Abstract

Ein Elektrolichtbogenofen mit einem Untergefäß (2) und einem Obergefäß (3), das im Betrieb mittels eines Ofendeckels (4) abgeschlossen ist, ferner mit einem Abgaskrümmer (5), der über ein für die Luftzuführung zwecks Nachverbrennung der Ofengase im Abstand (13) einstellbares Klappstück (6) oder eine Schiebemuffe mit einer Brennkammer (7) oder einer stationären Abgasleitung in Verbindung steht, löst die Aufgabe, bei kontrollierter Führung der Luftmengen im Bereich der Elektroden eine gleichmäßigere Wärmeverteilung im Ofen zu erzielen, dadurch, dass der Abgaskrümmer (5) auf der Seite des Ofengefäßes (1) als sich zur Ansaug-öffnung (5b) hin verbreiternde Abgashaube (5a) ausgebildet und das Deckelloch (4a) um die Elektrode (10) oder die Elektroden (10) abdeckend ausgebildet ist.
