Definitions

  • the invention relates to a light diffuser, comprising a holding device and a releasably connected to the holding device, at least partially translucent, inflatable bag, wherein the holding device comprises an adapter ring on the one hand for attachment to a headlight and on the other hand for receiving the bag, further, the adapter ring to the mounting side translucent and pressure-tight is completed and provided on the holding device means for supplying a gaseous filling medium, according to the preamble of patent claim 1.
  • PCT WO00 / 16005 discloses a lighting device comprising a headlamp and an inflatable bag releasably connected thereto, wherein the bag consists of a material which is at least partially permeable to light and a transparent light inlet opening is present on the bag. This light entrance opening is arranged opposite a light exit opening of a headlamp, so that a corresponding light entry is ensured.
  • the light entrance opening of the inflatable bag is defined by a transparent glass sheet or a transparent film which is airtightly connected along its peripheral edge to the edge of a corresponding opening in the bag. When inflated, the bag assumes a substantially cylindrical, spherical or hemispherical shape, but also the shape of a cone or a truncated cone.
  • the filling of the bag is carried out by means of a fan and corresponding gas inlet openings, which are connectable to this blower.
  • a valve for filling the bag can now be attached either to the bag itself or in the area of a holding device to perform the filling.
  • the filling itself is not without problems.
  • relatively small differences in pressure are sufficient to transform the bag into a taut form, and on the other hand, refilling or refilling the bag with gas must be possible in the shortest possible time in rotating pauses, without the need for complicated handling.
  • maximum pressure values are not exceeded in order to prevent, for example, tearing off and throwing away the airbag.
  • a likewise known illumination device has a closed luminescent screen surface which is inflated by a fan and illuminated by a light source located inside the luminescent screen surface.
  • the umbrella itself is on a pedestal or stand attached.
  • the local device requires a continuous operation of the fans, with the result of unavoidable noise developments and the above-mentioned disadvantages when using such a device for film and television recordings.
  • a light diffuser consisting of a holding device and a releasably connected to the holding device, at least partially air-permeable, inflatable bag so that an optimized and secure filling is not possible from this specially trained personnel.
  • the system as a whole accordingly pressure-tight, so that a longer use without filling or refilling activities, especially for film and television recordings, is possible.
  • the basic idea of the invention is to design a pressure gas connection and an electronically operable valve for supplying gas to the holding device designed as an adapter ring, wherein a first pressure sensor determines the build-up internal pressure when the sack is fixed to the ring and delivers a switch-off signal if an adjusting or predetermined maximum pressure value is reached, so that the filling of the bag is automatically completed, regardless of whether and to what extent a button for actuating the valve is still active or not.
  • the button can be manually activated as mentioned for gas filling or gas refilling, which is provided according to the invention for an automatic quasi final shutdown.
  • a further preferred embodiment of the invention is based on a second sensor for detecting the ambient pressure, so that a switch-off signal based on a predeterminable differential pressure value between internal and external pressure, i. atmospheric pressure is derivable.
  • the last-mentioned embodiment has the particular advantage that a correction of the maximum pressure value is not required, in particular when recording at different heights of normal zero. It has been shown that even relatively low inflation pressures for a tight shape of the bag in the inflated state are sufficient and higher pressure values bring no further advantages, but rather entail an increased risk of accidents. Since light diffusers of the type described are fundamentally applicable for mobile use and are used at very different locations, automatic valve deactivation and pressure control on the basis of differential pressure values are particularly advantageous.
  • a further compressed gas connection can be provided for the series connection of multiple light diffusers on the adapter ring, so that only a central gas supply is required and the filling gas can be looped analogous to the electrical supply of an associated electric headlight.
  • the one or more pressure gas connections are connected via pressure hoses with a spatially remotely located pressure accumulator or a pressure compressor.
  • a compressor can be switched from the pressure generating to a suction operation. In this way, the time and thus costs can be saved in an advantageous manner when dismantling or remodeling the lighting devices.
  • the compressed gas connections can also lead to a gas storage tank.
  • the on-site use of a compressor, especially under difficult local conditions, is not required.
  • the adapter ring In order to improve the sealing of the bag receptacle on the adapter ring, the adapter ring in a bag-side area surrounding beads with projections and recesses, which serve to fix a surface structure side corresponding profile seal.
  • the profile seal is now pushed over the free end of the adapter ring. Subsequently, the bag is placed with its opening side on the profile seal and pressure-tight, but easily releasably secured by means of a clamping ring or clamping band on the adapter ring.
  • the light diffuser 1 which is completed with a headlight 2, comprises an airbag 3 and a holding device 4 arranged between the headlight 2 and the sack 3 in the manner of an adapter ring.
  • the holding device 4 can now be attached to the headlight 2 via a flange-like projection 8, retaining bracket 9 and ring 13.
  • the headlight 2 itself is pivotally fixed via a holder 10 to a frame, not shown.
  • a translucent disk 12 is pressure-tightly fixed in the adapter ring 4, so that there is a corresponding airtight space when the bag is mounted.
  • a compressed gas connection 6 is further arranged with an electronically actuated valve for gas supply.
  • the building up internal pressure is determined with the bag connected and a shutdown signal to the electronic valve, if a predefinable maximum pressure value is reached.
  • a second sensor 11 is used to detect the ambient pressure, so that a shutdown signal on the basis of a differential pressure value inside / outside can be derived.
  • the electronic switching valve which is executable combined with the compressed gas connection 6, can be activated manually via a switch, not shown, for gas filling or gas refilling.
  • the bag is then slipped over the bag receiving side 16 and held releasably by means of a tension band 17.
  • valves For easy emptying can be incorporated in the bag 3 still a valve with a large opening area.
  • Such valves are known for example from the dinghy technology, so that further explanations are unnecessary.
  • Ausgestaltend the bag can be inside at least partially provided with light reflection zones or color layers, so that lighting effects can be optimized depending on the application.
  • a valve with a large opening cross-section or a screw opening is mounted in the adapter ring. This valve or opening is used to quickly empty the bag, but can also be used to pre-fill with the help of a blower connected there.
  • an electrical remote control unit can be formed, which has a preferably optical signal unit, for example in the form of an LED.
  • the light diffuser presented makes it possible, in a particularly simple and reliable manner, to fill an airbag which is fastened to a corresponding adapter ring, without the filling process itself having to be monitored in a complex manner at the location of the film.
