Abstract

Beim Bestimmen der Abkühlwirkung einer strömenden Gasatmosphäre auf Werkstücke, insbesondere beim Härten von Werkstücken aus Stahl, durch einen auf Werkstücktemperatur erhitzten, mit mindestens einem Temperaturfühler (6, 7) versehenen Meßkörper (5), der der Gasatmosphäre ausgesetzt ist, wird zur kontinuierlichen und direkten Bestimmung der Abkühlwirkung und zur Dosierung des Abschreckeffekts auch bei großen und beweglichen Chargen und zur kurzzeitigen Regelung der Meßkörper (5) außerhalb der Werkstücke angeordnet und mittels einer ihm zugeordneten Heizeinrichtung (9) auf eine vorgegebene Ausgangstemperatur aufgeheizt und anschließend der strömenden Gasatmosphäre ausgesetzt, und hierbei werden die am Meßkörper (5) gemessenen zeitlichen Abkühlverläufe bestimmt.
