Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a projectile with a shell and a front with the
Bullet casing can be connected via a screw connection to the head igniter according to the characteristics
of the preamble of
Artillery shells are often without a detonator on the respective procurer of the corresponding Ammunition delivered, with a so-called lifting ring screw instead of the detonator screwed into the internal thread (mouth hole thread) of the projectile casing becomes. To avoid corrosion, the thread with silicone grease becomes generous pocketed. A flat rubber ring seals against moisture. The massive lifting ring locking screw can always be tightened with sufficient torque be, so that there is a reliable seal to the interior of the floor. The The head fuse is screwed into the projectile casing only immediately before use of the projectile, z.T. even just before firing in the firing position, so that Selection of the detonator (time detonator, concrete breaker detonator, etc.) to meet specific needs of the respective application can be aligned.
In connection with new logistics concepts, artillery shells are increasingly required to be delivered to the respective customer with a detonator. In addition to its previous function, the detonator must therefore close the projectile in the target area ignite or bring to effect, also the function, the projectile during storage and reliably seal and transport against ingress of moisture, the connection being subjected to the usual stresses (temperature changes, vibrations etc.) must withstand. This is currently achieved in that commercial sealing Anaerobically curing sealants are used, some of which at the same time as Belay means work. The respective sealant or securing agent is used before Screwed together applied to the external thread of the igniter.
A disadvantage of these bullets provided with a preassembled head detonator is, however, that disassembly of the igniter after curing of the sealant hardly is more possible because the adhesive force in the thread is so high that a non-destructive It is usually not possible to detach the igniter. Because those commonly used today Head detonators have a heavy-duty external thread, but they do there is a connection between the rear part of the Detonator and the detonator tip also via a screw connection, which when unscrewing of the detonator can be damaged relatively easily due to the large starting torques can.
The present invention has for its object a floor of the aforementioned Specify type, the top match is easily replaced by a new one Detonator - for example, still in the combat position by the appropriate soldier exchange leaves. A method for producing such a projectile is also intended be disclosed.
This object is achieved with respect to the projectile by the features of
The invention is essentially based on the idea that between the external thread and the mouth thread not a hardening compound as a sealant as before, but a permanently elastic sealant is arranged. For this, the permanently elastic Sealant e.g. applied in viscous form to the external thread of the igniter. The detonator can then be used or at a suitable later time (e.g. after several months) are screwed onto the shell. This completes the thread gap between the outer and outer threads of the projectile filled in and gives a good sealing effect, without the detachability of the igniter to affect negatively.
The use of the permanently elastic sealant also has the advantage that existing igniter can still be used. A change in A connection between the rear part of the igniter and the igniter tip is therefore not necessary.
In practice, permanently elastic sealants have proven to be particularly advantageous remain elastic even at a temperature of -50 ° C.
Pre-coated detonators can be screwed to the shell immediately or up to be stored for several years at room temperature.
As has also been shown in practice, permanently elastic sealants have in the thread gap good damping properties, so that if necessary during transport of the corresponding Ammunition vibrations not to loosen the screw connection leads.
It has also been shown that after completely loosening the screw connection between Bullet casing and detonator the elements to be screwed depending on the product can be screwed together several times without losing the sealing effect goes.
Finally, if a permanently elastic sealant is used, it can also be reworked storeys already available in the depot with lifting ring locking screws easy to implement in storeys with detonators. Because while that Sealing a detonator using a hardening sealant presupposes that both Threads must be clean and free of grease and therefore especially after unscrewing the lifting ring locking screw on the silicone grease that is always on the mouth thread must be eliminated in a relatively complex manner (because otherwise the curing process can be influenced by the silicone grease) is such a removal of the silicone grease not necessary if a permanently elastic sealant is used. Rather, only the thread to which the sealant is to be applied (usually the external thread of the igniter), be clean and free of grease.
