Description

The present invention relates to displays of various articles, and in particular, but not exclusively, the displays of hair coloring and care products.

The invention has, in one of its aspects, in particular a display unit as defined in claim 1.

The use of shelves arranged cantilever reduces the number of columns required, and thus reduce the number of component parts and the cost of the display. It also helps to improve the aesthetics of it. The retractable shelves can be used for the presentation of samples for example.

The document JP-09266823-A also shows a display for computer equipment with a retractable shelf.

According to one aspect of the invention, said at least one retractable shelf is supported cantilevered by one of said shelves, when in an extended position.

In a particular embodiment of the invention, at least one retractable shelf is able to be moved under the shelf that supports it, in the longitudinal direction of the latter, which makes it possible to modify its location. In particular, the retractable shelf may be slidable relative to a support mounted under the associated shelf, and slidable in the longitudinal direction thereof. This can make it possible to vary the presentation of the products over time, but also to easily modify the arrangement of the tablets according to the nature of the articles presented. This can still make it possible to adapt the display to its environment.

In addition, displays of different aspects can be achieved through the use of said tablets with identical shelves, which allows to benefit from a scale effect in the manufacture of displays.

In a particular embodiment of the invention, the display comprises two columns and three sets of shelves, one of the series being supported by the two columns at a time and the two other series each extending cantilevered from the corresponding column. In this particular example, a pediment can connect the upper parts of the two columns.

The shelves can be arranged in many ways. The display can include for example fewer shelves fixed between the two columns than shelves cantilevered on each of the columns, which may allow to fix an advertising or decorative panel between the two columns.

The shelves may comprise for example at least two retractable shelves each. These two shelves can be moved in opposite directions to be brought into their deployed configuration. One of these tablets can, for example, be deployed forward and the other rearward. Such a configuration can make it possible to present products with different arrangements on both sides of the display, the front of the display unit for example facing a window and the back being visible from inside the store or hairdressing salon.

The two retractable shelves at least one shelf can be of different sizes, including widths, which offers a wider variety of possible presentations. One of the tablets may have for example a width of 70 mm and the other tablet doubles. Both tablets can have the same depth, for example.

Each shelf may have a symmetrical shape with respect to a vertical plane containing its longitudinal axis.

A series of shelves extending cantilevered from the same column can be arranged to alternate the size of the shelves retractable in the direction of the height, when the display is viewed from the front. The aesthetics of the display can be improved.

In a particular implementation of the invention, the columns comprise fastening elements making it possible to arrange the shelves at different heights at the user's choice, which may make it possible in particular to adapt the distance between the shelves to the size articles. It is thus possible, for example, to arrange the lower shelves with greater spacing than the upper shelves, and to install in particular pressurized cans, traditionally quite bulky.

In another particular embodiment of the invention, the shelves comprise, on their upper face, at least one groove located near their front or rear edge, and for example a groove near each of the front and rear edges. This groove can be used to maintain at least one advertising plate or information, for example.

The display can have at least one base at the bottom of each column, such a base advantageously comprising a shell made by rotational molding.

Shelves and / or columns can be made at least partly of aluminum.

The shelves can be fixed to the columns by means of fasteners each comprising a metal frame and a plastic covering. The metal frame may comprise at least one generally T-shaped fitting, for example two spaced apart fittings and vis-à-vis. These two fittings can define between them a space allowing the passage of the body of at least one screw whose head comes to rest against said brackets, to maintain them in place on the column. The fittings may comprise at one end a bore for the passage of a fastening screw of the fastener on the shelf. Advantageously, the plastic covering is shaped to fit the outer shape of the column.

Throughout the description and in the claims, the terms "comprising one" or "comprising one" should be understood as being synonymous with "having at least one", unless the opposite is specified.

The display unit 1 shown in FIG. 1 comprises two columns 2 and series of shelves 3a, 3b and 3c, able to support articles 6.

All shelves 3a are superimposed, being six in number, for example, and are fixed cantilevered on column 2 on the left. All the shelves 3c are identical to the shelves 3a, also six in number, for example, and are superimposed and fixed cantilevered on the column 2 on the right. Shelves 3b are three in number, for example, and are fixed on the two columns 2 to extend between them. The shelves 3a and 3c extend in opposite directions. Shelves 3b differ in the illustrated example shelves 3a and 3c essentially in that they are a little longer and in that they are arranged to attach to the two columns 2 instead of one.

