Abstract

The invention relates to a light diffuser, consisting of a holding mechanism and, releasably connected thereto, an inflatable sack that is at least partially translucent, wherein the holding mechanism comprises an adapter ring that at one end serves for attachment to a spotlight and at the other end as a receptable of the sack, and furthermore the adapter ring is closed off at the attachment end so as to be translucent and pressure sealed, and at the holding mechanism means are provided for supply of a gaseous filling medium. Claims (14)

  1. Light diffuser (1) consisting of a holding device (4) and an at least partly light-permeable inflatable bag (3) releasably connected to the holding device (4), wherein the holding device (4) comprises an adapter ring, one side being for fastening to a spotlight (2) and the other side being for holding the bag (3), wherein furthermore the adapter ring is closed off, light-permeably and pressure-tight, to the fastening side, and wherein means are provided at the holding device (4) for supply of a gaseous filling medium,
    characterised in that
    at the adapter ring there are arranged a compressed gas connection (6) and an electronically actuatable valve for the gas supply, a first pressure sensor (7) ascertaining the internal pressure that builds up in the case of a bag (3) fixed to the ring and, when an adjustable maximum pressure value has been reached, sending a switch-off signal to the valve in order to terminate or interrupt filling automatically.
