Abstract

A valve system in which a magnetic valve is in series with a manually-operated valve and contact with the handle of the manually-operated valve initiates flow via the electronic controller whereas, upon loss of contact, a proximity detector controls the magnetic valve when an object, such as a user's hand, is in range. The manual contact is superordinate and proximity detection is subordinate and the proximity detector remains permanently switched on during the operating duration.

Description

The invention relates to a water outlet device, especially for the sanitary area, with a first valve that can be adjusted with one hand and at least a second one, from control electronics adjustable valve, the valves arranged in series are and the control electronics with one, at least a detection device having a sensor for contactless Control and a sensor on the handle connected to control by touch.

Such a water outlet device is from the Document DE 197 23 312 A1 known. In this known Setup is done with the manual on and off the electrical outlet Control and the detection device on and off.

The invention has for its object the known To further simplify the water outlet device.

This object is achieved in that
  • the sensor on the handle is primarily connected in the control electronics, so that the second valve is held in the open position by the control electronics only during the entire period of contact of the sensor formed on the handle arm by a user,
  • the detection device is subordinated in the control electronics, so that the second valve is controlled by the detection device only when the handle of the first valve is not touched by the user,
  • the detection device is permanently switched on during the operating period.

Further embodiments of the invention are in the claims 2 to 7 specified.

With the proposed measures, the water outlet device be significantly simplified because at the mechanically adjustable valve only one Touch sensor is required. It has about it also shown that the control electronics with the detection device relatively inexpensive even in continuous operation can be used.

In a further embodiment of the invention the control electronics adjustable valve both upstream as well as downstream to the mechanically by hand adjustable valve can be arranged.

In the case of a manually adjustable one-way mixing valve as the first valve, the second valve, which can be actuated by the control electronics, can advantageously be arranged upstream in the connecting line as a twin valve, with which the two separate cold and hot water lines can be blocked or released synchronously. To further simplify this, the two twin valves can be controlled by an electromagnetically operated pilot valve.
Upstream of the twin valve, a dirt trap and / or non-return valve can be expediently arranged in each of the two feed lines.

An embodiment of the invention is in the drawing specified. In the single figure there is one on one Basin-mounted water tap fitting in the form of a Engagement mixer valve shown schematically, the Control electronics and that switched by the control electronics Valve arranged below the washstand are.

The water tap shown in the drawing is from a valve body 2, one as a mixing valve cartridge trained first valve 3 and one Handle 1 formed. At a vanity 7 is in the area an opening 70 of the valve body 2 in a conventional manner Way, through opening 70 also the two connection lines 21, 22 for cold and hot water are led through. The connecting lines 21, 22 are in the valve body 2 with the valve 3 connected. The valve 3 is via an adjusting lever 30 connected to the handle 1, with a pivoting arranged perpendicular to the central axis 13 Axis in the direction of arrow 11 is the flow rate per unit of time in a first degree of freedom and in a second degree of freedom with a turn around the Center axis 13 in the direction of arrow 12 the mixing ratio of cold and hot water with the handle 1 is adjustable. The mixed water generated in the valve 3 is via a water outlet mouthpiece 23 from the fitting body 1 given as a free jet.

In addition, a detection device 6 is arranged in the valve body 2 in the lower region, with which it can be determined whether an object, for. B. the hand of a user, is in a certain detection range.
Finally, a sensor 100 is formed on the surface of the handle 1 in the region of the handle arm 10, with which a contact, in particular by the user's hand, can be determined.
The sensor 100 is connected to a line 50 and the detection device 6 to a line 51 with control electronics 5 arranged below the washstand 7.

The connecting lines 21, 22 are each on a corner valve 8 of the cold water and hot water supply network connected (in the drawing there is only one Corner valve shown, the second corner valve is located behind the drawing level). Downstream behind the The corner valve is one in each of the two lines Dirt trap 25 and a non-return valve 24 are arranged, on which the second valve 4 in twin construction with a separate passage for cold and Hot water connects. The valve 4 is one electromagnetically operated pilot valve 40 in open or closed position switched. The pilot valve 40 is again with a line 52 to the control electronics 5 connected.

The control electronics 5 is designed so that it works in continuous operation and that one by one Touch of the sensor 100 generated signal takes precedence a signal generated by the detection device 6 Has. The electrical power supply for the control electronics 5, the detection device 6 and for that Pilot valve 40 takes place in the exemplary embodiment Arrangement of one or more batteries in the control electronics 5. Of course, the control electronics but also to an electrical supply line network be connected.

The water outlet device described above works as follows:
In the position of the handle 1 shown in the drawing, the first valve 3 is in its closed position. Since the sensor 100 is not touched by the user either, the control electronics 5 hold the second valve 4 (twin valve) in the shut-off position via the pilot valve 40.
If a user touches the sensor 100 on the handle 1, the control electronics 5 via the pilot valve 40 cause the valve 4 (twin valve) to be brought into the open position and remain in the open position as long as the user touches the sensor 100. In this control position, the water outlet device can be used by the user as a manually adjustable engagement mixer valve. By pivoting the handle 1 in the direction of the arrow 11, the valve 3 is increasingly moved from its shut-off position to the fully open position, so that more and more water emerges as a free jet via the water outlet mouthpiece 23. By turning the handle 1 in the direction of arrow 12, the mixing ratio of the incoming cold and hot water or the temperature of the mixed water discharged via the water outlet mouthpiece 23 can be set.
If the user stops touching the sensor 100 in an open position of the valve 3, the water outflow is then controlled by the detection device 6 via the control device 5. If there is an object in the detection range of the detection device 6, the control electronics 5, via the pilot valve 40, causes the valve 4 (twin valve) to remain in the open position. If, on the other hand, no object is detected, the control electronics 5 via the pilot valve 40 cause the valve 4 (twin valve) to be brought into the shut-off position. If an object is again brought into the detection area of the detection device 6 at a later time, the control electronics 5 causes the valve 4 (twin valve) to open again via the pilot valve 40 for the period of time in which an object is detected by the detection device 6 in the detection area . The water outlet device thus works as a contactless water outlet control.
In the exemplary embodiment described above, the second valve 4 is arranged as a twin valve upstream of the first, manually controlled valve 3. Here, the twin valve can also be provided with two pilot valves 40, so that there are two spatially separate valves 4, each of which can be connected to a corner valve 8 for cold or hot water.
Of course, the second valve that can be set by the control electronics can also be arranged downstream behind the manually adjustable first valve.
The control electronics can also be integrated directly in the fitting body of the water outlet device together with the detection device instead of underneath the washstand. For example, a proximity switch emitting and receiving infrared light can be provided as the detection device. Finally, the water outlet device according to the invention can also be used with a water dispensing device with a manually adjustable shut-off and quantity metering valve.
