Definitions

  • the present invention relates to groups motor pumps and is particularly applicable to motor pump units immersed, intended in particular to collect effluents and especially pumps with a capacity of less than 4 kW, the coupling of which motor winding is in star (winding by motor phase).
  • a pump unit intended to pump oil.
  • This is a large motor pump group power whose coupling of the motor winding is necessarily in triangle, considering the power of the engine, and as underlined the indication, in row 10 of the first column, of the use of soft starters that apply for high power pumps.
  • the pump set comprises means for measuring a parameter which can be the phase shift between the voltage and the current, although in the example concrete realization the parameter is only the current. We measure the possibly running the cosine phi every 25s in the example of production. It is recommended to carry out this sampling every quarter of second at 15 min.
  • the signal representative of the absorbed current is the current passing through the feeding phases and not directly into the phase working.
  • the present invention is not directed to an engine of this kind high power coupled motor winding in a triangle like this is also described in US-4,473,338.
  • a small power pump unit includes a pump driven by an AC electric motor, having at least one phase of work.
  • the engine may be an engine single-phase or a three-phase motor.
  • the pump unit is intended to be placed in a pit or a tank and to be started, when it is necessary to empty the pit.
  • a low level sensor in particular integrated in the group motor pump, which gives the order to stop the engine and therefore the pump, so that it does not work empty.
  • the float which is located at a very low level in the pit gets dirty a lot. Although he is willing as low as possible, it necessarily remains, effluents in the bottom of the pit, which causes problems of clogging and odor.
  • the setting and installing a low level sensor of this type are complicated and the maintenance is tedious.
  • the invention overcomes these disadvantages by a group motor pump, which dispenses with a low level sensor and eliminates all the difficulties of installation, maintenance, odor and clogging the bottom of the tank, and that allows to completely empty the tank, without taking the risk that the pump is no longer powered and works empty, while being insensitive to changes in voltage supply and disturbance of the measurement if the parameters of the group motor pump are modified and without imposing a difference of the power taken by the pump under load and empty.
  • the subject of the invention is therefore a pump unit comprising a pump driven by a current electric motor alternative having at least one work phase, and an integrated microprocessor at one of the inputs of which the mains voltage is applied, and at another input of which is sent a signal representative of the current absorbed in the working phase of the engine.
  • the microprocessor comprises means for measuring the phase shift between the voltage and the current, means for continuously ascertaining the stability of the phase shift after it has stabilized at a constant value, means for storing the constant stabilized value of the phase shift, and means for switching off the motor, when, after the phase shift has stabilized, the phase shift takes, for a prescribed duration, a value greater than the stabilized value.
  • the calibration is repeated every time it is road of the pump unit and takes into account the evolutions of the pump, the electrical network and the hydraulic network (clogging of piping, sealing of the valve, etc ).
  • the ratio of actual load to power motor does not intervene anymore.
  • the signal representative of the absorbed current is the current passing only in the phase of work (winding by phase of the engine).
  • the pump set may comprise a sensor high level of the liquid to be conveyed, connected to an input of the microprocessor, of to send a signal to start the pump set and phase shift measuring means, only when the sensor detects a high level.
  • the microprocessor thus remains in a standby state and does not enter action only when the pump set is running.
  • Means for recognizing the stability of the phase shift may include means for measuring the constancy of the current.
  • Means for recognizing the stability of the phase shift include an intermediate level sensor of the liquid, detecting a level between the high level detected by the high level sensor and a low level, corresponding to the power off of the engine. These means Intermediate-level sensing findings are relatively simple and very safe. A simpler embodiment and less safe is described in US-5,015,151 in which, the means for recognizing the stability of the phase shift may include a timer that is triggered by the signal from the level sensor, which, after a prescribed flow time, decides that the phase shift is stable. If indeed, a certain duration of flow of 4 to 5 s has elapsed while the phase shift is stable, we can consider that we are no longer in the transitional phase.
  • the means of recognition operate continuously and respond immediately to any variation instantaneous phi cosine.
