Definitions
- the present invention relates to the technical field of overconditioning preconditioned products that should be able to be packaged or presented, generally in unitary state, in order to facilitate the perception for the customers, storage and presentation on the shelves or gondolas for sale.
- the first proposals were based on the constitution of a shaped case tubular casing whose transverse ends can be closed by folding of flaps to define a confinement volume in which a product, generally unitary and preconditioned, is arranged.
- Another object of the invention is to propose a blank for the constitution of the packaging case, blank which can be made from a sheet of material first without producing a high drop and at a relatively unit cost price low.
- the packaging case according to the invention is characterized in that it is constituted by an envelope with four sides internally comprising two successive, separate compartments, each opening substantially set back from one of the transverse ends of the envelope, communicating in the extension of one another, one called “reception”, having a constant cross section smaller than that of the envelope, while the other says “guide”, has a cross section substantially equal to that of envelope but decreasing to an internal open cross section communicating with the receiving compartment.
- Fig. 1 is a developed plan view of a blank according to the invention for obtaining a packaging case.
- Fig. 2 is a perspective highlighting certain operational phases of the constitution of the case from the blank according to FIG. 1.
- Figs. 3 and 4 are transverse views taken substantially along planes III-III and IV-IV of FIG. 2.
- Fig. 5 is a developed plan view of the blank according to FIG. 1 but illustrating an alternative embodiment.
- Fig. 6 is a transverse view, similar to FIG. 3, but highlighting the constructive characteristic falling within the blank according to FIG. 5.
- Fig. 1 represents a precut blank, generally designated by the reference 1 and produced from a sheet of suitable raw material, such as compact cardboard or even polypropylene.
- Fig. 1 shows the blank 1 seen from its so-called internal face, that is to say that which, after conformation, will define the interior of the packaging case obtained.
- the blank 1, of generally rectangular shape has four fold lines 2, 3, 4 and 5, which are marked parallel to each other to define four panels 6, 7, 8 and 9, of generally rectangular shape, the panels 6 and 8 being called “intermediate", while the panels 7 and 9 are called “main”.
- the panels 6 to 9 are arranged alternately and, in the example illustrated, the panels 6 and 8 have the same width l which is however less than the width L, which is also identical to the panels 7 and 9.
- the panels 6 to 9 are intended to allow, by the formation of the fold lines 2, 3, 4 and 5, the constitution of a casing of tubular nature whose open transverse ends can be closed by means of flaps 10 provided foldable tabs 11 and which extend, beyond fold lines 12, at the end of the main panels 7 and 9, for example. Closing the transverse ends can also involve the presence of flaps 13 extending beyond fold lines 14 marking the transverse ends of the intermediate panels 6 and 8. As can be seen in FIG. 1 , the transverse fold lines 12 and 14 are marked in the same alignment substantially, being perpendicular to lines 2 to 5.
- the blank 1 is provided with an extension 15 which extends beyond the fold line 5 called, for this reason, "hinge".
- the extension 15 comprises a connecting strip 16 beyond which extend two parts 17 and 18 which are separated from each other by a cut 19 of general transverse nature, executed according to a broken line trace.
- the first portion 17 is hinged to the connecting strip 16 by a fold line 20 parallel to the marked line 5 between a transverse edge 21 and the cutout 19.
- the portion 17 has a second fold line 22 marked parallel to the line 20, between the transverse edge 21 and the projecting angle 23 formed by the cutout 19.
- the lines 20 and 22 define, in the first part 17, a rectangular panel 24 whose width L 1 is less than the width L of a main panel, such as 9.
- the first part 17 has a plywood line 25 which is marked, parallel to the line 22, to define a strip 26 whose width l 1 is identical to width l 2 of the strip 16 between the fold lines 5 and 20.
- the width l 2 is less than the width l of an intermediate panel, such as the panel 8.
- the folding line 25 defines, in the first part 17, an extreme bonding tab 27 which carries, on its inner face, that is to say that corresponding to FIG. 1 , an adhesive product capable of ensuring its connection with the zone 27 1 of the main panel 9.
- the zone 27 1 can also be provided with a layer of adhesive to replace that carried by the adhesive tab 27.
- the second part 18 extends beyond a fold and articulation line 30 which is marked to delimit, in the corresponding part, the connecting strip 16.
- the line 30 is marked, starting from the corresponding transverse edge 31 of the second part 18, in order to be inclined, in the direction of the cut, in a broken line 19, in such a way that the width l 3 of the connecting strip, taken at the transverse edge 31, is substantially equal or very slightly less than the width 1 of an intermediate panel, such as the panel 8.
- the second part 18 has a second fold line 32 which has the characteristic of being inclined in a convergent manner relative to the line 30 in the direction of the cut 19.
- the fold lines 30 and 32 thus delimit a trapezoidal panel 33 , the small base 34 of which is partially delimited by the cutout 19 and has a width less than l 4 than the width L 1 of the rectangular panel 24 of the first pa rtie 17.
- the width L 2 of the large base of the trapezoidal panel 33 is substantially equal, or even slightly less, to the width L of a main panel, such as 9.
- the fold line 32 is marked, in the second part 18, so as to delimit an end wing 35 of also trapezoidal shape, the small base of which ends at the projecting angle of the cutout 19 in broken line.
