Abstract

Es werden parametrische Lautsprechersysteme beschrieben, die auf FM-Modulation eines Ultraschallträgers basieren. Bekannte Systeme arbeiten mit AM-Modulation. Die FM-Modulation ergibt eine gute Anpassung an resonative Wandler wie die üblicherweise verwendeten Piezo-Keramik-Wandler. Die Resonanzflanke des Wandlers wird zur FM/AM-Umsetzung verwendet. Dieses FM-Resonanz-Prinzip läßt sich vorteilhafterweise in einem Mehrwege-Lautsprechersystem anwenden, bei dem in jedem der Wege die Wandler im optimalen Resonanzbereich arbeiten. Mit der üblichen AM-Modulation ist das nicht möglich. Das FM-Resonanz-Prinzip läßt sich auch auf resonanzfreie oder resonanzarme Wandler erweitern, wie z.B. Elektrostaten.
