Bei diesem Strahlungsbrenner ist vorgesehen, daß von den Organen, über die der Strahlungsbrenner mit der Außenluft in Verbindung steht, wenigstens zwei so ausgebildet sind, daß sie sich nach der gleichen Richtung öffnen, damit von außen auf den Strahlungsbrenner wirkende Winddruckschwankungen im gleichen Sinne in jedes dieser Organe hineinwirken. Beispielsweise ist ein sich trichterförmig erweiterndes Gehäuseteil im Bereich seiner Öffnung mit einem Drahtnetz bespannt, durch das zwar einerseits die Strahlung fast ungehindert hindurchtreten kann, andererseits durch strömende Luft derart gestört in Turbulenz versetzt und mit Wirbeln durchsetzt wird, daß ein großer Teil der Strömungsenergie am Drahtnetz verbraucht wird und keinesfalls ein direkter Luftstrahl auf die Brennerabschlußplatte auftreffen kann. Ein von unten her auf den Strahlungsbrenner drückender Windstoß kann daher allenfalls eine relativ langsame Druckänderung sowohl auf der Vorderseite als auch auf der Rückseite der Brennerabschlußplatte hervorrufen, wobei sich keine Druckdifferenzen ergeben können.     characterized in that said perforated plate includes holes (16) of a polygonal, preferably rectangular and particularly square shape.

    characterized in that said perforated plate includes holes (16) having a boundary which is in the shape of a segment of an arc of a circle, particularly in a circular, oval and/or elliptical shape.
  9. Radiant burner according to claim 2,
    characterized in that said cover (15) is formed with a v-shaped cross section.
  10. Radiant burner according to claim 1,
    characterized in that said wind protection device (7) includes division elements (18) extending in the longitudinal and/or transverse directions.
  11. Radiant burner according to claim 10,
    characterized in that said division elements (18) include a plurality of openings (16) and/or recesses at least in partial areas thereof.
  12. Radiant burner according to claim 1,
    characterized in that said openings (10, 16) and/or recesses include lamella-like covers on the edges thereof which face the housing (1).
  13. Radiant burner according to claim 12,
    characterized in that said covers are configured as plate sections (11) formed under an angle to the respective extension element (8, 9).
  14. Radiant burner according to claim 13,
    characterized in that said plate sections (11) are formed with a v-shaped cross-section, the free ends of said plate sections (11) being arranged to extend substantially parallel with the respective extension element (8, 9).
  15. Radiant burner according to claim 5,
    characterized in that the degree of opening of the perforated plates of said extension elements (8, 9, 14) and/or cover (15) is different.
  16. Radiant burner according to claim 15,
    characterized in that the degree of opening of the perforated plates of said extension elements (8, 9) is smaller than the degree of opening of the perforated plates of said extension elements (14) or said cover (15).
  17. Radiant burner according to claim 1,
    characterized in that said reflector housing (5) is formed funnel-like.
  18. Radiant burner according to claim 1,
    characterized in that starting from a longitudinal edge (21) of the housing part (5) said wind protection device (7) is substantially formed in an L-shape and accordingly includes two legs (22, 23), of which the free leg (23) is at least partly aligned parallel with the radiator opening (6).
  19. Radiant burner according to claim 18,
    characterized in that said two legs (22, 23) of said wind protection device (7) merge into one another in the form of a segment of an arc of a circle.
  20. Radiant burner according to claim 1,
    characterized in that said wind protection device (7) is formed with a round or elliptical cross section.
  21. Radiant burner according to claim 1,
    characterized in that said wind protection device (7) has an open area of 40 to 90%, particularly 50 to 80% of its total area.
