Definitions
- the present invention relates to a method according to the preamble of claim 1 and a microphone arrangement after the one of claim 9.
- microphone arrangements with a transmission characteristic to realize which in given or specifiable function of the direction of incidence of the acoustic Signals generate the electrical output signal.
- microphone arrangements with or specifiable directional characteristics, in which acoustic signals from predetermined directional areas more, less amplified from other directions the output signal, up to arrangements with practical in one direction focused reception characteristic.
- this object is achieved by a method mentioned type solved in which at the microphone assembly at least two Submikrophonan glovesen be provided whose Transmission characteristics in function of said direction depending on their electrical output signals are different and that one has the output signal as a function of one on one predetermined or predefinable value of saturated product, with the quotient of the output signals of the Submikrophonan glovesen as one of the factors.
- saturation of the mentioned product i. of the weighted Quotient
- saturation of the mentioned product i. of the weighted Quotient
- one the product, at any rate is saturated to a maximum value.
- the second factor of the saturated product take any value other than zero, so definitely also the value 1.
- the mentioned function is a difference from an optionally adjustable constants and the saturated product wherein, preferably, the value of the constant is at least approached equal to the saturation value is selected.
- An inventive microphone assembly mentioned above Type is characterized by the fact that the processing unit a weighted quotient forming unit comprises one Denominator input, a counter input and a weighting input, where numerator and denominator inputs each with one of the inputs the processing unit are operatively connected, wherein further the weighted quotient forming unit to a maximum and / or a minimum value saturated output signal at its Output generates which output to the output of the processing unit is actively connected.
- the inventive method and the inventive microphone arrangement are particularly suitable for use Hearing aids.
- the inventive method and the inventive microphone arrangement by means of signal processing To realize in the time domain is in a preferred Embodiment, the signal processing in the frequency domain made using time domain / frequency domain converters or frequency domain / time domain converters.
- a first sub-microphone arrangement has the three-dimensional transmission characteristic shown in two dimensions in FIG. 1a with respect to its transmission or amplification characteristic with respect to acoustic signals from the direction .phi.
- FIG. 1b in a representation analogous to FIG. 1a, the transmission characteristic of a second submicron arrangement is shown, which with respect to the axis ⁇ / 2; 3 ⁇ / 2 is a mirror image of the transmission characteristic of the first submicron arrangement.
- the transfer characteristic according to FIG. 1a is denoted by c N , that according to FIG. 1b by c Z.
- the magnitude of the transmission characteristics c N and c Z is represented qualitatively and in dB over the angular axis ⁇ according to FIGS. 1a and 1b.
- resulting pole intercepted anyway, ie the quotient function Q is saturated.
- the quotient function is saturated at a predetermined or predeterminable value B, according to FIG. 1, preferably at the value "one", at maximum value of the transfer functions according to FIGS. 1a, b of "one".
- the quotient function Q sat1 saturated to "1" is now entered in FIG. 3 with linear gain scaling . It can now be seen from this that in the non-saturated angular ranges, in the present case between 0 and ⁇ / 2 and between 3 ⁇ / 2 and 2 ⁇ , the saturated quotient function Q sat1 exhibits the course of a directional transmission characteristic. If now pronounced directional characteristic is to be achieved for the desired transfer characteristic to be realized, the region of the quotient function set according to the invention to the given saturation value, described in Example 1, is utilized there, ie in this angular range, a defined minimum gain of the desired transfer characteristic achieve.
- Fig. 4 the transfer function is shown, which was formed according to the invention of inversely directed, identical Kardoid transfer characteristics Ca, according to the transfer function
- FIG. 5 shows the resulting transfer characteristic when:
- FIG. 6 is based on a simplified signal flow / function block diagram a working according to the inventive method Microphone arrangement shown, for example, in particular also for use on a hearing aid.
- an arrangement 1 with at least two sub-microphone arrangements 1a and 1b is provided on the input side of the microphone arrangement according to the invention.
- output signals appear as a function of the direction ⁇ on the input-side microphones impinging acoustic signals.
- the two Submikrophonan isten can certainly be realized by means of a single pair of microphones whose outputs are coupled together by the technique "delay and add". It is essential that signals with different transmission characteristics with respect to the direction ⁇ of incoming acoustic signals are generated at the outputs A 1a and A 1b .
- the aforementioned outputs are operatively connected to inputs E 5a and E 5b, respectively, of magnitude forming units 5a and 5b.
- the outputs of the mentioned amount forming units are, as shown, on the denominator and counter inputs N and Z of a division unit 7 out.
- a weighting unit 9 multiplied by a weighting factor .alpha. Which can be predetermined at a control input S 9 , the output A 7 is operatively connected to the one input E 11a of a subtraction unit 11.
- division unit 7 forms and weighting unit 9 is a weighted quotient forming unit 10.
- weighting unit 9 is a weighted quotient forming unit 10.
- adjustable factor ⁇ can be arbitrary from 0 take different values.
- the signal at the output A 9 of the weighted quotient forming unit 10 is fed to a saturation unit 12 whose output is supplied to the input E 11a .
- the saturation unit 12 which of course can be integrated integrally with the weighted quotient forming unit 10, the output signal of the weighted quotient forming unit 10 is downwardly (in dashed lines indicated in block 12 of FIG. 6) and / or up to a predetermined or predetermined value B - as shown schematically at the input sat B set - saturated. This preferably at least also to a maximum value.
- the signal present there is subtracted from a fixed value A set or adjustable at the second input E 11b .
- the output A 11 of the subtraction unit 11 is operatively connected to the one input E 13a of a multiplication unit 13, with whose second input E 13b the output signal of that submicron arrangement 1a is operatively connected, which is also operatively connected to the denominator input N of the division unit 7.
- the denominator signal possibly also the counter signal, the input N or the input Z of the division input 7 fed yet weighted.
- the output signal S out of the microphone arrangement according to the invention appears. It has the desired transmission characteristic as a function of the spatial angle ⁇ , with which acoustic signals impinge on the input-side microphone arrangement 1.
- the desired transmission characteristic is set on the output signal S out .
- the method according to the invention and the microphone arrangement according to the invention are outstandingly suitable for use on hearing aids, in particular also due to the low signal processing effort and the pronounced possibility, as shown with reference to FIGS. 3 and 4, of the signal transmission from undesired directions of incidence, as from the rear with respect to a worn hearing aid to suppress.
