Das aus den Fig. 1 bis 3 ersichtliche textile Gitter zum Bewehren bitumengebundener
Schichten besteht im wesentlichen aus zwei Sätzen paralleler
lastaufnehmender Fäden 1 und 2. Die Fäden 1 des Gitters verlaufen in
Kettrichtung bzw. in Längsrichtung des Gitters, während die Fäden 2 quer
dazu verlaufen. Die lastaufnehmenden Fäden bestehen aus hochmodulen Polymerisatfasern
oder Polykondensatfasern, zum Beispiel Fasern aus Aramid
oder Polyvenylalkohol, insbesondere in Form von Endlosfilamenten. Diese
lasttragenden Fäden können aber auch aus Glasfasern bestehen. Die längs
verlaufenden Fäden 1, die bei dem dargestellten Ausführungsbeispiel sich aus
je zwei Faserbündeln zusammensetzen, sind von Raschel-Bindefäden 5
umgeben, welche die längs verlaufenden Fäden 1 und auch die quer verlaufenden
Fäden 2 mit einem dünnen Vlies 3 verbinden. Wie insbesondere die
Fig. 2 zeigt, sind die quer verlaufenden Fäden 2 zwischen dem Vlies 3 und
den längs verlaufenden Fäden 1 angeordnet. Diese Anordnung ist etwas
stabiler als die Anordnung der quer verlaufenden Fäden 2 über den längs
verlaufenden Fäden 1. Die lastaufnehmenden Fäden 1 und 2 können auch
schon vor dem Aufrascheln auf das Vlies 3 mit einem Haftmittel imprägniert
bzw. beschichtet sein. Zweckmäßigerweise aber werden diese lastaufnehmenden
Fäden 1 und 2 zusammen mit dem Vlies 3 mit dem Haftmittel 6 überzogen.
Damit der Verbrauch an Haftmitteln, insbesondere einer Bitumen-Latex-Emulsion,
nicht zu groß ist, wird diese so dünn aufgetragen, daß das Vlies 3

Claims (11)
- A wide-meshed, textile lattice to provide reinforcement for bitumen-bonded layers, in particular of a road asphalt, which essentially consists of two sets of parallel, load-bearing threads (1 and 2)wherein one set of threads (1) extends in the longitudinal direction of the lattice and the other set of threads (2) extends transversely to the longitudinal direction of the lattice and the threads (1 and 2) are of glass fibres or chemical fibres such as polymer fibres or polycondensate fibres,wherein the lattice is coated with a bonding substance having an affinity to bitumen or the crossing threads (1 and 2) are made from a material with an affinity for bitumen, in particular a bitumen bonding substance,wherein the crossing threads (1, 2) are raschel-locked onto a fleece (3),

- A lattice as claimed in one of claims 1 to 4, characterised in that the fleece (3) is made from polyethylene terephtalate (PETP), polyethylene (PET) or polypropylene (PP) fibres, threads and/or filaments and is consolidated by heat, chemical or mechanical processing.
- A lattice as claimed in one of claims 1 to 5, characterised in that the fleece (3) is perforated.
- A lattice as claimed in claim 6, characterised in that holes of a diameter of from 0.5 to 4 mm are punched in the fleece (3) in a regularly distributed pattern and the proportion of holes in relation to the total surface area is at least 10%.
- A lattice as claimed in one of claims 1 to 7, characterised in that the load-bearing threads (1 and 2) are joined to one another at their cross-over points (7) by bonding or welding.
- A lattice as claimed in one of claims 1 to 8, characterised in that the load-bearing threads (1 and 2) are in the form of rounded 2 to 4 mm diameter strands or double strands secured to the fleece (3) by raschel-locking.
- A lattice as claimed in one of claims 1 to 9, characterised in that a bituminous mastic which can be activated by heating is applied to the underside of the composite, especially of the fleece (3).
- A lattice as claimed in claim 10, characterised in that the bituminous mastic is deposited in form of spots or stripes extending transversely or orthogonal to the longitudinal direction of the lattice.
