Abstract

The invention concerns an improved system for maintaining a tie on a shirt. It concerns an improved system for securely and aesthetically fixing a tie on a shirt, in a practical manner without damaging either the tie or the shirt. In its preferred embodiment, the improved system comprises: a free-end slip-in sleeve (13), that is a free-end passage provided on its height with several slip-in sleeves (16), an elastic tie pin (14). In order to fix the tie on the shirt, the wearer selects a slip-in sleeve (16) of the free-end slip-in sleeve (13) not located opposite a button of the shirt. Said slip-in sleeve is used for positioning the pin (14) on the tie. Then the front opening of the shirt (10) is positioned and clasped in the pin (14).

Description

1.1. DOMAINE DE L'INVENTIONFIELD OF THE INVENTION

The present invention relates to an improved system for securing a tie on a shirt in a safe, aesthetic, practical and without damage to the tie or the shirt.

2. DESCRIPTION DE L'ART ANTERIEUR2. DESCRIPTION OF THE PRIOR ART

The conventional tie, when tied around the shirt collar, hangs a large pan and a small piece of tie. It is customary for the manufacturer to sew on his two vertical edges a strip of fabric behind the large section of the tie. To characterize the element that occupies the function of this web of cloth, we will use the name of "pan pass ". The little part of the tie, when it has passed between the "pan-pass" and the large part of the tie, becomes invisible to the eye. The tie then plays its full aesthetic role but can be very annoying when the wearer leans forward or when there is wind. It can even become dangerous when it risks for example to get stuck in a machine.

To master this problem and keep the tie centered in the middle of the shirt, a widely used method is to use a tie clip mounted with a return spring. This tie clip will pinch the large pan of the tie and the front opening of the shirt. It has the very important disadvantages of breaking the aesthetics of the tie and damaging the shirt.

Many ways have been proposed to solve the problems mentioned above.

Another object of the prior art is the fact of the French patent FR-2 714 268. It describes a tie clip system permanently connected to the large section of the tie at medium of two chains. The clip makes it possible to fix the tie loosely at the front of the shirt.

This system, however, has the disadvantages:
  • to embarrass the user when he knots his tie
  • not being able to indifferently attach the tie to a shirt with a front opening left or right
  • to be visible when using it
  • to require the holder to use the system even if the circumstances do not require it.

Other systems have been developed on the basis of a centered hold of the tie using the buttons of the shirt.

For example, the object of the prior art described in United States Patent No. WD-93/00835. The system that is developed allows to fix a horizontal strip of fabric, sliding vertically along the large section of the tie, at a button of the shirt.

Ces systèmes présentent cependant l'inconvénient de ne pas pouvoir être utilisés avec des chemises sans bouton apparentThese systems however have the disadvantage of not being able to be used with shirts without apparent button

Le document DE-9414762 décrit quant à lui un système correspondant au préambule de la revendication 1.Document DE-9414762 describes a system corresponding to the preamble of claim 1.

RESUME DE L'INVENTIONSUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

La présente invention concerne un passe-pan destiné à être fixé sur une cravate, conforme au libellé de la revendication 1.The present invention relates to a pan pass intended to be fixed on a tie, according to the wording of claim 1.

The invention also relates to a tie according to the wording of claim 6, as well as a system consisting of a tie and a clip according to the wording of claim 7.

The improved system comprises an improved "pan-pass" and an independent clamp, both provided with attachment means which are complementary, non-permanent and which maintain the clamp positioned on the tie.

The " pan pass" allows attachment of the clamp at one or more height levels of the tie and gives the possibility to the wearer to orient and fix the clamp according to a shirt opening on the left or right.

In its preferred form the improved system comprises:
  • a "sheath pan pass" (13), ie a "pan pass" provided on its height with one or more sleeves (16),
  • an elastic tie clip (14) and independent of the tie.

It inserts the inner plate (18) of the clamp (14) at the same time as it enters the front liner opening (10) between the inner plate (18) and the inner clamp arms (28), ( 29), (26), (34).

The present invention adapts to any type of shirt, button apparent or not, opening shirt left or right.

Once the tie is in place, the invention is not visible and respects the aesthetics of the tie.

The invention does not damage the tie or the shirt with, for example, excessive pinching.

The invention is easy to use and does not bother the wearer when making his tie knot or when for example it is ironed.

The materials used to make the " sheath pan pass" are those used on a conventional tie. They respect the fabric of the tie.

DESCRIPTION DETAILLEE DES FORMES PREFEREES DE REALISATIONDETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS

The present invention is an improved system for centrally attaching a tie to a shirt that has or has no visible buttons, whether its front opening is left or right.

In its preferred embodiments, the improved system of the present invention comprises two distinct elements: the "sheath pan pass" (13) shown in Figs. 1,2,4,5,6,7,8 and the resilient clamp (14) shown in Figures 3,4,5.

The " sheath pan pass" (13) is made from fabric such as that commonly used to make pan passes.

Une fixation sur toute la hauteur du « passe-pan fourreau » permet d'éviter de confondre, lors de la mise en place de la pince (14), l'ouverture (17) d'un fourreau (16) et le bord du « passe-pan fourreau » (13).The fixing of the "sheath pan pass" (13) on the back of the large part of the tie (11), a possible representation of which is made in FIG. 2, can be done either over its entire height (23) or in a certain number of points (24). A fixation over the entire height of the "sheath pan pass" makes it possible to avoid confusing the opening (17) of a sheath (16) and the edge of the sheath when the clamp (14) is fitted. "Sheath pass" (13).

