Slitters are used in particular for cutting aluminum foils and strips but also for cutting composites of aluminum and paper and of aluminum and plastic and for cutting other films, tapes and composite materials in a thickness range of a few microns to about one mm. The films or ribbons to be cut can be both bright and painted. The composites to be cut are produced, for example, by laminating or extruding.
Furthermore, the lower blade shaft according to the invention or the roller cutting machine according to the invention is exemplified by the cutting of aluminum foils or strips explained. Under aluminum or aluminum materials are understood alloys that contain about at least 90% aluminum.
For the production of aluminum foils and strips, billets in widths between 900 and 2200 mm are poured in a first stage and rolled first to warm and finally cold to final thickness. Depending on the intended use in subsequent processing, the aluminum semi-finished products industry produces the aluminum foils and strips in various final thicknesses and widths. The final thickness is determined by the Stichabnahmen in the rolling process. The final width is produced in one or more layers by slitting the strips or films on what are known as slitter-cutting machines.
- 1. an unwinder on which the so-called mother tape is wound up,
- 2. a cutting section in which the strip is cut by knives lengthwise into narrower strips and
- 3. a winding in which the previously cut strips are wound into rolls.
The present invention also relates in particular to the so-called paper cut method. Here, the tape or the film is passed over a lower knife shaft with a certain wrap. An immersed in the lower blade shaft upper blade, which, for example, either as a razor blade or as Circular blade is formed, the aluminum cuts in one point in the manner of a scissors or knife cut. The upper blade is conventionally pressed by a spring against the lower blade. Newer methods use instead of a spring pneumatic cylinder or diaphragm cylinder.
When slitting films or tapes, the cutting widths for the tapes to be cut must be adjusted regularly. For this purpose, the upper blade must first be set to the new cutting widths, which is possible with relatively little effort in a short time. In addition to the adaptation of the upper blade to the cutting widths and the lower blade shaft must be adapted to the new cutting widths. For this purpose, in the known slitter rewinder, the entire lower blade shaft must be changed to incorporate a lower blade shaft, on which the lower blade are arranged on the, corresponding to the new cutting width axial position on the lower blade shaft. For this purpose, fitting pieces are arranged between the lower blades on the lower blade shaft to produce the required distances. This causes a considerable amount of setup time and thus high costs.
From the catalog "Wheels Cutting Technology" of the Wilhelm Bielstein KG a generic lower knife shaft for paper cutting is known, which has a minimum groove width of 2.2 mm.
A lower blade shaft, which has only one side of the springs of a tongue and groove division cutting edges, is known from Swiss Patent CH 288 737.
Based on the prior art described above and the associated problems, the present invention is based on the object to provide a lower blade shaft or a slitter cutting machine, with which the set-up times for producing modified cutting widths and the use of other cutting methods are substantially reduced.
The previously derived and indicated object is achieved for a Untermessewelle for a slitter for slitting films and tapes in strips with at least one lower blade, characterized in that the lower blades are formed as two-sided cutting edges on the springs of a tongue and groove division of the lower blade shaft, said Cutting edges have a cutting angle of about 3 degrees and the grooves have a width of 0.8 to 2 mm, so that the Untertondernerwelle is useful for both the paper cutting method and for the razor blade cutting method. Characterized in that the lower blade shaft lower blade are arranged so that they allow a flexible choice of the width of zuzuschneidenden strips, it is ensured that a change of the slitter can be made to changed cutting widths without downtime for conversions to the lower blade shaft. It only need the much easier to handle upper blade relative to the, adapted to the changed cutting width lower blades are properly positioned to produce the next cutting section with the desired changed cutting widths. The significantly reduced set-up times result in a much higher utilization of the machine running time, which in turn leads to significantly reduced costs for the cutting process.
The distance between the arranged on a lower blade shaft according to the invention lower blade can be reduced by the fact that the lower blade are formed alternately as a lower blade for left and right section. A reduced distance of the lower blade ensures a more flexible adaptation to desired cutting widths.
The alternate arrangement of lower blades for left and right cuts can be particularly suitable in that the lower blade as a double-sided Cutting edges are formed on the springs of a tongue and groove division of the lower blade shaft.
Characterized in that, according to a further embodiment of the lower blade shaft according to the invention, the lower blade shaft has a plurality of cutting bushings and the cutting bushings each having a plurality of lower blades, it is ensured that at a wear of the lower blade in certain areas of the lower blade shaft not the entire lower blade shaft must be replaced. In a lower blade shaft designed in this way, the cutting bushes, which have a particularly high degree of wear, can be exchanged, while the cutting bushes having no or less wear can continue to be used.
In order to ensure the most flexible possible setting of the cutting widths, it makes sense that the lower blade are arranged at a distance of about 0.5 to 10 mm from each other. Particularly advantageous is the arrangement (division) of the cutting edges at a distance of about 0.8 to 2 mm from each other.
In particular, when cutting aluminum foils, it is useful to keep the groove widths as low as possible in view of the possible forcing of the lower knife shaft profile on the aluminum foil to be cut. In this case, a groove width in the range of 0.8 to 2 mm has proven to be particularly suitable in terms of low pressure and in view of the provision of sufficient space for immersion of an upper blade.
Finally, the above-derived and pointed out object is achieved by a slitter for longitudinal slitting of films and tapes in strips with a lower blade shaft according to the invention and at least two dipping into the lower blade shaft upper blades.
