Abstract

The upper pivot point (D3) linking the seat rod (7) to the seating surface (6) lies closer (a) to the backrest (5) than does (b) the bottom pivot point (D2) linking rod (7) to seat support (3). A slide guide (10) for the seat surface (6) allows the backrest and seating surface to move in synchronism. Upper pivot point (D3) rides in slot (11) arranged in the support (4) and the forward half (6a) of the surface (6) has a slide guide (8) at a downwards slope. Rod (7) lies concave towards the seating surface (6).