The "sheath pan pass" (13) is fixed on the back of the large part of the tie (11) so that there is sufficient space between the two for the passage of the small part of the tie (12). The small part of the tie (12) will be maintained on the back of the large part of the tie.

The "sheath pan pass" (13) is made from one or more tissue overlays, two possible representations of which are shown in FIGS. 6 and 7.

The spacing between two sleeves will be different from that between two shirt buttons to be able to attach the tie to the shirt even if one of the sleeves is facing a button. The shapes of the sleeves will preferably be obtained with seams (33). Other methods of obtaining these sheaths will use weaving and welding.

Cette plaque intérieure (18) est guidée et positionnée sur le "passe-pan fourreau" (13) grâce au fourreau (16).Each sheath (16) comprises two openings (17), each at one end of the sheath (16), for inserting either the left or the right, the inner plate (18) of the clamp (14) in the sheath ( 16). This inner plate (18) is guided and positioned on the "sheath pan pass" (13) through the sheath (16).

The outer fabric (20) provides an ideal surface for displaying the maker's mark or writings.

Finishing with the seam (22) or any other means, the "sheath pan pass" (13), gives it a visual homogeneity and facilitate its use.

A simplified form of the "pan pass", which is not covered by the claims, consists in using one or more notches (35) on the "pan pass", like those shown in FIG. 8, to reproduce the function the sleeve (16).

The clip (14) has at least one outer plate (25) adapted to be inserted into the opening of the sleeve, and an inner plate (18) disposed substantially parallel to the outer plate (25) and adapted to be inserted in a fastening means located on the back of the large pan (11) of the tie. This fixing means may be a sheath.

The clip (14), as shown in Figures 4 and 5, serves to secure the tie element plus "sheath sleeve" (13) on the shirt.

After having made the knot of his tie in a conventional manner, the subject passes the small part of the tie (12) between the "sheath pan pass" (13) and the back of the large tie pan (11). He chooses one of the sleeves (16) of the "sheath pan pass" (13) so as not to be in front of a shirt button. It introduces through one of its two openings (17) the inner plate (18) of the clamp (14). It then advances the front liner opening (10) to the gripper opening (30) and then inserts the liner opening (10) between the inner gripper arms (26), (28), (29), and ), (34) and the inner plate (18). The outer plate (25) of the clamp (14) is thus found between the front liner opening (10) and the rear jacket opening (15).

After adjustment the tie will be held on the shirt centrally.

The improved system of the present invention will remain invisible and the tie will retain its natural aesthetic.

The choice between the two openings (17) of the sleeve (16) allows the wearer to orient the clamp, when fixed, according to a shirt opening on the left or right.

The clip, because it is added at the last moment, does not interfere with the realization of the tie knot.

The clamping mode used by the clamp (14) that the latter does not damage the shirt or the tie.

The materials required to manufacture the "sheath pan pass" are those commonly used to manufacture the "pass pan". They respect the quality and the image of a silk tie, which would not be the case of any system using plastic or VELCRO®.

To remove his tie, the subject starts by pulling the clip (14) from the sleeve (16). The following operations are those performed with a conventional tie.

In its preferred embodiment, the clamp (14) is made from a thin elastic plate by cutting, bending and stamping shape.

The clip (14) is composed of an inner plate (18), a series of inner clamp arms (26), (28), (29), (34) an outer plate (25) and a a curved end (31).

L'autre extrémité forme une ouverture de pince (30).The outer plate (25) and the inner plate (18) are preferably arranged substantially parallel. They are connected by the curved end (31). The other end forms a gripper opening (30).

The inner (18) and outer (25) plates can be cut, bent and stamped into original shapes.

The outer plate (25) and the inner plate (18) can accommodate the trademark or any other writing.

The gripper opening (30) facilitates the positioning of the liner opening (10) in the gripper by means of its gripper arm (28).

The point of contact (27) between the clamp arms (28) and (29) substantially touches or touches the inner plate (18). It exerts during the use of the clamp a clamping force on the front opening of the liner (10) and the fabric of the sheath (16).

It will also increase, when stressed, the pressure at the point of contact (27). The end of the clamp arm (26) closest to the curved end (31) is in contact or almost in contact with the inner plate (18).

When the front jacket opening (10) has a double thickness over a short length, which is a majority of cases, the point of contact (27) will also play the rote of clips. To cross the point of contact (27), in order to separate the tie from the shirt, the inclination of the clamp arm (29) relative to the inner plate (18) allows a gradual effort.

The clamp arm (34) extends from the end of the inner clamp arm (26) closest to the inner plate (18). It forms with the inner plate (18) an inner opening of the clamp.

The clamp arm (34) facilitates the setting and removal of the clamp (14) in the sheath by preventing the clamp from catching the fabric of the sheath (16) or the front opening (10) of the sheath.

Roundings (32) are made on the inner plate (18) of the clamp at the clamp opening (30). These rounds can avoid snags with elements of the tie.

The preferred embodiments presented with this invention do not limit the invention to these and modifications may be made within the scope of the following claims.
