, the corresponding reader within sight of the light source bring so that it is the data emitted by the light source can receive. Since the data is preferably continuous or serial and are sent cyclically, it is possible to read out the data, without having to signal the electrical device from the outside, that a data transfer process should be started. You can do this the data are output from an output device such that each at the beginning of a data set, an initial signal via the light source which sends the reader the start of a data record or cycle signals. Then the data to be transferred are in Form of control signals output to and from the light source Radiated form of light signals. When the full record is sent or is emitted, an end signal can also be output. The process is then repeated and the data record is in retransmitted as described. That way, with one suitable reader can be read at any time without the electrical device to transmit a data request.
- the electrical device To provide switches or a similar input device through which Actuation a data transfer is started. For data transmission could then be pressed, for example, a button on the electrical device whereupon an output device begins data on the Send light source, which is then by an appropriate reader can be received.
- a receiving element in the electrical device to provide data and information from outside in the to transmit electrical equipment. This can also, as described, done by visible light.
- a conventional one To provide infrared receivers in the electrical device.
- an additional transmission device would still be saved, since sending the data from the electrical device through the light source or the display element for displaying an operating state is taken over.
- a receiving device not required on the electrical equipment. That's the way it is for example with circulating pumps sufficient, current temperature and / or read out performance data from the pump, for example operating states for a heating system.
- a storage element is provided in the electrical device, which operating data, for example power and temperature, or occurring Fault, stores over a period of time. This information can then later in the manner described from the electrical device can be read, for example, to ensure proper operation check the electrical equipment.
