Abstract
In der Gusseisenherstellung werden Impfmittel verwendet um die Kristallisation gezielt auf ein möglichst regelmässiges Kristallgefüge auslösen zu können. Es wird ein Zusatz zu Impfmitteln zum Animpfen von in einem Konverter mit Magnesium behandelten Gusseisenschmelzen vorgeschlagen, wobei der Zusatz im Wesentlichen aus Sauerstoffverbindungen besteht oder diese enthält, und wobei die Sauerstoffverbindungen in der Schmelze von dem Gusseisen oder von den Impfmitteln reduzierbar sind. Insbesondere die Verwendung von Zunder als Zusatz zum Impfmittel hat den Vorteil, dass an der sauerstoffarmen Schmelze aus dem Magnesiumkonverter ohne weiteren störenden Elementen Sauerstoff zugeführt werden kann.In cast iron production, inoculants are used for crystallization specifically to be able to trigger a crystal structure as regular as possible.
