Claims (10)
- Stabförmiger Lichtleiter, insbesondere für eine Signalleuchte für Kraftfahrzeuge, bestehend aus einem Stabkörper mit mindestens einer Lichteinkoppelfläche und einer in Richtung einer Längsachse angeordneten, quer zur Längsachse abstrahlenden Lichtaustrittsfläche, einer der Lichtaustrittsfläche gegenüberliegenden reflektierenden Fläche mit lichtablenkenden Mitteln, die über die Lichteinkoppelfläche eingekoppeltes Licht über die Lichtaustrittsfläche abstrahlen, und mit zwei einander gegenüberliegenden Seitenflächen, die die Lichteintrittsfläche und die reflektierende Fläche miteinander verbinden, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Seitenflächen (6, 7) im quer zur Längsachse (8) angeordneten Querschnitt des Stabkörpers (1) mindestens zwei lichtkonzentrierende Punkte (15, 17) bilden, so dass parallel zur Längsachse (8) nichtzentrische Brennlinien (19, 20) entstehen, auf denen die lichtkonzentrierenden Punkte (15, 17) der zugehörigen Seitenflächen (6, 7) angeordnet sind.
- Stabförmiger Lichtleiter nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass der Querschnitt des Stabkörpers (1) im Wesentlichen elliptisch ausgebildet ist.
- Stabförmiger Lichtleiter nach Anspruch 1 oder 2, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass bei in horizontaler Richtung gegenüberliegend angeordneter reflektierender Fläche (4) und Lichtaustrittsfläche (5) ein erster lichtkonzentrierender Punkt (15) in vertikaler Richtung oberhalb eines auf der Längsachse (8) liegenden Mittelpunktes (16) und ein zweiter lichtkonzentrierender Punkt (17) unterhalb des Mittelpunktes (16) angeordnet ist.
- Stabförmiger Lichtleiter nach Anspruch 3, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass der Mittelpunkt (16) in Verbindung mit der reflektierenden Fläche (4) einen dritten lichtkonzentrierenden Punkt (18) bildet.
- Stabförmiger Lichtleiter nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 4, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass der Stabkörper (1) als ein Ellipsoid ausgebildet ist, dessen quer zur Längsachse (8) angeordnete Exzentrizität an die Länge des Stabkörpers (1) angepasst ist um möglichst viel Licht auszukoppeln.
- Stabförmiger Lichtleiter nach Anspruch 5, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Exzentrizität auf die benötigte vertikale Streubreite abgestimmt ist.
- Stabförmiger Lichtleiter nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 7, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass den Stirnflächen (2, 3) eine etwa punktförmig abstrahlende Lichtquelle (13) vorgelagert ist.
- Stabförmiger Lichtleiter nach Anspruch 7, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Lichtquelle (13) als eine Glühlampe mit Ellipsoidreflektor ausgebildet ist. Die lichtablenkenden Mittel der reflektierenden Fläche (4) als eine Vielzahl von quer zur Längsachse angeordnete Prismen (14) ausgebildet sind.
- Stabförmiger Lichtleiter nach Anspruch 7, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Lichtquelle (13) als eine Leuchtdiode ausgebildet ist.
- Stabförmiger Lichtleiter nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 9, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die lichtablenkenden Mittel der reflektierenden Fläche (4) als eine Vielzahl von quer zur Längsachse (8) angeordnete Prismen (14) ausgebildet ist.
