Claims (22)

  1. An electrical power socket (100) comprising a face plate member (110) provided with a front wall (112) having two holes (113A, 113B) intended to receive two contact pins of a plug, a body disposed to the rear of the face plate member and comprising an insulating casing accommodating electrical contact elements of female type disposed in opposite relationship to the two holes in the front wall, and a shutter (130) positioned above said contact elements and displaceable between different positions, said shutter (130) comprising on a face (130A) inclined surfaces (131B, 132B) capable of being positioned in opposite relationship to said holes (113A, 113B) in a second position of the shutter (130), and co-operation means (134, 134A) capable of co-operating with an actuating pin (117) inserted into said insulating casing to displace said shutter (130) from a first position to its second position, characterised in that said actuating pin (117) forms an integral portion with the face plate member (110) and projects from the rear face (116) of said front wall (112) of the face plate member (110).
  2. A socket (100) according to claim 1 characterised in that the shutter (130) on said face (130A) comprises flat surfaces (131A, 132A) capable of being positioned in opposite relationship to said holes (113A, 113B) of the face plate member (110) in said first position of the shutter (130).
  3. A socket (100) according to one of claims 1 and 2 characterised in that the shutter (130) is rotationally displaceable.
  4. A socket according to one of claims 1 and 2 characterised in that the shutter is displaceable with a combined translatory/rotational movement.
  5. A socket (100) according to one of claims 3 and 4 characterised in that in its central portion the shutter (130) comprises a bearing (133) engaged on a spindle (125) fixed with respect to a fixed support portion (120) for rotational displacement thereof.
  6. A socket (100) according to claims 1 and 2 characterised in that the shutter is displaceable with a translatory movement.
  7. A socket (100) according to one of claims 1 to 6 characterised in that the shutter (130) comprises two blocking arms (131, 132) extending in mutual alignment from respective sides of a central portion, each blocking arm (131, 132) comprising one of said inclined surfaces (131B, 132B).
  8. A socket (100) according to claim 7 characterised in that said inclined surfaces (131B, 132B) carried by said blocking arms (131, 132) are oriented in mutually opposite directions.
  9. A socket according to claim 7 characterised in that said inclined surfaces carried by said blocking arms are oriented in the same direction.
  10. A socket (100) according to one of claims 7 to 9 characterised in that each blocking arm (131, 132) of the shutter (130) comprises a flat surface (131A, 132A) adjacent to said corresponding inclined surface (131B, 132B) and capable of being positioned in opposite relationship to one of said holes of the face plate member (110) in the first position of said shutter (130).
  11. A socket (100) according to one of the preceding claims characterised in that said co-operation means of the shutter (130) comprise an actuating arm (134) extending in a radial direction from a central portion of the shutter (130).
  12. A socket according to claim 11 characterised in that said actuating arm comprises pivoting means for being able to pivot under the action of said actuating pin between two positions, namely a locking position in which said actuating arm is in a condition of abutment against an edge of a fixed support portion interposed between the front wall of the face plate member and said shutter, and an unlocking position in which said actuating arm is disengaged from said edge of said fixed support portion.
  13. A socket according to claim 12 characterised in that said pivoting means comprise a pivot hinge connecting said actuating arm to said central portion of the shutter.
  14. A socket according to claim 13 characterised in that said pivot hinge is a flexible connection which is produced by shaping with said shutter.
  15. A socket according to claim 12 characterised in that said pivoting means comprise a pivot disposed on a face of said actuating arm, which is directed in opposite relationship to the face plate member.
  16. A socket (100) according to one of claims 11 to 15 characterised in that, on a face facing towards the face plate member (110), said actuating arm (134) comprises a cam surface (134A) co-operable with said actuating pin (117).
  17. A socket according to one of claims 11 to 15 characterised in that, on a face facing towards the face plate member, said actuating arm comprises an inclined surface portion co-operable with said actuating pin.
  18. A socket according to one of claims 11 to 15 characterised in that at its free end said actuating pin has a ramp which co-operates with said actuating arm of the shutter to move the shutter back into its second position from a third position in which it is positioned outside of said holes of the face plate member.
  19. A socket (100) according to one of the preceding claims characterised in that the shutter (130) is a portion in one piece.
  20. A socket according to one of claims 1 to 18 characterised in that the shutter is made in two portions which engage one into the other, a first portion carrying flat surfaces capable of being positioned in opposite relationship to said holes in the front wall of the face plate member in the first position of the shutter and a second portion carrying said inclined surfaces which, in said first position of the shutter, are masked by said first portion, said first portion being displaceable between said first position and said second position of the shutter to disengage said inclined surfaces of the shutter so that they are positioned in opposite relationship to said holes of the face plate member.
  21. A socket (100) according to one of the preceding claims characterised in that there is provided an elastic means for returning the shutter to its first or second position.
  22. A range of electrical power sockets comprising a first socket according to one of claims 1 to 21 and a second socket comprising a body identical to that of the first socket and a face plate member provided with a front wall having two holes for receiving two contact pins of a plug and an additional hole for the introduction into the interior of the insulating casing of an actuating pin of an adaptor fitted onto the plug to be inserted into said second socket, said co-operation means of said shutter being disposed in opposite relationship to said additional hole to co-operate with said actuating pin introduced into the interior of the insulating casing in order to move said shutter from its first position to its second position.
