Definitions
- the invention relates to a fuel injector.
- a fuel injector is known, the one first injector module and an adjacent second injector module having.
- the injector modules are in a nozzle clamping nut arranged.
- a high pressure bore is through the injector modules guided. So because of the high pressure in the high pressure bore no fuel through the gaps caused by contact areas is formed between the injector modules, in the gap caused by contact surfaces between the nozzle clamping nut and the injector modules is formed, exits and from there into the surroundings of the fuel injector the injector modules through the nozzle clamping nut with a high axial preload force pressed against each other.
- the surface pressure is particularly high, since at least one the contact areas an increased partial area in the outer area has, so that the entire biasing force only on this Partial effect.
- the increased partial area prevents leakage of fuel in the gap through contact surfaces formed between the nozzle clamping nut and the injector modules becomes.
- Located in the inner area of the contact area a lowered partial surface, which is used to discharge from the high pressure bore escaping fuel with a return hole connected is.
- the invention has for its object a fuel injector to be specified in relation to the prior art smaller preload forces has a higher high pressure tightness.
- the task is solved by using a fuel injector the following features:
- the fuel injector has a housing that consists of at least one nozzle clamping nut, one formed first injector module and a second injector module becomes.
- the first injector module and the second injector module adjoin each other and are arranged in the nozzle clamping nut.
- the fuel injector has at least one high-pressure bore for fuel on through the first injector module and the second injector module is guided. Further the fuel injector has at least one return bore for fuel, which is arranged in the housing.
- contact surfaces form a first column between the injector modules, which is adjacent to the high pressure hole.
- Contact areas between the nozzle clamping nut and the injector modules form one second column connected to the first column.
- Fuel that has entered the second column borders the return line to the second column.
- the fuel injector is in such a way that the second column to the environment of the Fuel injector is sealed.
- the preload force with which the injector modules are pressed against each other, in one for the material strength of the injector modules and the Nozzle clamping nut in a safe area.
- the high pressure tightness is achieved without enlargement of the installation space.
- the second column can, for example, with the help of an O-ring seal be sealed.
- the O-ring seal is for example between the nozzle clamping nut and the first injector module arranged.
- Teflon coated screw connection can be used.
- a special one good sealing can be achieved by screwing with a microencapsulated adhesive or sealant is coated. When screwing, the capsules break open and release the adhesive or sealant.
- a surface pressure can also be used to seal the second Contribute column.
- the nozzle nut a projection against which an injector module with an axial Preload force is pressed.
- the return hole can consist of at least one main hole and an adjacent relief hole, the Main bore essentially perpendicular to the contact surfaces runs between the injector modules and the relief bore laterally from the second injector module into the second column emerges.
- the return bore at least from a main bore and an adjacent relief groove consists, with the main bore essentially perpendicular to the contact surfaces between the injector modules runs and wherein the relief groove on at least one of the Contact surfaces between the injector modules introduced in this way is that the relief groove is adjacent to the second column.
- a first fuel injector provided with a housing in which a nozzle needle D, a piston K, a high pressure bore H, a return bore R and a spring F are arranged.
- the high pressure bore H is connected to the nozzle needle D such that at pulled piston K the nozzle needle D due to the pressure of fuel in the high pressure bore pushed up becomes.
- the piston K is controlled by an actuator-controlled servo valve (not shown) actuated.
- the return line R is connected to a chamber in which the piston K and a Return spring F are arranged.
- the housing consists u. a. from a first injector module I1, a second injector module I2, a third injector module I3 and a nozzle clamping nut DS.
- the injector modules I1, I2, I3 are arranged one above the other and in the nozzle clamping nut DS (see Figure 1). Through the nozzle clamping nut DS Injector modules I1, I2, I3 with a preload against each other pressed.
- the high pressure bore H is through all three injector modules I1, I2, I3 led.
- the return hole R is through the first injector module I1 guided and extends into the second injector module I2 into it.
- the nozzle clamping nut DS is connected by a screw V connected to the first injector module I1.
- the screw connection V is coated with Teflon.
- An O-ring seal O is provided below the screw connection V.
- the nozzle clamping nut DS has one in the area of the nozzle needle D. inward protrusion against which the third Injector module I3 is pressed axially.
- first column S1 Contact areas between the first injector module I1 and second injector module I2 form a first column S1. The The same applies to contact areas between the second Injector module I2 and the third injector module I3.
- the first Column S1 is connected to a second column S2 which through contact surfaces between the nozzle clamping nut DS and the Injector modules I1, I2, I3 is formed.
- the return bore R consists of a main bore HB and an adjacent relief well EB.
- the main bore HB runs essentially perpendicular to the contact surfaces between the first injector module I1 and the second injector module I2.
- the relief bore EB emerges from the side second injector module I2 and opens into the second column S2.
- the relief bore EB is fuel that comes from the High pressure bore H in the first column S1 or in the column between the second injector module and the third injector module and from there enters the second column S2. This avoids that in the second column S2 a pressure builds up that could lead to that despite measures to seal the second gap S2 to a leak comes into the vicinity of the fuel injector.
- a second Fuel injector provided which is like the first fuel injector a high pressure bore H ', a piston K', a Screw connection V ⁇ , an O-ring seal O ⁇ , a return hole R ', a spring F', a nozzle clamping nut DS ', a first Injector module I1 ', a second injector module I2', a third Injector module I3 ', a first column S1', a second column S2 'and a nozzle needle D'.
- the return bore has R 'instead of a relief bore EB a relief groove EN 'on.
- the relief groove EN ' is in the contact area of the second injector module 12 ', that of the first injector module I1 'is introduced.
- the relief groove EN ' borders the second column S2' (see Figures 2 and 3).