  • the pump unit shown in Figure 1 is placed in a pit F. It includes a motor that drives a pump 2 centrifugal, having a suction skirt 3 and a delivery pipe 4, conveying the effluents contained in the pit F on the outside thereof.
  • the motor 1 is supplied with power, via power line 5 by the sector S.
  • a sensor 6 of high level which is likely to detect the level of effluent in pit F.
  • Below of this sensor 6, is mounted on the motor 1 a level sensor 7 intermediate.
  • a microprocessor 8 Inside the engine compartment, is housed a microprocessor 8, connected by a line 9 to a current measuring circuit 10 passing into a working phase of the engine 1.
  • the motor is a single-phase motor, which includes a main phase 11 or work phase and a phase 12, which is in series with a capacitor 13.
  • the motor 1 is controlled by a control device 14.
  • a voltage signal taken on the power supply 5 comes through a line 15 to a terminal of the microprocessor 8.
  • a reference signal comes through a line 16, from the S supply, to an input of the microprocessor 8.
  • the microprocessor receives, via a line 17, a signal from sensor 6 high level.
  • the microprocessor 8 continuously measures the phase shift between the voltage signal applied by line 15 and the signal of current applied by line 9.
  • the microprocessor 8 is connected by a line 18 to means 19 for storing the phase shift in steady state.
  • the device 19 storing the stabilized value of the phase shift is connected by a line 20 to a comparator 21, which is connected by a line 22 to a device 23 storing the instantaneous value of the phase shift, a value provided by the microprocessor 8, via a line 24.
  • the comparison in the comparator 21 between the stabilized value of the phase shift provided by the device 19 and the instantaneous value of the phase shift provided by the device 23, is sent to a device 25 via a line 26. This device 25 determines whether the instantaneous value of the phase shift is greater than the value stabilized.
  • the timer 28 sends a line 27 to a timer 28, a corresponding signal and the timer 28 determines whether the time elapses while the device 25 transmits the signal in question, is greater than 200 ms. If this is the case, the timer 28 sends a line 29, an order stopping the engine, to a device 30 on / off which transmits it by a line 31 to the device 14 for controlling the engine.
  • the microprocessor 8 is connected to the device 30 on / off, by a line 32 to put the motor 1 under power.
  • the entire arrangement 8 to 30 preferably consists of in the form of software.
  • the intermediate level sensor 7 is connected to the microprocessor 8, by a line 33.
  • the pump set works as follows.
  • the sensor 6 When the level of water in pit 1 reaches the level detected by the sensor 6, the sensor 6 sends via the line 17 a signal to the microprocessor 8, which sends via line 32, a signal to the device 30 of On Off.
  • the device 30 gives the command via line 31 to the device 14 of command, to start the engine 1.
  • Pump 2 works.
  • the water level drops to the level of the intermediate sensor 7. This one sends on line 33 a signal to the microprocessor 8 for finding, phase shift between voltage and current.
  • the microprocessor 8 measures or then sees the phase shift between the voltage and the current and sends the value stabilized of this phase shift at the storage device 19 by the line 18.
  • the microprocessor 8 sends permanently through line 24, the device 23, the instantaneous value of the phase difference between the current and voltage provided by lines 9 and 15.
  • the comparator 21 which compares the values provided by the device 19 and the device 23, sends by line 26 a signal to the device 25.
  • the device 25 ascertains whether the phase shift is greater than a given value by a specified amount. Yes this is the case, it sends a signal through line 27 to timer 28, which determines whether it receives this signal for a prescribed time. If that is the case, the timer 28 gives the command via line 29 to the on / off device 30, to send a signal 31 to the engine stop control device 14 1.
  • the sensor 7 of intermediate level is replaced by a timer 7 which is triggered by the signal of the high level sensor 6 and which, after a duration of flow prescribed, decides that the phase difference between the current supplied by line 9 and the voltage provided by line 15 is stable
  • the means of recognition of the stability of the phase shift comprise means in the microprocessor 8 for measuring the constancy of the current supplied by line 9.
