Abstract

Die Erfindung bezieht sich auf eine Coilzange zur Aufnahme eines Stahl-Coils, mit zwei zumindest im wesentlichen vertikal verlaufenden Zangenschenkeln (1, 2), deren relativer Abstand in einer Vorwärtsrichtung (X) zueinander verstellbar ist, wobei an jedem Zangenschenkel (1, 2) vorgesehen ist ein nach innen ragender Haken (3) zum Eingriff in ein Auge des Coils, eine zumindest im wesentlichen vertikal verlaufende Kantenschutzaufnahme (8) zur kraftschlüssigen Anlage an axiale Seitenflächen des Coils. Um einen sicheren Transport eines Coils mit möglichst geringer Beschädigung der Coilkanten zu ermöglichen, wird vorgeschlagen, daß mindestens eine Kantenschutzaufnahme (8) gegenüber dem Zangenschenkel (1, 2) um eine waagerechte, in seitlicher Richtung (Y) verlaufende Achse verkippbar ist.
