Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft einen katalytisch arbeitenden Brenner, insbesondere für eine Gasturbinenanlage, mit einer Katalysator-Struktur (4). Die Katalysator-Struktur (4) weist ein hitzebeständiges Trägermaterial (10) auf, das die Wände mehrerer benachbarter Kanäle (13) bildet. Die Kanäle (13) durchdringen die Katalysator-Struktur (4) in Längsrichtung und ermöglichen eine Durchströmung der Katalysator-Struktur (4) mit einem gasförmigen Reaktionsgemisch. Zumindest ein Teil der Wände ist mit einem Katalysator beschichtet.
Um die katalytische Konversion innerhalb der Katalysator-Struktur (4) zu verbessern, sind zwischen einem Einlassende und einem Auslassende der Katalysator-Struktur (4) Verbindungsöffnung (14) in den Wänden ausgebildet. Durch die Verbindungsöffnungen (14) können benachbarte Kanäle (13) miteinander kommunizieren.
