Definitions
- the object of the present utility model refers to a non-return closure for sewer system ducts, the purpose of which is to avoid the return of waste water, the entrance of bad odours, as well as the access of rats and the like.
- the individual drainage ducts of the sanitary facilities terminate in a general drainage duct of the building that feeds directly into the sewer system.
- This outlet is implemented in a direct way, whereby through said outlet waste water can return in the event of floods or of heavy rain, also the bad odours typical of culverts.
- the non-return closure for sewer system ducts comprises a tubular body of cylindrical general section, finished off at one of its ends in a length of square section that terminates in an oblique open base, on which is mounted a cover that is hinged on the innermost non-oblique edge, in accordance with an axis parallel to this edge, the cover of which covers the whole open base and is provided with lateral skirts that abut against the outside, in the closed position, over the adjacent walls.
- the non-return closure for sewers comprises a tubular body (1) of cylindrical general section, finished off at one of its ends in a length of square section (2) that terminates in an oblique open base (3), on which is mounted a cover (4).
- the tubular body (1) is connected to the general drainage duct of the building by the opposed end based on a broadening of its section or collar (5).
- the cover (4) is hinged to the innermost non-oblique edge (6), in accordance with an axis parallel to said edge, so that it covers the whole oblique open base (3) in the closed position.
- said cover (4) is provided with some lateral skirts (7) that abut on the outside, in the closed position, over the adjacent walls. Therefore, the cover (4 ⁇ in its normal closed position, will prevent the return of waste water, the entrance of bad odours, as well as the access of rats.
- the opening of the cover (4) will be carried out in an automatic way by the thrust proper of the outleting flow, closing gradually as the latter diminishes.
- a rubber seal or the like can be fitted, not represented in the drawings, between the cover (4) and the edge of the oblique open base (3).

Abstract
Description
- The object of the present utility model refers to a non-return closure for sewer system ducts, the purpose of which is to avoid the return of waste water, the entrance of bad odours, as well as the access of rats and the like.
- Generally, the individual drainage ducts of the sanitary facilities terminate in a general drainage duct of the building that feeds directly into the sewer system.
- This outlet is implemented in a direct way, whereby through said outlet waste water can return in the event of floods or of heavy rain, also the bad odours typical of culverts.
- Another inconvenience of this type of outlet is that through the same, rats or other animals that inhabit culverts can gain access.
- The non-return closure for sewer system ducts that the invention proposes, resolves the aforementioned problem by having adequate means of closing.
- To this end, and in a more specific way, the non-return closure for sewer system ducts, comprises a tubular body of cylindrical general section, finished off at one of its ends in a length of square section that terminates in an oblique open base, on which is mounted a cover that is hinged on the innermost non-oblique edge, in accordance with an axis parallel to this edge, the cover of which covers the whole open base and is provided with lateral skirts that abut against the outside, in the closed position, over the adjacent walls.
- To complete the description that is being made and with the object of assisting in a better understanding of the characteristics of the invention, in accordance with an example of practical embodiment thereof, it is accompanied with a set of drawings, as an integral part of said description, drawings in which by way of illustration and not restrictively, the following are represented:
- Figure 1 shows a side view of the sewer system duct with the non-return closure constituted in accordance with the invention, with the cover open.
- Figure 2 shows a side view similar to the preceding one with the cover closed.
- Figure 3 shows a front view of the non-return closure with the cover open.
-
- In the light of the mentioned figures, it can be observed how the non-return closure for sewers comprises a tubular body (1) of cylindrical general section, finished off at one of its ends in a length of square section (2) that terminates in an oblique open base (3), on which is mounted a cover (4).
- Also, said cover (4) is provided with some lateral skirts (7) that abut on the outside, in the closed position, over the adjacent walls. Therefore, the cover (4} in its normal closed position, will prevent the return of waste water, the entrance of bad odours, as well as the access of rats.
- The opening of the cover (4) will be carried out in an automatic way by the thrust proper of the outleting flow, closing gradually as the latter diminishes.
- To assure the closure, a rubber seal or the like can be fitted, not represented in the drawings, between the cover (4) and the edge of the oblique open base (3).
Claims (1)
- Non-return closure for sewer system ducts, characterised in that it comprises a tubular body (1) of cylindrical general section, finished at one of its ends in a length of square seccion (2) that terminates in an oblique open base (3), on which is monted a cover (4) that is hinged to the innermost non oblique edge (6), in accordance with an axis parallel to said edge, the cover of which covers the whole open base and is provided with lateral skirts (7) that abut on the outside, in the closed position, against the adjacent walls.