The shelves 3a, 3b and 3c may each comprise one or more retractable shelves, for example a small width of the shelf 4a and a large width of the shelf 4b.

These tablets 4a and 4b can be used for example to highlight samples 7, as can be seen more particularly in Figure 2.

The shelves 4a and 4b are arranged so as to retract under the shelves 3a, 3b or 3c, as are in particular the shelves 4a and 4b of the second and third shelves 3a of the left column 2 from the bottom.

The shelves 3a, 3b and 3c comprise, near their longitudinal front and rear edges, on their upper face, longitudinal grooves 12, only one of which is visible in FIG. 2, into which an advertising plate 8 can be introduced. or information.

It can be seen in Figure 3 in particular that the shelf 3b has a generally symmetrical shape with respect to a vertical median plane containing its longitudinal axis X. It is the same shelves 3a and 3c. The lower face of each shelf 3a, 3b or 3c comprises, associated with each retractable shelf 4a or 4b, a pair of rails 22. The latter can guide in translation along the axis X of the carriages 13a and 13b, respectively associated with the tablets 4a and 4b.

The tablet 4a can slide relative to the carriage 13a in a direction perpendicular to the axis X, horizontal, and it is the same for the tablet 4b vis-à-vis the carriage 13b. The trolleys 13a and 13b are arranged so as to allow the respective shelves 4a and 4b to be moved from a retracted position, in which the shelves are located for example completely under the shelf, to an extended position in which the shelves extend cantilevered beyond the longitudinal edges of the shelf, for allow to ask an article 6 or a sample 7.

If necessary, the displacement of the shelves 4a or 4b relative to the carriages 13a or 13b can be performed with hard points obtained by friction or elastic deformation, to allow the user manipulating the tablets 4a and 4b to feel if those they reach their retracted or deployed positions.

The body of each shelf 3a, 3b and 3c, which is constituted for example by an aluminum profile, receives at its ends one or two fasteners 5 for mounting on one of the columns 2 or both, according to the case. Thus, the shelves 3b have at each end a fastener 5, as can be seen in Figure 3, while the shelves 3a and 3c have only one fastener 5, being for example provided with the another end of a simple tip 30, as can be seen in Figure 2.

The fasteners 5 are arranged so as to be able to take up the forces related to the weight of the articles 6 placed on the shelves, and may comprise for this purpose a metal armature 17 composed of two identical fittings 18 and arranged with a space facing each other. one of the other, as can be seen in Figure 4.

Is shown individually in Figure 5 one of these fittings 18. The latter comprises a bearing 18a intended to be engaged in a groove inside the body of the shelf, for example, and a base 18b having flats 18c. The bearing 18a is provided at its end opposite the base 18b, a bore 20 which allows the passage of a fastening screw 16 engaging the body of the shelf, as can be seen on the figure 3.

Each fastener 5 comprises, on the side of the base 18b, a plastic shell 19 which serves as a covering and masks the armature 17. The shell 19 has openings 31 for the passage of fastening screws and makes it possible to create an aesthetic junction between a shelf and the corresponding column.

Each column 2 comprises, in the illustrated example, a metal section, made of aluminum, for example, provided as can be seen in Figure 4 of longitudinal grooves 14. The latter receive bars provided along their length of tapped holes 15 in which can engage the screws engaged in the apertures 31 of the fasteners 5. These screws can bear by their head against the flats 18c, their body extending in the gap 21 between two brackets 18. Preferably, the pitch with which the bores 15 are made is relatively small so as to provide a sufficient choice for the height at which each shelf is positioned. The step in question can thus be small enough that a majority of the holes 15 remain unoccupied.

In the illustrated example, each of the columns 2 is fixed at its base to a base 9 having a shell made by rotational molding.

A pediment 10 connects the two columns 2 at their upper part.

In the example shown, the shelves 3a and 3c are more numerous than the shelves 3b and the latter are fixed between the two columns 2 low enough to leave a location to accommodate a panel 11 may include for example an image to put worth the products 6.

It goes without saying that the invention is not limited to a particular arrangement of the shelves relative to the columns or to a given number of shelves or columns.

