Definitions
- the present invention relates to a connecting device between a shoe binding and a board slides, in particular a surfboard, comprising means for adjusting the position of the attachment relatively to the gliding board as well in translation only in rotation.
- the positions adopted for the practice of surfing are very variables depending on the disciplines practiced, the level or habits of the user.
- the feet can be more or less distant from each other or more or less inclined relative to the longitudinal axis of the surf, the orientations of the feet being generally not parallel to each other.
- It is therefore important to ability to change position of bindings on surf and the orientation of these bindings relative to the surf.
- Document FR 2 736 842 proposes for this purpose a interface intended to be mounted between the surf and the fixing, this interface comprising two rails, runner profiles, inserted longitudinally in surf along its longitudinal axis and two plates fitted with a slide which can move in the rails and can be oriented angularly around a vertical axis, rapid clamping means to immobilize the decks on the surf.
- Each plate has four threaded holes for fixing the base of the shoe binding, these four holes replacing the inserts found in standard boards.
- Such an interface has the advantage of quick adjustment, but it requires a special board whose rigidity is increased by the insertion of the rails, the latter modifying in any case the characteristics dynamics of the board.
- Such an interface presents in addition a significant weight. Despite this, such interface does not offer the possibility to adjust the position of the fasteners by moving in the direction transverse to the longitudinal axis of the board. Now, a such adjustment called "forward / backward" is more and more requested by users.
- connection device allowing an adjustment "front / rear” is described in the JP patent application 11-197287.
- the mounting base is held in place by stacking an openwork disc, a plate provided with four oblong holes or notches and a plate rectangular now the whole on the plank of surf by four screws.
- the intermediate plate can move in a direction only relative to the disc, along of a graduated scale, but its oblong holes, oriented perpendicular to its direction of travel, authorize its movement relative to the plate upper, allowing "front / rear” adjustment.
- This construction is equivalent to a construction simplified simply using an openwork disc and a holding plate.
- the object of the invention is to provide a device for simple and compact multidirectional adjustment link and ensuring a very secure maintenance of the fixing of shoe in a plane parallel to the board of slips.
- connection device is characterized in that it consists of a disc circular designed to be fixed to the gliding board and coming to fit in a circular ring intended to come maintain the shoe binding, the contour inner ring circular in which the disc fits being offset relative to the outline outside of the ring.
- the ring provides mechanical continuity between the base of the attachment and the disc. This continuity and the relatively low eccentricity make it practically impossible to move the binding even if the fixing screws are loose.
- the disc and the ring can be advantageously performed in terms of plastic, which reduces its weight relative to a metal execution.
- the amplitude of adjustment in a transverse direction at the longitudinal axis of the board is ample sufficient for needs.
- its amplitude can be increased if necessary by using a disc with oblong holes parallel for the passage of the fixing screws to the board.
- the adjustment by the eccentric ring can be continuous, but in this case, one of the solidarizations in rotation, between the disc and the ring or between the ring and the mounting base, will take place by simple friction. It is better to adopt a setting almost continuous by means of teeth, on the one hand, between the disc and the ring and, on the other hand, between the ring and the mounting base. Of course, one of the connections could be ensured by teeth and the other by friction.
- Figure 1 is a perspective view of a base surfboard binding mounted on a surfboard by means of a device according to the invention.
- FIG. 2 is a partial plan view, from above, of the attachment shown in Figure 1.
- Figure 3 is an exploded view of the disc and the ring.
- Figure 4 illustrates the possibility of adjustment front / rear on a surfboard.
- Figure 5 illustrates the possibility of adjustment according to the longitudinal axis of the surfboard.
- the fixing partially shown in Figure 1 comprises a flat base 1 having two walls side 2 and 3 substantially vertical and connected to the rear by an arch 4. On the side walls 2 and 3, inside these, is articulated, of known manner, a rear support piece 5 of form rounded. Between walls 2 and 3 further extend two straps not shown, provided with buckles, for keeping the shoe in the binding, known manner.
- the shoe binding is made integral with a gliding board 6 by means of a connecting device consisting of a circular disc 7 and a ring 8.
- the disc 7 has four oblong holes 9 arranged in square for fixing disc 9 to plate 6, the occurrence of a surfboard fitted with inserts threaded also arranged in a square according to the standard usual 4 x 4.
- the ring 8 is also circular and it is engaged in a circular cutout 10 of base 1.
- the ring 8 has on about the upper half of its thickness, a circular interior contour 11 eccentric relative to its outer contour and this offset is such that the inner contours and outside have a point of tangency A (figure 2).
- the ring 8 On the rest of its thickness, the ring 8 has a cylindrical part 12 concentric with the circle 11 but of smaller inside diameter, defining an area cylindrical socket for a cylindrical part 13 corresponding disc 7 ( Figure 3).
- the wall 12 defines a first flat span 14 at about mid-height of the ring 8. Above this span 14 extends a second bearing 15 in which is formed edge teeth 16. In the drawing there is a tooth-free area 17 whose rationale is just the thinning of the ring in this area.
- the ring 8 also has a notch 18 to facilitate the separation of the disc 7 and the ring 8.
- ring 8 has, in the lower half of its height, part 19 of a diameter smaller than the outer contour of the ring and forming interlocking part in the cutout corresponding diameter of the base 1. The latter cutout extends over about the bottom half of the thickness of the base 1 by defining a span toothed in which engages a toothing of edge 20 of ring 8 corresponding to the toothing of the base.

