Definitions
- the invention relates to a system and a method for storing and / or Processing objects under inert conditions.
- the proportion of oxygen in the inerting room continuously monitored. If it exceeds a certain predetermined limit, the room is purged with a low or zero oxygen inert gas, i.e. Inert gas is supplied to the room and at the same time it is elsewhere emitted oxygen-rich gas from the interior. After a while it will be like this the original inerting state is restored.
- the inert gas is thereby either stored in compressed or liquefied form or on site, such as generated by an air separation plant.
- the object of the present invention is therefore a system and a method for storing and / or processing objects under inert conditions To provide, in which the consumption of inert gas compared to conventional Equipment or process is reduced.
- the ones to be stored and / or processing objects first fed to the inerting lock. Then the inerting lock with those inside is inerted containing objects. In the inertization room itself, in which the There is no storage and / or processing of the objects or just a little oxygenation. Because the inerting lock usually a much smaller volume than the inerting space itself has, because only an inertization of the lock is required, achieved a considerable saving in inert gas. In addition, the mixing of the supplied inert gas with the existing atmosphere in a small Volume can be suppressed better than in the large volume of the Inertraumes.
- the inerting lock with a gas distribution system for Form to provide a displacement gas cushion.
- the gas distribution system enables an even supply of inert gas into the Inerting lock, so that the oxygen-rich atmosphere inside the Inerting lock without the formation of strong turbulence - and therefore without essential turbulence-related mixing processes - is displaced.
- the pressure-tight design of the inerting lock is particularly advantageous because depending on the type of inerting process used, more or less strong pressure fluctuations can occur.
- a conceivable embodiment provides for inerting the Inerting lock to use an adsorption process in which a Adsorption of a gas component to be eliminated from the internal atmosphere of the Inert gas lock takes place by means of a specific adsorbent, which in the Inerting lock is provided. If necessary, the Adsorption process also by increasing the pressure inside the Inerting lock are favored.
- Automatic control is particularly advantageous, by means of which - depending on a measured oxygen concentration in the inerting space - the amount of supplied inert gas into the lock and / or the duration of the inertization in the lock is adjustable.
- the object of the invention is also achieved by a method with the Features of claim 10 solved.
- the inerting takes place in the area of Inerting lock, ie before the objects enter the inerting room which the storage and / or processing of the objects takes place become.
- Inert gas its specific weight is only insignificant from that of the to be displaced Interior atmosphere differentiates, to suppress convective Currents are cooled before being fed into the inerting lock.
- the cooling is achieved in that the supply for the inert gas is in flow communication with a refrigerator or a cold gas source.
- Inert gases which are particularly suitable according to the invention are, for example Carbon dioxide, nitrogen or noble gases such as helium or argon.
- Plant 1 shown in FIG. 1 is a deposit for objects at risk of fire 2, for example for easily flammable Chemicals.
- items are 2 in an inert gas atmosphere, which is distinguished by a Ambient air reduced oxygen content, for example 5 to 12 vol .-% distinguished.
- the system has a bearing designed for the objects 2 Inerting chamber 3 with essentially gastight walls.
- Space tightness is often already due to the use of the inerting space specified. For example, cold stores are for energy reasons, Archives for climatic reasons or dangerous goods storage for security reasons Reasons with walls that already have a high gas tightness exhibit.
- the inerting space 3 is provided with an inlet opening which has a pressure and gas-tight inerting lock 5 is provided.
- the one as a double gate lock trained inertization lock 5 has an inlet opening 7 through which the Objects 2 get into the inerting lock 5, one with the Inlet opening of the inerting space 3 connected outlet opening 8, a Supply line 9 for an inert gas and a gas discharge line 10 for the supplied Inert gas from the interior 11 of the inert gas lock 5 on displaced gas.
- the Inlet opening 7 and outlet opening 8 are closed by locking devices, such as gas and pressure tight doors or suitable roller shutter designs, gas and lockable pressure-tight.
- the locking device of Inlet opening 7 opened and the item 2a into the interior of the Inerting lock 5 transported. Then the locking device of the Inlet opening 7 closed and the inerting of the lock 5 begins.
- a valve 12 in the feed line 9 is opened.
- the feed line 9 is with a Inert gas source, such as a cold gas tank 13 or an air separation plant, such as for example in the company brochure "Preventive Fire Protection with the Permatec system "from Minimax GmbH, to which express reference is made here is taken, fluidly connected.
- Inert gas in the example nitrogen
- the temperature of the nitrogen supplied is significantly lower than that Temperature of the gas to be displaced inside the inerting lock 5.
- the inerting lock 5 is equipped with a gas distribution system, by means of which the inert gas flows very evenly into the interior of the inerting lock can flow in.
- the gas distribution system essentially exists from almost the entire floor area of the inerting lock 5 extending storage space 14 of the actual interior 11 through a Storage grid 16 is separated.
- the storage grid 16 has a large number of fine, uniform ones distributed over the surface of the storage grid 16 of gas openings, each so are dimensioned, a larger in the area of the storage grid 16 Flow resistance exists as in the feed line 9.
- a gas overpressure which is uniform Inflow of inert gas over the entire surface of the storage grid 16 in the Interior 11 causes.
- a similarly constructed storage grid 18 is also in the upper one Area of the inerting lock 5 attached and delimits the interior 11 from an upper gas space 19.
- In this upper gas space 16 is by means of a suction device 20 which is connected to the gas discharge line 10 Negative pressure generated. This flows through the openings of the storage grid 18 displacing oxygen-rich gas in the upper gas space 19 evenly.
- the object 2a is transported through the inerting lock 5 automatically by means of a belt or a roller construction 21, which by a motor, not shown, is driven and the object 2a for storing in the direction of the arrow from inlet opening 7 to outlet opening 8 emotional.
- the closing device there activated and the object 2a into the interior of the inerting room spent.
- the inerting space 3 is also equipped with a measuring and control device 22 and with an inert gas supply 23 to control the oxygen concentration in the Equipped inside the inerting room 3.
- the oxygen concentration in the inerting room 3 is ongoing measured.
- a possible entry of oxygen into the interior of the Inerting chamber 3 can be caused by leaks in the walls of the Inertization room 3 or through the introduced objects 2,2a adhering residual air.
- Limit value for example at a concentration of 15 vol.% Oxygen
- a valve 24 in the inert gas supply 23 is opened. Inert gas flows into it Interior of the inerting room 3. At the same time it becomes oxygen-rich gas dissipated via a gas discharge line 25, whereby the oxygen concentration in the Inertization space decreases.
- Valve 24 is closed and the inert gas supply is ended.
- the system 30 shown in FIG. 2 is a system in which a working or processing of an object under inert conditions he follows.
- the system 30 can be a system for coating Act surfaces or radiation curing.
- the system 30 has one Entry lock 31 and an exit lock 32, both in the are constructed in the same way as the inerting lock 5 described above.
- An object 33 to be processed first enters the entrance lock 31, which is then - as described above - rendered inert. After done Inerting the entrance lock 31, the object 33 is the under inert Conditions processing process fed and leaves the System 30 through the exit lock 33.
- In the exit lock 33 takes place the inerting before the supply of the article 33, that is, before the Establishing a flow connection between the inerting space 34 and the exit gate 33.
