Description

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Zustandsanzeige für eine Steckverbindung nach dem Oberbegriff des Anspruchs 1.
Bei Maschinensteuerungen werden über Steckanschlüsse Sensoren, Aktoren oder andere Elemente an einen zentralen Bus angeschlossen. Insbesondere bei Steckanschlüssen mit fünf Pins können einzelne Leitungen daran angeschlossener Sensoren oder Aktoren für Diagnosezwecke genutzt werden, so z. B. um die Leitungsverbindung zu überprüfen, die Funktionsfähigkeit des angeschlossenen aktiven oder passiven Elementes festzustellen oder dgl.. Ein derartiges Diagnoseergebnis wird als Zustandsanzeige optisch erkennbar gemacht, wobei das Anzeigefeld der Zustandsanzeige benachbart zum Steckelement angeordnet ist. Bei einer Fehlfunktion kann der Benutzer durch die leuchtende Anzeige am zugeordneten Steckanschluß optisch die Fehlerquelle erkennen und das angeschlossene aktive oder passive Element austauschen.
Aus der US-A-4,000,405 ist bekannt, ein Anzeigefeld einer Zustandsanzeige von einem schaltbaren Lichtelement zu speisen, wobei die Lichtaustrittsfläche der Steckrichtung abgewandt liegt. Blickt der Benutzer zentral auf das Steckelement, wird er die Zustandsanzeige erkennen können. Ist aufgrund der Einbaulage der Steckanschlüsse eine zentrale Betrachtung nicht möglich ist die Zustandsanzeige nur schwer zu erkennen.
Der Erfindung liegt die Aufgabe zugrunde, eine Zustandsanzeige der gattungsgemäßen Art derart weiterzubilden, daß auch aus dezentralen, seitlichen Blickrichtungen eine sichere Erkennung der Zustandsanzeige gewährleistet ist.
Die Aufgabe wird nach dem Anspruch 1 gelöst.
Die flächenmäßig ausgedehnte Lichtaustrittsfläche ist Teil eines Lichtleitringes und liegt in einem Winkel von mehr als 90° zur Steckrichtung geneigt, wobei die geneigte Lichtaustrittsfläche dem Steckelement abgewandt ist. Der Lichtleitring ist aus einem lichtleitenden, transparenten Material gefertigt und umrahmt das Steckelement, so daß eine eindeutige Zuordnung der Anzeige zum Steckanschluß gegeben ist. Dabei hat die Lichtaustrittsfläche in Steckrichtung gesehen eine trapezförmig gewölbte Gestalt, so daß das Anzeigefeld aus einem breiten Blickspektrum heraus zweifelsfrei erkennbar ist. Es ist auch ein seitlicher Lichtaustritt entsprechend der Neigung der Lichtaustrittsfläche gegeben, so daß nicht nur aus der Steckrichtung eine zweifelsfreie Erkennung der Zustandsanzeige möglich ist, sondern auch aus anderen, geneigt zur Steckrichtung liegenden Betrachtungswinkeln. Dabei hat sich die Ausbildung der Lichtaustrittsfläche als Flächensegment eines Kreiskörpers, insbesondere einer Kugeloberfläche als zweckmäßig erwiesen. Bei einer Erstreckung der Lichtaustrittsfläche über einen Umfangswinkel von etwa 30° bis 45°, insbesondere etwa 35°, wird dem Benutzer ein großes, leicht zu erkennendes Feld angeboten. Dabei kann die Lichtaustrittsfläche Teil eines aus einer Kugelzone gebildeten Kreisringes sein, so daß sich die Erstreckung der Lichtaustrittsfläche nicht nur radial zur Steckrichtung, sondern auch über einen Teilumfang zum Steckelement ergibt.
Die Lichtaustrittsfläche ist vorteilhaft grob strukturiert oder mattiert, um eine diffuse Lichtabstrahlung zu erzielen.
Zur deutlichen Begrenzung der Anzeigefelder sind die Lichtaustrittsflächen an ihren radialen Rändern durch konstruktive Trennfugen begrenzt.
Außerhalb der Lichtaustrittsflächen ist der Lichtleitring auf seiner Oberfläche im wesentlichen poliert, wobei die Kegelfläche des Lichtleitrings außerhalb der Lichtaustrittsfläche auch fein strukturiert, insbesondere satiniert sein kann.