- the parts 17 and 18 can be considered independent and capable of being folded each separately on the part of the corresponding folding and articulation line, that is to say 20 for the first part 17 and 30 for the second part 18.
- the fold and articulation line 5 is formed to raise, in the direction of the arrow f 1 ( fig. 2 ), the connecting strip 16 relative to the adjacent main panel 9.
- the fold line 20 is formed to place the rectangular panel 24 substantially parallel to the main panel 9 and at a distance from the latter.
- the fold line 22 is then also formed in the same direction, so that the strip 26 is oriented substantially at right angles to the internal face of the panel 9.
- the fold line 25 is marked on the reverse of the direction of the fold lines 20 and 22, so as to form the bonding tab 27 made integral, by the adhesive means provided or any other equivalent means, with the internal face of the main panel 9.
- the conformation, as said above, of the first part 17 results in delimiting a compartment C 1 whose height and width are less than the widths L of the panel 9 and l of the intermediate panel 8.
- the fold line 30 is formed to fold the trapezoidal panel 33 substantially parallel to the main panel 9, then the fold line 32 is then formed to orient the wing 35 towards the internal face of the panel main 9.
- an opening of the cut in broken line 19 occurs at the same time as the constitution of a compartment C 2 which, although of rectangular cross section, is in the form of a pseudo-funnel whose large open base extends substantially in the plane or set back from the corresponding transverse end of the future case and whose small open base is close to the corresponding open entry section of the compartment C 1 by presenting, as appears from FIGS . 3 and 4 , a so-called "internal" section 40, smaller than the rectangular cross section of the compartment C 1 .
- the small base of the compartment C 2 is, in part, located inside the inlet section of the compartment C 1 .
- compartment C 2 The main function of compartment C 2 is to guide a unitary product which would be engaged in the direction of the arrow f 2 . Such a guiding and centering function results from the funnel-shaped conformation of the compartment C 2 which leads in a certain, centered and guided manner, the unit product to be packaged in the direction of the receiving compartment C 1 .
- compartment C 2 can be twofold when the unit product to be packaged has an adapted conformation, for example analogous to that of a tube whose cross section corresponding to the bottom is wider than the cross section corresponding to the opening. access, for example closed by a removable plug.
- a later phase of forming the case then consists in marking the fold line 4, then the lines 3 and 2, so as to roll up the corresponding panels 8, 7 and 6, in the direction of the arrow f 3 , to place the intermediate panel 8 parallel to the connecting strip 16, the main panel 7 parallel to the panel 9 and the intermediate panel 6 against the outer face of the connecting strip 16 on which this panel is fixed by any suitable means, such as interposition of a layer of adhesive product.
- the wrapping of the various panels to constitute the perimeter tubular envelope of the definitive case can occur before or after filling and this wrapping is then followed by the folding of the flaps 10 and of the tongues 11, or even beforehand of the flaps 13, so as to close the transverse ends of the envelope, which closures also seal the cross-sections of the compartments C 1 and C 2 .
- the transverse edges 21 and 31 of the parts 17 and 18 are produced so that, after conformation, the extreme transverse cross sections of the compartments C 1 and C 2 extend substantially back with respect to the open transverse ends of the envelope perimeter, which are determined by the alignments of the fold lines 12 and 14 , in particular.
- Fig. 5 shows an alternative embodiment in which the fold line 32 of the second part 18 is marked between two cutouts 41 and 42 , which are executed inside the trapezoidal panel 33, respectively from the transverse edge 31 and from the cutout broken line 19, so as to provide, respectively, a tab 43 and a heel 44.
- the execution characteristic of the cutouts 41 and 42 is to define an alignment 45 between the ends of the tab 41 and the heel 44, so as to give the wing 35, no longer a trapezoidal shape as in the example according to FIG. 1, but a rectangular shape whose total width l 5 is then close to or very slightly less than the width l of an intermediate panel such as 8.
- compartment C 2 is always carried out, as in the previous example, by folding lines 30 and 32 and results in leaving, in the plane of the wing 35, the tab 43 and the heel 44 which, as illustrated in fig . 6 , then come to be interposed between the internal faces of the main panels 9 and 7 for which they constitute anti-crushing spacers.
- the blank according to FIG. 1 or fig. 5 is in a relatively simple form, cut, creased and flat and can be obtained, at low cost, with a low drop rate in a sheet of raw material, such as compact cardboard.
- the conformation of the extension 15 and, in particular, the constitution of the two parts 17 and 18, make it possible, in an automatic machine, to form the compartments C 1 and C 2 , the succession of which provides the guiding of the lining, which can also be carried out in an automatic machine by engagement of a unitary product preconditioned in the direction of arrow f 2 from the large open base of the funnel C 2 .
- the blank according to FIG. 1 or fig. 5 is suitable for automatic machine formation of the perimeter envelope by the panels 6, 7, 8 and 9 which surround the compartments C 1 and C 2 .
- Another advantage of the structural arrangement according to the invention lies in the fact that the preconditioned unit product can, depending on the form it adopts, be extracted, indifferently, from one or other of the compartments C 1 or C 2 .
