Definitions
- the present invention relates to a ski boot comprising at least one variable-volume hull partly of molded plastic divided by a longitudinal opening line, in an outer side and an inner side, one of these sides having a flap having an anterior lateral side and a side laterally, this flap coming to apply on the other side when closing the shoe.
- Modern ski boots with variable volume include a hull closing on the foot by two flaps applied to each other by means of closing and tightening.
- the anterior extremities of these flaps define a transverse slot in the front part of the hull to allow flaps to open to facilitate the introduction of the foot into the shoe.
- a gasket on a hull reach extending under the ends of the flaps.
- filling generally extension extending beyond the ends of the transverse slot so as to ensure a good sealing at the ends of the slot.
- it turned out that such a filling does not completely prevent infiltration of water at the anterior end, particularly exposed, flaps.
- patent EP 0 583 565 is described a part two wings, one of these wings extending under the lower flap and in front of this one, while the other wing extends between two flaps. Sealing is certainly improved towards the front, but a discontinuity is formed at the back, below the instep. In addition, at the front, the elevation of the upper flap creates a restraint of the snow not conducive to sealing. This extra thickness the upper flap is also troublesome laterally.
- a ski boot comprising a rod flexible boot-shaped surrounded by a frame form of openwork cradle attached to the flexible rod by a plastic material injected around the frame and through the openwork sole.
- the present invention is inspired by the latter construction to achieve a seal at the level of flap without auxiliary lining.
- the shoe according to the invention is more precisely characterized in that the top of the hull, in which is formed the flap and in which is located the longitudinal opening line, is part of a rod flexible, surrounded, in its lower part, by the molded plastic material and that the lateral side front of the flap is connected to the stem by a part stretchy elastic.
- the extensible elastic part is preferably elastic fabric, more precisely bi-elastic.
- the upper part of the flexible rod is also connected to the flap and at the opposite side of the flap by elastic parts extensible.
- the shoe represented consists of a rod flexible 1 boot-shaped opening on the front and of a relatively injected plastic shell 2 rigid, the rod 1 and the shell 2 being secured by the injection, from the bottom, of a flexible plastic material 3 injected between the flexible rod 1 and the shell 2 as described in US Patent 6,021,589.
- Rod 1 is essentially consisting of a textile material.
- the shell 2 presents openings such as 5 intended to reduce its weight. Through the opening 5 we can see the stem 1.
- the flexible plastic 3 forms an intermediate zone between the edge of the shell 2 extending on the top of the foot and the rod 1.
- the sole is provided with the back of a heel 6 of hard rubber and the front of a corresponding plate 7 of the same material.
- a not shown necklace is articulated on the shell 2 in zones 8 and two loops come to each other fix on the hull 2, in front of the zone 8.
- the opening line 9 divides the top of the rod 1 into two flaps 11 and 12.
- the front end of the flap 11 is fully connected to part 13 of the stem extending forward of the transverse line 10 of such that only the posterior side 14 of the flap 11 has a certain freedom.
- the shoe behaves so as if it had only one flap 12.
- This flap 12 is connected to the transverse line 10 by a material bi-stretch elastic 15 such as LYCRA (brand Mark).
- LYCRA brand Mark
- the flap 12 intended to be applied on the flap 11 and to receive the pressure of the loops is lined with foam and the elastic material 15 extends under the flap forming a lining.
- the part of the stem intended to surround the bottom of leg is cut to form two flaps 16 and 17.
- the flap 16 is connected to the flap 11 by a fabric bi-elastic 18 identical to the material of part 15.
- the flap 17 is connected to the flap 12 by a bi-elastic part 19 of the same material as the parts 15 and 18.
- the elastic parts 15, 18 and 19 make it possible to have flaps 12, 16 and 17 relatively wide and allowing, therefore, a large opening of wearing, while ensuring continuity of the upper on each side of the opening line ensuring thus a good seal of the shoe.
- the shoe thus combines comfort of footwear and heaving and sealing.
- the complete shoe is represented in FIGS. 4. It includes a hinged collar 20 in the zones 8 of the hull 2 in two opposite points located on a transverse right to the shoe, one of these points, 21, being visible in Figure 3.
- the collar 20 consists in part of the flaps 16 and 17 of the flexible rod 1. More precisely, the collar 20 consists partly of a piece 22 of plastic semi-rigid which only partially surrounds the stem, that is to say, the leg in the closed position of the shoe, and in part flaps 16 and 17.
- the part semi-rigid plastic 22 is attached to the flap 16 by a rivet 23 and flap 17 by a rivet 24 serving simultaneously with the attachment point of a strap 25 carrying a rack 26 on which comes hook a hook 27 part of a loop comprising a tensioning lever 28 mounted on the semi-rigid plastic part 22. It can be seen on the drawing that the height of the semi-rigid part 22 of the collar decreases from the sides of the necklace by going forward.
- the front ends of the game semi-rigid 22 collar do not come so superimpose as is the case of necklaces according to art anterior entirely made of semi-rigid plastic material, but the collar is closed by the soft flaps 16 and 17 so that the collar comes around and tighten the leg by adapting better to the morphology leg, without creating localized pressure painful.