- Two of the holes 9 visible at the Figure 3 differ slightly from the holes 9 shown in the Figure 2 in that it has two narrowing defining three discrete positions for the screws fixation.
- the teeth 20, in cooperation with the teeth of the board 6, allows to orient the shoe binding relative to the longitudinal axis of the board, known manner.
- the ring 8 makes it possible to move the binding relatively disc 7, that is to say plate 6, in practically all directions, like this is illustrate with figures 4 and 5.
- Materials used for shoe fixation, the disc and the ring are generally plastics.
- Teeth 16 and 21 could be replaced by simple rough surfaces or by an auxiliary ring friction.

Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a connecting device between a shoe binding and a board slides, in particular a surfboard, comprising means for adjusting the position of the attachment relatively to the gliding board as well in translation only in rotation.
As explained in
Or, un
A connection device allowing an adjustment "front / rear" is described in the JP patent application 11-197287. The mounting base is held in place by stacking an openwork disc, a plate provided with four oblong holes or notches and a plate rectangular now the whole on the plank of surf by four screws. For orientation adjustment of the fixing the stacking is simply loosened. The intermediate plate can move in a direction only relative to the disc, along of a graduated scale, but its oblong holes, oriented perpendicular to its direction of travel, authorize its movement relative to the plate upper, allowing "front / rear" adjustment. This construction is equivalent to a construction simplified simply using an openwork disc and a holding plate. In any case, a space important is necessary, in the plane of the disc, between the inner edge of the disc and the plate which holds, for adjustment, and the disc is not maintained, parallel to its plan, only by forces friction caused by tightening the screws. These forces may be insufficient to retain the fixation in the event of sudden and relatively effort high exerted on the bond, as this happens when practicing surfing. In addition, given the forces that the perforated disc must support, this one can hardly be made of plastic.
The object of the invention is to provide a device for simple and compact multidirectional adjustment link and ensuring a very secure maintenance of the fixing of shoe in a plane parallel to the board of slips.
The connection device according to the invention is characterized in that it consists of a disc circular designed to be fixed to the gliding board and coming to fit in a circular ring intended to come maintain the shoe binding, the contour inner ring circular in which the disc fits being offset relative to the outline outside of the ring.
The ring provides mechanical continuity between the base of the attachment and the disc. This continuity and the relatively low eccentricity make it practically impossible to move the binding even if the fixing screws are loose. The disc and the ring can be advantageously performed in terms of plastic, which reduces its weight relative to a metal execution.
The amplitude of adjustment in a transverse direction at the longitudinal axis of the board is ample sufficient for needs. About the adjustment along the longitudinal axis of the board, its amplitude can be increased if necessary by using a disc with oblong holes parallel for the passage of the fixing screws to the board.
The adjustment by the eccentric ring can be continuous, but in this case, one of the solidarizations in rotation, between the disc and the ring or between the ring and the mounting base, will take place by simple friction. It is better to adopt a setting almost continuous by means of teeth, on the one hand, between the disc and the ring and, on the other hand, between the ring and the mounting base. Of course, one of the connections could be ensured by teeth and the other by friction.
The accompanying drawing shows, by way of example, a mode of the invention.

l'embase 1.The shoe binding is made integral with a
l'embase.The
fixation.The
The
The
In Figure 4 the fasteners are oriented in such a way so the surfer has his feet pointing up drawing. The left binding occupies a position moved back as far as possible relative to a middle position, while the right binding occupies a position advanced as far as possible relative to its middle position. It is thus possible to make an adjustment "before behind".
par les trous oblongs 9.In FIG. 5, fixing on the left, the
Materials used for shoe fixation, the disc and the ring are generally plastics.