Zur Einleitung des Lichts in das Anzeigefeld ist ein Lichtleitkörper vorgesehen, der den Abstand zwischen einem Lichtelement als Lichtquelle und der Lichtaustrittsfläche überbrückt. Mit dem Lichtleitkörper wird das gebündelte Licht des Lichtelementes gestreut, um eine möglichst vollständige Ausleuchtung des Anzeigefeldes zu erzielen. Dazu erweitert sich der Lichtleitkörper zweckmäßig von einer Lichteintrittsfläche bis zur Lichtaustrittsfläche vorzugsweise etwa gleichmäßig.
Weitere Merkmale der Erfindung ergeben sich aus den weiteren Ansprüchen, der Beschreibung und der Zeichnung, in der nachfolgend im Einzelnen beschriebene Ausführungsbeispiele der Erfindung dargestellt sind. Es zeigen:

Bei Maschinensteuerungen müssen eine Vielzahl von Elementen über ein Bussystem oder dgl. Datenleitung angesteuert bzw. abgefragt werden. In Fig. 1 ist eine Aneinanderreihung von Steckbuchsen 2 gezeigt, die über einen gemeinsamen Busanschluß 1 mit einer Maschinensteuerung verbunden sind. Jeder Steckanschluß 2 besteht aus fünf Kontakten 3 bis 7, die für die Verbindung mit Sensoren, Aktoren oder dgl. Elemente vorgesehen sind. Während z. B. die Kontakte 5 bis 7 zur Spannungsversorgung und Steuerung benutzt werden können, können die Kontakte 3 und 4 als Diagnose-Kontakte genutzt werden, über die die ordnungsgemäße Funktion des angeschlossenen aktiven oder passiven Elementes überprüft werden kann. Um den Zustand der durchgeführten Überprüfung anzuzeigen, ist benachbart zum Steckelement im Ausführungsbeispiel zur Steckbuchse 2 ein Anzeigefeld 10 bzw. 11 angeordnet, das von einem schaltbaren Lichtelement gespeist ist und eine quer zur Steckrichtung 8 liegende Lichtaustrittsfläche 12, 13 aufweist.
Wie die Figuren 6 und 7 zeigen, liegen die Lichtaustrittsflächen 11 und 12 in einem Winkel 9 von mehr als 90° zur Steckrichtung 8 geneigt, wobei die geneigte Lichtaustrittsfläche 12, 13 dem Steckelement, im Ausführungsbeispiel der Steckbuchse 2, abgewandt liegt.
Wie der Fig. 2 zu entnehmen, hat die Lichtaustrittsfläche 12, 13 in Draufsicht eine ringartige, trapezförmige Gestalt, wobei die Lichtaustrittsfläche - vgl. Figuren 3 und 6 - gewölbt ausgeführt ist. Die Lichtaustrittsfläche 12, 13 erstreckt sich dabei in Umfangsrichtung der Steckbuchse 2 über einen Umfangswinkel 14 von etwa 30° bis 45°, insbesondere etwa 35°. Dabei bilden die Lichtaustrittsflächen 12, 13 in besonderer Ausführung der Erfindung Teil eines Lichtleitrings 15, der das Steckelement, im Ausführungsbeispiel die Steckbuchse, umrahmt. Der Lichtleitring 15 ist vorteilhaft ein aus einer Kugelzone 16 gebildeter Kreisring 17, so daß die Lichtaustrittsfläche 12, 13 durch das Flächensegment eines Kreiskörpers, im Ausführungsbeispiel einer Kugeloberfläche 18 (Fig. 6), ausgebildet ist.
