Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a device for receiving and storage of at least two separate windable pipes.
In the offshore oil industry, various types of pipes are used and among these pipes flexible for transporting fluids such as liquid hydrocarbons or gas, water or air. Flexible lines generally connect a or surface equipment to one or more background equipment such than a production well or a manifold, part of the flexible pipes resting on the seabed. The structure of these flexible pipes is good known and it is described, for example, in FR-A-2,553,859.
The laying and / or testing of flexible pipes or certain other operations using remote-controlled means such as underwater vehicles called ROV (acronym for "Remote Operated Vehicle "), require the use of other lines which may be flexible pipe type whose structure is similar to that of pipes production hoses that are used to abandon and / or recover main lines, or of the umbilical type also well known to specialists. The various structures of pipes used in industry are for example described and referenced in the various APIs (American Petroleum Institute).
The operations of laying a flexible pipe must sometimes be interrupted urgently, for example in the event of a storm. This interruption is carried out using either a winch unwinding a steel cable which is connected to the flexible pipe, so as to deposit on the seabed one end of a portion of the flexible pipe which was in the phase of deposition, or a secondary pipe of the flexible pipe type, as well as is described in FR-A-2 056 428.
In all cases, surface equipment such as a installation, include different receiving and storage means, some of these means being allocated to the main flexible pipe of production and some others being assigned to secondary lines by opposition to the main flexible pipe. Now, for averages and great depths which are between 1000 and 2500 m and even moreover, the means of receiving and storing the main pipes and secondary must be very large. For large lengths of main flexible pipe, baskets are generally used and are analogous to that shown in the drawings of the US patents 3804111 and 3941146. Such baskets have an outside diameter between 10 and 15 m. Secondary pipes such as a hose of abandonment, like the one represented in FR 2056428, are wound on coils with a load limited to 250-300 tonnes, which corresponds to a secondary pipe length of between 1500 and 2000 m.
It is obvious that such storage means, baskets and / or reels, require a very important place on the deck of a ship of poses, thus limiting the space for maneuvers essential for the laying, testing and / or recovery of a main flexible pipe or still storage of other equipment. In addition, there is no need to recall that the longer the lengths of main flexible pipe and pipe secondary are important and the greater the number of means of storage.
In some cases, the capacity of the baskets makes it possible to store either a very long flexible pipe length, i.e. several pipes different, different lengths and diameters. Under these conditions, the basket loading is done according to the installation sequence of pipes. This is how the first line loaded at the bottom of the basket will be the last one to be laid, while the last pipe loaded in the basket will be the first to be placed. When using a pipe abandonment and recovery that should be used for any pipe to be laid, it cannot be stored in the basket receiving the pipes different and therefore it is necessary to store it on a reel independent.
The object of the present invention is to propose a device which can receive and store at least one main line and one secondary driving on the same means, so as to reduce space occupied by this storage means on the deck of the laying ship or a other equivalent surface device from which said pipes are manipulated.
The subject of the present invention is a reception device and for storing at least two separate rollable pipes, one of which is constituted by a first main flexible pipe used in a offshore oil exploitation, said device comprising a first and a second cylindrical structure of different diameters, the first main flexible pipe being received and stored in a first cylindrical structure, the two cylindrical structures being concentric, movable in rotation about a substantially vertical axis of rotation and having an open upper face and a lower face closed by a bottom plate, and means for driving in rotation said structures cylindrical, and it is characterized in that the second secondary pipe is arranged in the second cylindrical structure which comprises three separate and concentric housing, the two internal extreme housing and being external for receiving and storing said second pipe secondary, the middle housing constituting a transition zone for the passage of said secondary pipe between the internal and external housings.
An advantage of the present invention is that it is possible to receive and store two pipes of different structures, similar, analogous or identical in the same device such as basket, with a smaller footprint than in installations earlier. In addition, it is possible to wind and unwind the pipes stored in corresponding cylindrical structures independently one from the other.
According to another characteristic of the present invention, the median housing includes a support and guide member for the second secondary pipe during its passage between the end superior of an extreme housing in. the lower end of the other extreme housing.
This allows the secondary pipe to be properly guided from one extreme dwelling to another without risk of deformation or deterioration of the internal structure of said secondary pipe. So the secondary pipe is not bent excessively, which is important when it includes traction armor and / or armor resistant to internal pressure. In other words and when driving secondary is analogous to a flexible pipe as is the case in a use of abandonment or recovery of flexible pipe, driving secondary is not deformed with a radius of curvature smaller than the radius minimum curvature ("MBR" or Minimum Bending Radins in English).

The device for receiving and storing pipes comprises

figure 1.
structures 1 et 2 est de 7,5 m.The winding mode of the
Of course, the second