- the flexibility of the flaps 16 and 17 makes it possible besides opening more easily and completely the collar for donning and heaving.
- the flexible flap 17, that is to say the flap corresponding to the inner side of the foot, covers, on the front of the necklace, the material part semi-rigid plastic 22 in the closed position of the footwear, as shown in Figure 4.
- the overlapping portion has been removed for show the shape of the semi-rigid part and the rivet 23.
- Closing and tightening means of the shoe further comprise a strap 29 having one end is fixed on the inner side of the collar 20 on the semi-rigid part 22, this strap passing over a bar 30 of a loop 31 to be fixed on itself by a Velcro fastener (registered trademark).
- the closing and clamping means furthermore comprise two loops with straps 32 and 33 similar to the strap 25.
- the semi-rigid plastic part 22 of the collar could extend to a part of the perimeter of the collar lower than the portion shown in the drawing. Part 22 may be perforated as shown at 34. In the drawing, there is also a slipper comfort 35.

Description
The present invention relates to a ski boot comprising at least one variable-volume hull partly of molded plastic divided by a longitudinal opening line, in an outer side and an inner side, one of these sides having a flap having an anterior lateral side and a side laterally, this flap coming to apply on the other side when closing the shoe.
Modern ski boots with variable volume include a hull closing on the foot by two flaps applied to each other by means of closing and tightening. The anterior extremities of these flaps define a transverse slot in the front part of the hull to allow flaps to open to facilitate the introduction of the foot into the shoe. To ensure the watertightness of the hull the place of this slot, we usually have a gasket on a hull reach extending under the ends of the flaps. This In addition, filling generally extension extending beyond the ends of the transverse slot so as to ensure a good sealing at the ends of the slot. However, even in the crushed state, it turned out that such a filling does not completely prevent infiltration of water at the anterior end, particularly exposed, flaps. This is due to the discontinuity of surface appearing at the side edge of the lower flap covered by the upper flap. This discontinuity creates a space that is never completely occupied by the rubber of the seal, this one, even tender, unable to deform sufficiently for completely obstruct the entrance to this space.
The use of a synthetic cell foam open and therefore very compressible does not allow to improve the seal, because it turned out that the moisture gets into the foam by pumping effect then enters the hull. In the utility model DE 83 36 239, it was proposed to use a piece of elastic material presenting ribs facing the flaps, crushing elastic of these ribs by the flaps to ensure a better seal. This improvement does not allow however, not to solve the problem mentioned above.
In patent EP 0 583 565 is described a part two wings, one of these wings extending under the lower flap and in front of this one, while the other wing extends between two flaps. Sealing is certainly improved towards the front, but a discontinuity is formed at the back, below the instep. In addition, at the front, the elevation of the upper flap creates a restraint of the snow not conducive to sealing. This extra thickness the upper flap is also troublesome laterally.
In the construction described in the utility model DE 297 19 568, it has been proposed to improve the watertightness in removing the transverse slot on one of the sides of the longitudinal opening line so that there is practically only one flap. Slot transverse transverse is closed by a filling sealing having a variable profile. The problems inherent in the presence of a trim compressible remain. In EP 0 683 991 is proposed a construction free of packing sealing. As in the case cited above, the hull with variable volume is provided with a single flap of which the anterior end is extended by a leg almost completely covering the front part of the opening line. In this case, the seal is ensured by the application of this leg on the hull. It is obvious that such a closure is not completely waterproof. There is also a slot transverse uncovered. The seal can be improved by covering this leg with an extension a closing strap.
From US Pat. No. 6,021,589, in the name of the applicant, it is known in addition, a ski boot comprising a rod flexible boot-shaped surrounded by a frame form of openwork cradle attached to the flexible rod by a plastic material injected around the frame and through the openwork sole.
US-A-5 787 611 dévoile toutes les caractéristiques du préambule de la revendication 1.US-A-5,787,611 discloses all the features of the preamble of the claim 1.
The present invention is inspired by the latter construction to achieve a seal at the level of flap without auxiliary lining.
The shoe according to the invention is more precisely characterized in that the top of the hull, in which is formed the flap and in which is located the longitudinal opening line, is part of a rod flexible, surrounded, in its lower part, by the molded plastic material and that the lateral side front of the flap is connected to the stem by a part stretchy elastic.
The extensible elastic part is preferably elastic fabric, more precisely bi-elastic.
According to a preferred embodiment of the invention, the upper part of the flexible rod, intended for surrounding the ankle, is also connected to the flap and at the opposite side of the flap by elastic parts extensible.
The shoe represented consists of a rod
flexible 1 boot-shaped opening on the front and
of a relatively injected
s'arrêtant sur une ligne transversale 10.In the part of the rod 1 extending on the foot,
it has a
The
15 et 18.The part of the stem intended to surround the bottom of
leg is cut to form two
The
21, étant visible à la figure 3.The complete shoe is represented in FIGS.
4. It includes a hinged
On relève
23. The
Instead of using for the flexible rod a material
textile lined with plastic in the upper part
including the
25.Closing and tightening means of the shoe
further comprise a
confort 35.The semi-rigid