Der Lichtleitring 15 ist aus einem lichtleitenden transparenten Material gefertigt, wobei der Lichtleitring 15 vorzugsweise einteilig ausgebildet ist. Die vorgesehenen Lichtaustrittsflächen 12 und 13 sind auf der Außenfläche grob strukturiert, insbesondere mattiert, was z. B. durch eine Erodierstruktur größer 39 möglich ist. Um einen Lichtübertritt in den benachbarten Abschnitt des Lichtleitrings 15 zu vermeiden, sind die Lichtaustrittsflächen 12, 13 an hren in Umfangsrichtung liegenden Rändern 19 durch konstruktive Trennfugen 20 begrenzt. Die Trennfugen 20 haben zweckmäßig einen teilkreisförmigen Querschnitt und erstrecken sich vom äußeren Rand 21 des Lichtleitrings 15 bis zu einer orthogonal zur Steckrichtung 8 liegenden, ringförmigen äußeren Stirnfläche 22, die vorteilhaft poliert ist. Außerhalb der Lichtaustrittsflächen 12 und 13 ist die äußere, kugelförmige Oberfläche des Lichtleitrings 15 fein strukturiert, insbesondere satiniert, was durch eine Erodierstruktur kleiner 27 erzielbar ist.
Im gezeigten Ausführungsbeispiel sind im Lichtleitring 15 zwei Lichtaustrittsflächen 12, 13 vorgesehen, die vorzugsweise in einer Hälfte des Lichtleitrings 15 vorgesehen sind. Aus Designund Symmetriegründen können weitere Trennfugen 23 vorgesehen sein.
Wie Fig. 3 zu entnehmen, liegt das eine Lichtquelle bildende Lichtelement 25 mit Abstand zur Lichtaustrittsfläche 12. Der Abstand zwischen der Lichtaustrittsfläche 12 und dem Lichtelement 25 ist von einem Lichtleitkörper 26 überbrückt. Der Lichtleitkörper 26 hat eine der Lichtquelle gegenüberliegende Lichteintrittsfläche 24, wobei die Lichteintrittsfläche 24 und die Lichtaustrittsfläche 12, 13 in winklig zueinander liegenden Ebenen liegen. Das der Lichteintrittsfläche 24 gegenüberliegende Ende des Lichtleitkörpers 26 ist von der Lichtaustrittsfläche 12 bzw. 13 gebildet, wobei der Lichtleitkörper 26 und der Lichtleitring 15 zweckmäßig einteilig ausgeführt sind. Zur Vermeidung eines unkontrollierten Lichtaustrittes ist die Außenfläche 27 des gesamten Lichtleitrings bis auf die mattierten und satinierten Kugelflächen poliert.
Die Lichtelemente 25 sind - wie z. B. Fig. 6 zeigt - vorzugsweise LEDs, deren Strahlung an der Lichteintrittsfläche 24 des Lichtleitkörpers 26 eintritt. Im Endbereich des Lichtleitkörpers 26 ist dieser hammerkopfartig erweitert, wobei der Hammerkopf 29 auf seiner freien Stirnseite die in der Kugelfläche 28 liegende Lichtaustrittsfläche 12, 13 bildet. Der Hammerkopf 29 ist einteilig mit dem Lichtleitring 17 aus einem transparenten, lichtleitenden Material gebildet.
Zur mechanischen Halterung des Lichtleitrings am Gehäuse eines Steckanschlusses 2 sind einem Lichtleitkörper 26 etwa diametral gegenüberliegend Steckansätze 30 vorgesehen (Fig. 4).
Im Ausführungsbeispiel nach Fig. 9 ist der Lichtleitkörper 26 derart ausgebildet, daß er sich beginnend bei der Lichteintrittsfläche 24 zum endseitigen Hammerkopf 29 mit der Lichtaustrittsfläche 13 bzw. 12 hin im wesentlichen gleichmäßig erweitert. Auf diese Weise werden Stufen oder dgl. bewußt vermieden und eine breite Streuung des an der Lichteintrittsfläche 24 eintretenden Lichtes erreicht. Das Anzeigefeld 10, 11 der Lichtaustrittsfläche 12, 13 ist so weitgehend gleichmäßig erhellt, wodurch eine gute Erkennbarkeit sowohl aus der Steckrichtung 8 wie auch seitlich gegeben ist.
Zweckmäßig sind die Steckansätze 30 entsprechend den Hammerköpfen 29 ausgeführt, so daß ein weitgehend symmetrischer Aufbau erzielt ist.