By way of example of possible variants, among others, there is shown diagrammatically in FIGS. 6 and 7 display stands 60 or 70, each comprising a single column 65 or 75. The display 60 comprises two sets of shelves 63a. 63c arranged along two opposite sides of the column 65. The display 70 comprises a series of shelves 73c arranged on the same side of the column 75.

Of course, the invention is not limited to the described embodiments.

The shelves may, for example, be retractable other than sliding and be mounted on the shelves so as to pivot relative to the latter, for example.

Claims (23)

1. A display unit (1; 60; 70), comprising:

   - at least one column (2);

   - at least two shelves (3a; 3c; 63a; 63c; 73c); and

   - at least one retractable flap (4a; 4b) carried by one of said shelves, characterized by the fact that said at least two shelves (3a; 3c; 63a; 63c; 73c) are cantilevered out from said column and by the fact that said at least one retractable flap (4a; 4b) is suitable for sliding relative to a support (13a; 13b) mounted beneath the associated shelf, said support (13a; 13b) being itself slidable along the longitudinal direction of the associated shelf.
2. A display unit (1; 60; 70) according to claim 1, characterized by the fact that at least one of said retractable flaps (4a; 4b) is cantilevered out from one of said shelves, when it is in a deployed position.
3. A display unit according to either preceding claim, characterized by the fact that each cantilevered-out shelf carries at least one retractable flap (4a; 4b).
4. A display unit according to any preceding claim, characterized by the fact that each shelf of the display unit carries at least one retractable flap (4a; 4b).
5. A display unit according to any preceding claim, characterized by the fact that it comprises two columns (2), at least one shelf (3b) carried by both columns simultaneously, and shelves (3a; 3c) cantilevered out from at least one of the two columns.
6. A display unit according to the preceding claim, characterized by the fact that it includes a pelmet (10) interconnecting the top portions of the two columns (2).
7. A display unit according to either one of the two immediately preceding claims, characterized by the fact that it has fewer shelves (3b) between the two columns (2) than it has shelves (3a; 3c) cantilevered out from each of the columns.
8. A display unit according to any one of the three preceding claims, characterized by the fact that it includes a panel (11) between the two columns.
9. A display unit according to any preceding claim, characterized by the fact that each shelf carries at least two retractable flaps (4a; 4b).
10. A display unit according to the preceding claim, characterized by the fact that the two retractable flaps (4a; 4b) are movable in opposite directions to be put into their deployed configuration.
11. A display unit according to either one of the two immediately preceding claims, characterized by the fact that the two retractable flaps (4a; 4b) are of different sizes.
12. A display unit according to any preceding claim, characterized by the fact that each shelf is symmetrical in shape about a vertical midplane containing its longitudinal axis (X).
13. A display unit according to any preceding claim, characterized by the fact that said at least one shelf includes at least one groove (12) in its top face, said groove being situated close to its front or rear edge.
14. A display unit according to the preceding claim, characterized by the fact that at least one shelf carries at least one sheet (8) having its bottom edge inserted in said groove.
15. A display unit according to any preceding claim, characterized by the fact that it includes at least one stand (9) fixed to said at least one column (2).
16. A display unit according to the preceding claim, characterized by the fact that said stand comprises a shell made by rotational molding.
17. A display unit according to any preceding claim, characterized by the fact that at least one shelf is made at least in part out of aluminum.
18. A display unit according to any preceding claim, characterized by the fact that at least one column is made at least in part out of aluminum.
19. A display unit according to any preceding claim, characterized by the fact that the shelves are fixed to the columns by means of fastenings (5), each comprising a strength member (17) and decoration (19) made of plastics material.
20. A display unit according to the preceding claim, characterized by the fact that said strength member (17) comprises at least one generally T-shaped bracket (18).
21. A display unit according to the preceding claim, characterized by the fact that said strength member comprises two spaced-apart brackets (18) side by side.
22. A display unit according to the preceding claim, characterized by the fact that said brackets (18) define between them a space (21) suitable for receiving the body of at least one screw whose head rests against said brackets, in order to hold them in place on the column.
23. A display unit according to any one of claims 19 to 22, characterized by the fact that the plastics material decoration (19) is shaped to fit closely to the outside shape of a column.
