Bei B65 SK ist in der Ortstabelle der Verweis B3 SK angegeben. Dementsprechend wird B3 SK bei dem erfindungsgemäßen Verfahren als SELECT1 = 2 codiert. Da sich die Verkehrsbehinderung auf der B3 bis HM erstreckt, ist D1 = 0 (positiv), während das Ausmaß EXTENT1 = 4 ist. Die Richtung ist ebenfalls positiv, die restliche Verkehrsbehinderung erstreckt sich nur noch um einen weiteren Abschnitt, nämlich bis AK HB, weshalb EXTENT2 = 1 ist. Der Empfänger erkennt aus dem Fehlen eines weiteren Labels 12, daß das Ende der Verkehrsbehinderung erreicht ist. Die fertige Meldung kann dann wie folgt ausgegeben werden: "Hannover Richtung Laatzen zwischen A37 AK Hannover-Anderten und B6 Messegelände stockender Verkehr".The fact that at least one of the remaining bits in Label 12 is not zero, the receiver recognizes that at HM is not the end of traffic obstruction. Claims (6)
- Method for coding multi-road traffic hold-ups for digitally coded traffic messages which contain, as elements, a location situated on a road and the extent and direction of the traffic hold-up and are decoded using a location table, characterized in that in the case of reported traffic hold-ups whose extent means that they cover another road beyond a turn-off, a further element codes which of the roads turning off, what direction and what extent the reported traffic hold-up covers.
- Method according to Claim 1, characterized in that the traffic messages are cligitally coded on the basis of the ALERT-C protocol, and in that the additional element is the label 12.
- Method according to Claim 2, characterized in that the data field of the label 12 comprises three bits for selecting the road which comes after the turn-off and is covered by the traffic hold-up, one bit for the associated direction and four bits for the extent of the coverage of this road, and in that a further eight bits for coding of the same type are provided for the situation in which the traffic hold-up also covers a further change of road.
- Method according to Claim 3, characterized in that if the traffic hold-up covers more than three roads an additional label 12 is coded and transmitted for two respective further roads.
- Method for decoding traffic messages coded using the method according to one of Claims 2 to 4, characterized in that in the case of a traffic message which is provided with a location, a road, a direction and an extent and relates to a traffic hold-up, the label 12 is evaluated such that, starting from the junction for the road which is coded in the traffic message, the road coded in the label 12 and the direction specified in the label 12 and the extent specified in the label 12 are used to determine a location which, if no further coverage of the traffic hold-up is coded in the label 12, signifies the end of the traffic hold-up.
- Method according to Claim 5, characterized in that if a further road is coded in the label 12 then the location of the end of the traffic hold-up is read from the location table along the further road.