Der dargestellte Lichtleitring 15 ist im Ausführungsbeispiel nach Fig. 1 bei M12 Gewindesteckanschlüssen vorgesehen; eine zweckmäßige Verwendung ist auch mit schraubbaren Steckanschlüssen anderer Größen möglich. Zweckmäßig werden die Durchmesser des Lichtleitrings 15 dem Steckanschluß entsprechend gewählt.

Claims (16)

  1. Zustandsanzeige für eine Steckverbindung, bestehend aus einem benachbart zum Steckelement (2) angeordneten Anzeigefeld (10, 11), das von einem Lichtelement (25) gespeist ist und eine Lichtaustrittsfläche (12, 13) aufweist, die in einem Winkel (9) von mehr als 90° zur Steckrichtung (8) geneigt ist und die geneigte Lichtaustrittsfläche (12, 13) dem Steckelement (2) abgewandt liegt,
    dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Lichtaustrittsfläche (12, 13) Teil eines Lichtleitrings (15) aus einem lichtleitenden, transparenten Material ist, wobei der Lichtleitring (15) das Steckelement (2) umrahmt und die Lichtaustrittsfläche (12, 13) als Flächensegment in Steckrichtung gesehen eine gewölbt trapezförmige Gestalt hat.
  2. Zustandsanzeige nach Anspruch 1,
    dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Lichtaustrittsfläche (12, 13) als Flächensegment eines Kreiskörpers, insbesondere einer Kugeloberfläche (18) ausgebildet ist.
  3. Zustandsanzeige nach Anspruch 1 oder 2,
    dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß sich die Lichtaustrittsfläche (12, 13) über einen Umfangswinkel (14) von etwa 30° bis 45°, insbesondere etwa 35°, erstreckt.
  4. Zustandsanzeige nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 3,
    dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß der Lichtleitring (15) ein aus einer Kugelzone (16) gebildeter Kreisring (17) ist.
  5. Zustandsanzeige nach Anspruch 4,
    dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß der Lichtleitring (15) bis auf die Kugeloberfläche (28) des Kreisrings (17) und die Lichtaustrittsfläche (12, 13) poliert ist.
  6. Zustandsanzeige nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 5,
    dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß der Lichtleitring (15) einteilig gefertigt ist.
  7. Zustandsanzeige nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 6,
    dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Lichtaustrittsfläche (12, 13) grob strukturiert ist.
  8. Zustandsanzeige nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 6,
    dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Lichtaustrittsfläche (12, 13) mattiert ist.,
  9. Zustandsanzeige nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 8,
    dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Lichtaustrittsfläche (12, 13) an ihren radialen Rändern (19) durch konstruktive Trennfugen (20) begrenzt sind.
  10. Zustandsanzeige nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 9,
    dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Oberfläche des Lichtleitrings (15) außerhalb der Lichtaustrittsflächen (12, 13) fein strukturiert, insbesondere satiniert ist.
  11. Zustandsanzeige nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 10,
    dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß der Lichtleitring (15) eine orthogonal zur Steckrichtung (8) liegende äußere Stirnfläche (22) aufweist, die insbesondere poliert ist.
  12. Zustandsanzeige nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 11,
    dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß der Lichtleitring (15) zwei Lichtaustrittsflächen (12, 13) aufweist, die vorzugsweise mit Abstand in einer Hälfte des Lichtleitrings (15) angeordnet sind.
  13. Zustandsanzeige nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 12,
    dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß das Lichtelement (25) mit Abstand zur Lichtaustrittsfläche (12, 13) liegt und der Abstand zwischen der Lichtaustrittsfläche (12, 13) und dem Lichtelement (25) von einem Lichtleitkörper (26) überbrückt ist.
  14. Zustandsanzeige nach Anspruch 13,
    dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß sich der Lichtleitkörper (26) von einer Lichteintrittsfläche (24) bis zur Lichtaustrittsfläche (12, 13) erweitert, vorzugsweise etwa gleichmäßig erweitert.
  15. Zustandsanzeige nach Anspruch 13 oder 14,
    dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß das Ende des Lichtleitkörpers (26) von der Lichtaustrittsfläche (12, 13) gebildet ist.
  16. Zustandsanzeige nach einem der Ansprüche 13 bis 15,
    dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß der Lichtleitkörper (26) und der Lichtleitring (15) einteilig ausgeführt sind.
