Claims (10)
- A roller with a covering of an elastomeric or elastic plastic material based on rubber, elastic thermoplastic material, thermoplastic elastomer, castable polyurethane systems or mixtures of these components, characterised in that the elastomeric or elastic plastic material contains fluorinated poylolefin in a quantity sufficient for improving the ink-repellent and/or medium-repellent properties of the roller covering.
- The roller according to claim 1, characterised in that the covering is built up of one, two or more layers, at least the surface layer containing the fluorinated polyolefin.
- The roller according to claim 1 or 2, characterised in that the fluorinated polyolefin is present as a powder or fibre and the proportion of the fluorinated polyolefin in the elastomeric or elastic plastic material of the covering amounts to 0.5 to 25 % by wt., preferably 5 to 10 % by wt.
- The roller according to one of claims 1 to 3, characterised in that fluorinated polyethylene, polypropylene or ethylene propylene copolymer is used as fluorinated polyolefin.
- The roller according to one of claims 1 to 4, characterised in that perfluorinated polyolefin, preferably polytetrafluoroethylene, is used as fluorinated polyolefin.
- The roller according to one of claims 1 to 5, characterised in that NR, NBR, HNBR, XNBR, IIR, SBR, CR, CM, CSM, ACM, ECO, EPM, EPDM, PUR or silicone rubber, in particular, is used as rubber for the elastomeric or elastic plastic material and PVC in particular as elastic thermoplastic.
