Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft einen Kolben für eine Brennkraftmaschine, wobei der Kolben aus einem Basisteil (1) und einem daran angebrachten Ringabschnitt (3) besteht und das Basisteil (1) mit dem Ringabschnitt (3) einen Kühlkanal (7) bildet. Dem Kühlkanal (7) wird über eine Öffnung ein Kühlmedium zugeführt. Dieser Kolben ist dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß nach der Endbearbeitung des Kolbens zwischen dem Basisteil (1) und dem Ringabschnitt (3) zumindest eine Öffnung, insbesondere ein umlaufender Spalt (6), vorhanden ist.
