  • the stopper rests on top of the contents of the canister and creates a separate volume 114 between the contents and the top endcap. Since the longest object within the canister will be the longest base frame member, there is no worry of damaging the rolled displayed object.
  • This volume 114 can be used to store and display memorabilia or other objects desired by the user. For example, if the displayed object were a baseball related poster, it would be appropriate to put a memorabilia baseball within the confined volume. Similarly, an action figure 116 can accompany a superhero poster.
  • the protective canister would remain the same, with the exception of the stopper and perhaps a lengthened canister body, to accommodate the addition of the confined volume 114.

Similarly, the mortise extends inwardly and generally perpendicularly from the angled surface 36 of the adjacent frame member.

Abstract

L'invention concerne un système d'encadrement périphérique pour le montage et l'affichage d'un poster ou autre matériau en feuille. Ce système ne nécessite aucun renforcement rigide, du fait que les éléments du cadrage eux-mêmes servent à supporter le poster ou autre objet affiché. Le système comprend une structure de base, une structure de fixation et, cas échéant, un recouvrement translucide protecteur. La structure de base comprend plusieurs éléments de cadre allongés, chacun d'eux s'étendant entre une paire d'extrémités inclinées. Les extrémités des éléments de base adjacents sont reliées entre elles par tenon et mortaise de manière à former, après montage, un cadre de base rectangulaire. La structure de fixation comprend plusieurs éléments de fixation, un pour chacun des éléments du cadre, chacun desdits éléments de fixation présentant une pluralité de tenons. Les éléments du cadre de base, le couvercle translucide et l'objet affiché présentent chacun un nombre égal de trous destinés à recevoir les tenons. Les trous dans les éléments de base sont utilisés pour recevoir et fixer les tenons complémentaires de façon à maintenir en place le couvercle translucide et l'objet affiché, entre les éléments de fixation et les éléments de base. Ainsi, durant le montage, l'objet et le couvercle sont appliqués à plat sur le cadre de base monté, les trous de dégagement étant alignés avec les trous ménagés dans les éléments du cadre. La structure de fixation est alors mise en place, permettant ainsi la fixation en position de l'objet affiché et du couvercle de protection. On obtient ainsi un encadrement affichant et protégeant un objet sans avoir à recourir à un renforcement rigide. L'invention concerne en outre une boîte métallique protectrice capable de transporter et de stocker l'ensemble du système de cadre. La boîte protectrice comprend un tube translucide d'obturation et est capable de contenir le système de cadre démonté, l'objet affiché et le recouvrement translucide. La boîte protectrice procure ainsi des moyens pratiques et efficaces pour stocker l'ensemble du système lorsqu'il n'est pas en situation d'affichage.
