Definitions

  • the invention relates to the use of aqueous cleaning agent concentrates based on non-ionic, anionic, amphoteric surfactants, optionally with the use of customary auxiliaries and additives, which is characterized in that they contain alkoxylated amine compounds as cleaning enhancers for cleaning porcelain stoneware tiles.
  • stoneware stands for hard-fired tiles, which can be glazed or unglazed with or without a fired ceramic surface coating. According to the DIN standard, there is a subdivision based on water absorption capacity and type of production. DIN EN 176 defines stoneware and porcelain stoneware tiles.
  • the displacement space (V) according to DIN 51 130 is specified for profiled slabs and tiles.
  • Tiles and slabs are generally considered to be easy to clean and easy to clean. This applies without restriction to flat, smooth and hard substrates of R classes 9 to 11. However, with increasing R class the surfaces become increasingly rougher. Rough surfaces of class R 12 and in particular profiled tiles of classes R 12 to 13 and V 8 to 10, so-called porcelain stoneware tiles, are problematic.
  • the cleaning effort increases considerably with increasing roughness / unevenness of the surface, especially if due to porosity there is additional surface enlargement.
  • GB-A-2 334 723 describes cleaning agents for glass and smooth, bright, shiny surfaces, consisting of one or more ethoxylated quaternary ammonium compounds, at least one glycol ether and / or C 1-22 alcohol and at least one anionic surfactant.
  • the cleaning agent should not leave any stains or streaks after cleaning and should have antimicrobial and antistatic properties.
  • cleaning agents for manual and machine cleaning are generally complex mixtures of anionic, nonionic and amphoteric / zwitterionic surfactants, which contain common auxiliaries and additives such as alkalis, complexing agents, solubilizers, chlorine bleach additive and optionally mild abrasives. They are used in concentrations of approx. 0.5 to 10% by weight.
  • the object of the present invention was therefore to overcome these disadvantages of the known commercially available cleaning agents overcome and to provide improved cleaning agents that ensure reliable cleaning of rough and profiled tiles, so-called porcelain stoneware, at the same or reduced application concentrations.
  • the aqueous cleaning agent concentrates according to the present invention contain, based on the total mixture, water in the range from approximately 45 to approximately 95 parts by weight, preferably approximately 70 to approximately 90 parts by weight. In the application, they can be diluted with additional water to the desired or customary or required application concentration of approximately 0.5 part by weight to approximately 10 parts by weight.
  • Suitable fatty acids are in particular coconut fatty acid, palm fatty acid, tallow fatty acid, which have a chain distribution of approximately 6 to approximately 20, mainly approximately 8 to approximately 18, carbon atoms and can be both saturated and unsaturated.
  • the double bonds can be hydrogenated in whole or in part by the known processes, so that the iodine numbers are in the range from approximately 0 to approximately 50, in particular in the range from approximately 15 to approximately 40.
  • Suitable alkoxylating agents are ethylene oxide, propylene oxide or butylene oxide alone or as copolymers with both statistical and blockwise distribution.
  • ethoxylated compounds with a degree of alkoxylation of about 5 to 10 are particularly preferred.
  • These compounds are cleaning formulations consisting of mixtures of one or more surfactants from the group of anionic, nonionic, amphoteric compounds and, if appropriate, customary auxiliaries and additives such as alkalis, complexing agents, solubilizers, addition of chlorine bleach and mild abrasives in amounts of approximately 0.1 to 5, in particular 0.5 to 3 parts by weight are added.
  • the cationic cleaning boosters in the presence of anionic compounds do not tend to form insoluble complexes and to precipitate out.
  • the surface-active compounds which can also be used according to the invention are the anionic, non-ionic, amphoteric / zwitterionic surfactants customary in this field for the production of cleaning agents for household and industry.
  • the compounds can be used individually or as mixtures and are, for example, anionic, nonionic and amphoteric surfactants such as alkali, ammonium or magnesium alkyl sulfates or alkyl ether sulfates, secondary alkane sulfonates, alkali ⁇ -olefin sulfonates, sulfosuccinates, acyl isethionates, sarcosides, taurides, alkyl polyglucosides , Ether citrates, carboxylates, ether carboxylates, alkyl amide ether sulfates, and ethoxylates of fatty alcohols, glycerides, oils, fatty acids but also fatty acid esters, amine oxides, alkyl betaines, alkyl amido betaines, propionates, glycinates, acetates and sulfobetaines and sodium, potassium or triethanolamine soap.

  • the cleaning solution was diluted with tap water from the city of Essen (water hardness ⁇ 10) to the respective application concentration.
  • the pipette tip was used for the test (Rainin (2.5 ml) EPD 2) positioned 0.3 mm above the tile.
  • the porcelain stoneware tiles were first washed in the dishwasher at 70 ° C without surfactant.
  • the spreading area in length and width was determined using a slide gauge. Each solution was repeated at least five times to correct the error. The area of the drop is calculated using the formula for an ellipse.

  • test solution E contains only short-chain anionic surfactants, a weakness in the emulsifying behavior is known for such surfactant systems.
  • the emulsification behavior of weakly emulsifying, short-chain anionic surfactant solutions is greatly optimized by adding the cleaning boosters according to the invention. If the emulsion breaks, water will settle instead of the oil. This settling water does not affect the cleaning power or the dirt carrying capacity during cleaning.
