Nähmaschine mit einer auf- und abbewegbaren Nadelstange (4) mit einer fadenführenden Nadel (5), einem Fadengeber (6), wenigstens einer Fadenspannvorrichtung (7), einer zwischen einer Ruhe- und einer Andruckstellung auf- und abbewegbaren Stoffdrückerstange (8) mit einem auf eine Nähgutauflagefläche absenkbaren Stoffdrückerfuß (9), einem unterhalb der Nähgutauflagefläche angeordneten, mit der Nadel zusammenarbeitenden Greifer (10), einer zumindest für das Durchtrennen des Nadelfadens (27) vorgesehenen Fadenschneideinrichtung (11) und einer nach dem Fadenschneidvorgang betätigbaren Einrichtung (24) zum Wegziehen des vorratseitigen Nadelfadenendes, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Einrichtung (24) zum Wegziehen des Nadelfadenendes von einem Stift (22) gebildet ist, der sich quer zu dem zwischen zwei Fadenführungen (25, 26) verlaufenden Weg des Nadelfadens (27) erstreckt und im wesentlichen quer durch den besagten Weg des Nadelfadens (27) hindurch zwischen einer Ruhestellung und einer Funktionsstellung bewegbar ist, wobei die Bewegung des Stiftes (22) aus der Ruhestellung in die Funktionsstellung nach einem Fadenschneidvorgang bei wirksamer Fadenspannvorrichtung (7) und in Ruhestellung zurück vor einem erneuten Nähstart erfolgt.1.
