Description

The invention relates to a luminaire with a luminaire housing, which has at least one light exit opening, and with an explosion-proof luminous body of at least lamp, base and lamp enveloping body and housing contacts in the luminaire housing for the electrical supply of the filament.

Such a lamp is known for example from DE 41 38 942. In the prior art luminaire, the explosion-proof luminous element is formed, for example, from a halogen incandescent lamp as a lamp, an enveloping bulb as a lamp enveloping body, and a cup-shaped base. The outer bulb and lamp are inserted at one of their ends in the cup-like base and fasten there by a hardenable material. The base has on its outer side contact lugs, which are electrically connected to the lamp and are used to make contact with corresponding housing contacts in the luminaire housing of the luminaire.

US 4 186 432 also shows an explosion-proof filament with an exchangeable unit consisting of an enveloping body and a discharge lamp.

The production of such a previously known filament is relatively expensive, since both the lamp enveloping body and the lamp are fastened with their electrical contacts in the socket. In addition, an additional rotating movement for screwing the socket into a corresponding-mating contact element is necessary by the use of a screw-socket at the onset of the filament. Furthermore, difficulties arise in this known prior art, if a lamp already having a base is to be used. As a rule, such a lamp is only suitable for small power.

It is therefore the object of the present invention to improve a luminaire of the type mentioned at the outset such that it is easier to manufacture and at the same time variable and usable for substantially all types of lamps and at least partially reusable.

This object is achieved in connection with the features of the preamble of claim 1, characterized in that the lamp and base are arranged in the flameproof enclosure in flameproof enclosure or increased security lamp envelopes, which has externally accessible Hüllkörperkontakte for connection to the housing contacts, which Hüllkörperkontakte with the Base are electrically connected.

According to the invention eliminates the common arrangement of the lamp enveloping body and lamp or their electrical contacts in a separate socket, lamp envelopes and corresponding parts of the lamp must be fixed in this socket by a curable material. In addition, substantially all types of lamps with an associated socket may be used, such as incandescent lamps, high pressure lamps, metal halide lamps, compact fluorescent lamps, halogen lamps, single-pin / two-pin or four-pin fluorescent lamps, and the like. According to the invention, in each case the entire lamp with base or with the contact element corresponding to a base, see fluorescent lamps, is enclosed by the lamp enveloping body. Directly on the lamp enveloping body, the enveloping body contacts are arranged, which are on the one hand electrically connected to the base and on the other hand are formed for contacting the housing contacts in the lamp housing.

The solution according to the invention makes it possible in a simple way a lamp replacement without large luminaire weights or bulky, pressure-resistant rooms in the lamp are necessary. Furthermore, it is not necessary for the luminaire to be opened until hot spots inside the luminaire have cooled down to room temperature, for example, in order to enable safe replacement of the lamp in potentially explosive areas. Instead, the luminaire can be opened at any time and then the luminous element or the lamp enveloping body can be removed. In particular, the lamp enveloping body is reusable.

The lamp envelope may be made of different materials suitable for the appropriate type of protection, such as glass fiber reinforced polyester, polycarbonate, aluminum, light alloy, or the like, with adequate illumination can be ensured by the lamp, characterized in that the lamp enveloping body is designed to be translucent at least on its side facing the light exit opening.

In one embodiment, the lamp enveloping body may be formed of borosilicate glass at least in its translucent area.

In order to optimize the luminous efficacy of the lamp, the luminaire housing can have a reflector on the side facing the light exit opening and / or the lamp enveloping body on its side opposite the light exit opening.

As already mentioned, a lamp enveloping body can be designed to accommodate lamps of different types, in particular for receiving lamps of different sizes and / or power.

In order to use, for example, the lamp enveloping body as a replacement element, as a set of modules in a type program or for retrofitting a lamp to requirements in explosion-proof use, the filament and in particular the Lampenhüllkörper can be designed as a separately manageable lamp module, which at least for releasable insertion into the luminaire housing and in Area of the enveloping body contacts for contacting de corresponding housing contacts predetermined external dimensions identifies. As a result, for example, a lamp module can be removed from the luminaire and used directly by another lamp module optionally equipped with a different type of lamp without further conversion of the luminaire. In addition, for example, the lamp modules are replaced by appropriately non-explosion-proof filament, if the lamp is not to be used with an explosion-proof area.

In order to reduce the volume of the lamp enveloping body as much as possible and to allow a uniform heat distribution between the lamp and the lamp enveloping body, the lamp enveloping body can be adapted in its shape to the lamp.

For safe electrical connection of luminaire and luminous body, it can furthermore be considered advantageous if enveloping body contacts and / or housing contacts are formed in the type of protection flameproof enclosure.

The space between the lamp enveloping body and the lamp can be at least partially evacuated. Furthermore, there is a possibility that a gas is filled in this space, such as air, nitrogen or the like. Such a gas can prevent explosive mixtures from reaching the hot surface of the lamp before it has cooled sufficiently.

As already mentioned, the luminous element can be handled separately, in particular, as a lamp module and can be used for upgrading non-explosion-proof luminaires to explosion-proof luminaires for use in luminaires of the type of protection increased safety and type of protection flameproof enclosure. Consequently, the invention also relates to a lamp body or lamp enveloping body, as has been described in particular above, which is designed as a lamp module in protection flameproof enclosure or increased security, in which lamp module, a lamp and a lamp base are arranged and externally accessible Hüllkörper- or module contacts has, which are electrically connected to the lamp cap, wherein the lamp module is releasably attachable in a lamp housing a lamp.

Als Lampen sind Einstift-/Zweistift- oder Vierstiftleuchtstofflampen, Halogenlampen, Kompaktleuchtstofflampen, Glühlampen, Hochdruckdampflampen, Metalldampflampen oder dergleichen einsetzbar. Die Sockel 6 entsprechen dabei den jeweils für die unterschiedlichen Lampen verwendeten Sockeln, siehe hierzu beispielsweise die beidseitig an einer Leuchtstofflampe angeordneten Sockel 6.Examples of different lamps 5 with different sockets 6 are shown in FIG. The lamps used are single-pin / double-pin or four-pin fluorescent lamps, halogen lamps, compact fluorescent lamps, incandescent lamps, high-pressure vapor lamps, metal halide lamps or the like. The pedestals 6 correspond to the bases used in each case for the different lamps, see, for example, the pedestal 6 arranged on both sides on a fluorescent lamp.

According to the necessary protective measures in the explosion-proof area are limited to the parts to be protected-built-in, resulting in a small and lightweight design. In itself, only the luminous element 4 in the type of protection flameproof enclosure or increased security is formed. Compliance with cooling times for replacing the lamps can be dispensed with in the invention, since the overall encapsulated lamp module is replaceable. Only in the workshop, i. in the non-hazardous area, then the lamp module can be opened.

The lamp modules can be used in exchange and as an assembly set in a type program. Due to the lamp module according to the invention, it is also possible to retrofit existing luminaires to the requirements of explosion-proof use or even no longer used in explosion-proof areas lamps by replacing the lamp module by a conventional lamp.
