Abstract
L'invention concerne une fibre optique (10) qui comprend un coeur (11) et une gaine (12) constitués chacun d'un matériau de fluorocarbone entièrement fluoré. Un matériau de Téflon® entièrement fluoré, tel que le Téflon® AF 1600 ou le Téflon® AF 2400 ou un mélange des deux, est particulièrement approprié comme matériau de fluorocarbone entièrement fluoré. La fibre optique (10) est transparente dans une plage de longueurs d'onde autour de 1300 nm et/ou 1550 nm. Le coeur (11) de la fibre optique (10) présente, de préférence, un indice de réfraction supérieur à celui de la gaine (12). Cette fibre optique s'utilise en particulier en tant que fibre optique intégrée pour la transmission d'information dans le domaine des télécommunications optiques.
