Definitions
- This invention relates to a household textile environmental protection bag, and more particularly to a bag which includes a cover that is mounted removably on a side surface of a closable bag body and which can be applied to beds, quilts, pillows, sofas, sleeping bags, etc, as known from the document US 5 946 751.
- a closable bag body that is filled with a soft material, a warmth keeping material (such as cotton, feather, down and chemical fiber) or a resilient supporting member (such as a sponge material and a plurality of coiled compression springs).
- a warmth keeping material such as cotton, feather, down and chemical fiber
- a resilient supporting member such as a sponge material and a plurality of coiled compression springs.
- a pillow is normally enclosed with a pillowcase in order to solve this problem.
- a quilt is normally enclosed with a quilt cover.
- no positioning means are provided between the bag body and the pillowcase or the quilt cover, it is time-consuming to mount the bag body accurately within the pillowcase or the quilt cover.
- An object of this invention is to provide a household textile environmental protection bag with textile articles that are mounted easily and removably on a textile bag body and that can be easily removed from the same for washing purposes.
- a household textile environmental protection bag includes a textile bag body with two surfaces, a fixed fastening piece fixed on one of the surfaces, and an article unit with a fastening piece that is connected removably to one of the fixed fastening piece and the movable fastening piece.
- the movable fastening piece can be connected removably to the fixed fastening piece, thereby preventing the fixed fastening piece and the movable fastening piece from contact with a human body.
- the fastening pieces may be hook fasteners, loop fasteners, or zipper halves.
- the article unit may be a cover, a skirt unit of a bedspread, a dust ruffle, and a furniture shell, such as a back of a sofa and a headboard of a bed.
- a first preferred embodiment of a household textile environmental protection bag is applied to a duvet, and is shown to include a rectangular textile bag body 10, a sheet of first primary textile cover (C1) (see Fig. 4), and a sheet of second primary textile cover (C2).
- the bag body 10 has a first side surface 11 and a second side surface 12, and is filled with feathers and down 13.
- a fixed fastening piece (F1) is fixed on the outer periphery of the first side surface 11 of the bag body 10.
- the first primary textile cover (C1) is provided with an elongated annular fastening piece (F2) that is connected removably to the fixed fastening piece (F1) of the bag body 10, thereby fixing the first primary textile cover (C1) (see Fig. 4) to the first side surface 11 of the bag body 10.
- An elongated annular textile strip unit 14 has an outer periphery that is fastened to the outer periphery of the first side surface 11 of the bag body 10, and an inner periphery that is provided with an elongated annular movable fastening piece (F3). As best shown in Figs.
- the inner periphery of the strip unit 14 can be turned to abut against the outer periphery of the second side surface 12 of the bag body 10 so as to engage the movable fastening piece (F3) with an elongated annular fastening piece (F4), which is fastened to the outer periphery of the second primary textile cover (C2), thereby fixing the second primary textile cover (C2) to the second side surface 12 of the bag body 10.
- the movable fastening piece (F3) can be turned back to the first side surface 11 of the bag body 10 so as to engage the fixed fastening piece (F1), as shown in Fig.
- the first and second primary textile covers (C1, C2) can prevent the bag body 10 from direct contact with a human body.
- the first and second primary textile covers (C1, C2) are stained, they can be removed easily from the bag body 10 for washing purposes.

- the inter-engaging portions of the fixed fastening pieces (F1) of each adjacent pair of the bag bodies 10 are configured respectively as a hook fastener and a loop fastener. Because each of the bag bodies 10 has a relatively compact volume, it can be washed easily in a washing machine. By adjusting the number of interconnected bag bodies 10, a modular quilt can have appropriate width and length to cover one, two or three people. A plurality of the strip sections of the annular strip unit 14 can be turned to permit connection between the separate members of the movable fastening pieces (F3) and inter-engaged portions of the fixed fastening pieces (F1) for tidiness purposes.
- Fig. 17 shows an eighth preferred embodiment of this invention, which is applied to a mattress and three dust ruffle members and which includes a closable bag body 10, a first primary textile cover (C1) that is superposed on the bag body 10, three second primary textile covers (C2) that are constructed as dust ruffle members, and a secondary textile cover (C3).

- the fastening pieces (F1, F2) cooperatively constitute a zipper unit.
- An elongated annular textile strip unit 14 is provided on the bag body 10 under the fixed fastening piece (F1), and is provided with an elongated annular movable fastening piece (F3).
- Each of the second primary textile covers (C2) has an upper end, which is provided with an elongated fastening piece (F4) that is connected removably to the movable fastening piece (F3), thereby fixing the second primary textile covers (C2) to the bag body 10.
- the fastening pieces (F3, F4) also constitute a zipper unit.
- a lace member 15 is disposed on the bag body 10 in the manner illustrated in Fig. 14.
- Fig. 18 shows a ninth preferred embodiment of this invention, which is applied to a sofa and which includes a closable bag body 10, a secondary textile cover (C3), and a furniture shell, such as a back 31 of a sofa 30 that is formed with a recess 32.
- the recess 32 is defined by a surrounding wall or first primary textile cover (C1) and a bottom wall or second primary textile cover (C2).
- the bag body 10 is filled with a soft material so as to serve as a back cushion, and has a first side surface 11, a second side surface 12 and an annular surface 17 that is located between the first and second side surfaces 11, 12.
- An fixed fastening piece (F1) is fixed on the annular surface 17 of the bag body 10 so as to engage an elongated annular fastening piece (F2) that is fastened to the surrounding wall (C1) of the back 31.
- a movable fastening piece (F3) is fastened to an annular textile strip unit 14, which is fastened to the annular surface 17 of the bag body 10 and which is turned to abut against the second side surface 12 of the bag body 10 so that the movable fastening piece (F3) is connected removably to a fastening piece (F4) that is fastened to the bottom wall (C2) of the back 31, thereby fixing the bag body 10 within the recess 32 in the back 31 of the sofa 30.
- the fastening pieces (F1, F2, F3, F4) are constructed as hook-and-loop fasteners.
- a lace member 15 is also disposed on the bag body 10 in the manner illustrated in Fig. 14. Because the bottom wall (C2) is generally perpendicular to the surrounding wall (C1), the bag body 10 can be prevented from undesired removal from the back 31. When the bag body 10 is removed from the sofa 30, the strip unit 14 can be turned to permit connection between the movable fastening piece (F3) and the fixed fastening piece (F1).
- Fig. 19 shows a tenth preferred embodiment of this invention, which is applied to a headboard cushion and which includes a closable bag body 10, a secondary textile cover (C3) and a furniture shell, such as a headboard 41 of a bed 40 that has a recess 42.
- This embodiment is similar to the embodiment of Fig. 18 in construction.
